Chapter Forty-Seven
BLAIR
It feels good to be running from Calix, playing with him without a care in the world like we did when we first met. That wasn’t so long ago, but it feels like a lifetime. The wind blows my hair behind me, and I let out a nervous giggle when I glance back to see Calix standing stock-still, watching me with his arms crossed. My heart leaps into my throat when he smirks, letting me know he, too, is enjoying our little game.
I know it’s pointless running from a werewolf—not just a werewolf, though; an Alpha. The strongest and fastest in his pack, no less. But damn, I love the thought of being chased. Of being caught. The earthy scent greets my nostrils as I duck and dive through tree branches, no longer attempting to run but to hide. Because I’m not stupid—he’ll catch me. He always does.
“You know I can smell you, right?” Calix drawls from a distance, his lazy drawl echoing between the trees. “That I can sniff you out?”
I press myself against the trunk of the biggest tree I can find and suck in a breath, my heart pounding frantically in my chest.
“You smell delicious, Blair.”
His voice makes me ache, a yearning deep within that draws me to him, that makes me want to wave my arms in the air and scream my location to him. But I don’t.
“The best thing is, your pussy will lead me directly to you.”

My eyes widen as he pushes on my shoulder, showing me he wants me on my knees. His other hand grips my hair, and even though pain shoots through my scalp, I bend, maintaining eye contact as he gazes at me. Still, I refuse to make this easy for him.
I don’t make a move to slip his pants down, and he stares at me expectantly, his jaw ticking like he knows what I’m doing.
“Suck my cock, Blair.”
