His words have a seriously delicious effect on me, and I can’t help but remember how big his dick was when he shoved it down my throat. My pussy warms at the thought, and I bite my lip. I hate how horny he makes me.
“Stop it,” Calix growls, slamming his hand on the wheel. “Fuck, stop it.”
I freeze and stare at him, my cheeks throbbing with heat. “What? Stop what? I didn’t say anything.”
“Everything you feel…” Calix groans, and I blink rapidly, waiting for him to finish the sentence. “I feel.”
No way.
“I don’t understand…” I whisper as he turns to glare at me, his eyes smoldering with a need so intense I almost gasp.
I’m aware I’m dealing with an animal, but never has it been clearer. Even in wolf form, he doesn’t look like he does now.
“The need to mark you is strong,” Calix explains, his voice cracking. “The need to bury myself in your cunt is all I can think about.”
My heart leaps in my chest, and it’s on the tip of my tongue to beg him to do it, to take me right here in the truck. But I don’t.
What’s with the word cunt, anyway? What about calling it my delicate flower?
Ew.
He thinks I’m his mate, and I’m not even sure what planet I’m on.
“Okay,Mr Romance,” I respond hoarsely, suppressing the need to beg for him to fuck me. “Maybe we can have a date first?”
This takes him by surprise, and he laughs, a deep booming noise that rocks the truck. He shakes his head and looks at me, his eyes duller now.
“You’re funny.”
I gasp and swat his leg. “I’m serious. All this talk of burying yourself in my ‘cunt’ is concerning. I don’t even know your favorite color.”
Calix’s shoulders shake with more laughter, but he grins at me and says, “Black.”
I wrinkle my nose in disappointment, and he raises an eyebrow.
“You don’t like black?”
“It’s the absence of color.”
“Let me guess; yours is pink.”
“Like my ‘cunt’ before you ruin it,” I tease, and he laughs again.
I don’t think I’ve ever liked a sound as much as I like this one, and I smile to myself, pride blossoming in my chest that I’ve made him laugh. I made the Big Bad Wolf laugh.
We sit in silence until he turns off the main road, headlights showing another dirt road.
My chest tightens but then releases, and I hold a hand to it, unsure what that feeling was.
“Are you okay?” Calix asks, not missing a beat.
“Yeah, my chest just went tight, but it’s okay now.”
Calix nods. “We’re going to a meeting. The pack that attacked our pack has struck again. We’re here to make a plan.”
Our pack?
“Okay,” I say, remembering what he told me about his mother being taken. “How bad is it? The other pack?”
