Page 29 of The Alpha's Seer
The wolf studies me, and I suck in a breath when I hear Calix in my head.
I'll be naked.
My cheeks flush like crazy, but I shrug.
“A wolf can't drive a car, right?”
“No.”
“Then change,” I whisper, wondering what the hell I'm doing. He's not going to—my thoughts die in the cavity of my brain as the wolf before me stands on two legs, its fur retracting and smoothing out, the snout shortening, and the teeth shrinking. Slowly, I see Calix, with his dark hair and glowing honey eyes, and as promised, his completely naked form.
Oh.
My.
God.
He's panting, and his body glistens with sweat. He's... beautiful.
And he's just changed from a wolf to a human before my very eyes.
“Holy fucking mother of God,” I whisper, dizziness taking over before darkness falls.
“She's tiny.”
“Humans are.”
“I know, but this one isreallytiny.”
“Yes, Soren, this one is really tiny.”
“Is she going to have pups?”
“Soren!”
I shift my head toward the voices, slowly opening my eyes to see a woman staring down at me, and beside her, a white-haired teenager with wide violet eyes.
“Hey,” the woman greets me with a smile, sending a warning glance to the boy beside her. “I'm Vix, and this is my son, Soren.”
I push myself up onto my elbows and blink, staring around me with confusion. I'm in a large room with brushed white walls and a huge window overlooking a sparkling blue lake. Mountains dominate the backdrop, and there's nothing but trees around us.
“Where am I?”
Soren snorts, and Vix sends him from the room with a snarl. “Outside!”
Vix has luminous blue hair that cascades around her shoulders in huge waves, and her eyes are the same violet shade as her son’s. She places her hands on her hips and sighs, peering down at me.
I shrink back, and she laughs almost musically.
“You're a guest of the Moonlust Pack, sweetie.”
“Pack?” I echo, my eyes darting around us.
Vix purses her lips and then moves towards the door. “I'll get Alpha Calix for you.”
My brows knit at her words. “Alpha?”
Vix looks panicky and opens the door with one finger held up. “I'll be right back.”
