The food was done and they all crowded around to fix their plates like they hadn’t eaten in days. Ahvi beamed with pride as everyone complimented her on the smell alone. Her appetite was gone, like most cooks, after tasting and testing everything while cooking. She also made sure to clean up as she went with Lunar’s help, of course. Even though he didn’t really help her cook, he had sampled so much that he was full too.
Ahvi loved cooking because it was something she found herself good at. In school she did just enough to pass but never pushed herself harder to gain recognition. Ish wasn’t hard on her like that. Ish was a blue-collar worker so just graduating from high school was good enough for him. That and as long as she didn’t have the school calling him for nonsense ’cause his daughter couldn’t act like she was raised right.
Now, she wished she would’ve thought about the future more. Having a culinary degree would have taken her a long way. At least then, she would’ve been able to find a job that brought her some kind of joy. Ahvi felt right now she’d be lucky if she got hired at a call center since most of her previous work experience had been in fast food.
She looked around the room a little taken aback when she didn’t see Mav and Tiny.
They stayed at the house too but maybe they decided to sleep in. Ahvi wasn’t too sad about not having to run into Tiny even though she was nice for the most part. There was just something so intimidating about black mothers and their sons. Especially, when their son was a famous rapper and came from a wealthy family. Yea, Ahvi was more than intimidated by Tiny.
Finally, Mav and Tiny strolled in like they still owned the place. They were dressed down and Tiny looked well sexed. Her already bright skin had an extra sheen to it, making Lunar scoff.
Her walk was always graceful. Her hair was wrapped under a satin scarf, gold bangles stacked like armor on both wrists, and her perfume smelled like somebody’s expensive auntie with old secrets. She didn’t say much at first, just floated through the kitchen taking inventory.
“Good morning. Where y’all get all this food from?” Tiny asked, waving at everyone before going over to Kamari. That little boy melted her heart even though he didn’t fool with her.
Luna chewed her food before responding. “Ahvi cooked…it’s real good too.”
Even with the small streaks of gray coiled in her naturally curly hair, Luna didn’t look a day over twenty-five. Ahvi figured Lunar’s family had to be some of God’s favorites ‘cause they were young, healthy and gifted enough to turn their talents into wealth.
Mav stepped into the kitchen wearing an old school button-up, the grey in his beard catching the sunlight from the open concept kitchen and living room. He looked around the room like he was checking the temperature. “This you, Ahvi?” he asked, low but full of respect.
She nodded, feeling small but warm. “Yes, sir.”
“Move around with that sir shit.” He rubbed his hands together and nodded. “Smells like Sunday in here.”
“She made everything, too,” Solar said added, digging into her plate with zero shame. “Red velvet waffles, shrimp and grits, roasted potatoes. Little Lunar better choose wisely.”
“Nigga already choosing…been chose. Ahvi know what she doing… cooking this lovely spread,” Qamar teased, gaining him a glint from Tiny.
Ahvi rolled her eyes. She couldn’t even defend herself because she was trying show out a little. Even if she didn’t want to admit it. Instead, she washed her hands to fix herself a mimosa.
“I got it,” Lunar stepped up, his other hand resting protectively on the small of her back.
Passing Ahvi her drink, Lunar handed Mav a plate and pointed him to the head of the table.
“This your house, son,” Mav said.
“And you gave it to me,” Lunar answered, all pride in his voice.
Mav chuckled,“Still.”
That was the thing about this house. Yea, Lunar had it in his name, but the spirit of Mav and Tiny lingered in the walls. From the picture of the family reunion in the hallway to the mismatched mugs in the cabinet that Tiny swore were hers ‘from back when’. You couldn’t move around here without bumping into legacy.
Lunar was their legacy, so of course they would pass it to him.
Everyone gathered around the big wooden table with their plates full. This was all a piece of life that Ahvi never got to experience. Even with the tension between her and Tiny, this was all a dream to her. Kamari fit right in too. It was like this was where they were meant to be.
Butta walked in, her skin fresh like sleep had treated her kindly. She tried to slide past the kitchen unnoticed, to sneak out without anyone noticing. She was so thankful her sister hadn’t asked for her car back yet because catching rides and Ubers was expensive when she was a broke high schooler.
“Girl, you spent the night?” Jaci grinned, poking her fork at Butta’s hoodie. “Thought you went home.”
Ahvi paused, then looked over her shoulder like she misheard ‘cause there was no way her seventeen-year-old sister spent the night and she didn’t know.
Butta smirked, really wanting to cuss Jaci out since Jaci knew damn well she stayed over. Hell, the two of them had snuck some of the liquor when the adults started retreating to their rooms. “I fell asleep.”
“Where?” Ahvi asked, one hand on her hip, the other still holding the orange juice.
Butta’s eyes darted to Monday for a moment, but quickly bounced back to her sister just as quick hoping Ahvi wouldn’t put two and two together.
“ Where you sleep at, Porsha?” Ahvi pressed, side-eying her hard.
Butta shrugged way too casually, “Somewhere.”
JJ and Halo both hollered at the same time, “ Somewhere? ”
Luna popped JJ, warning him to mind his damn business and hush so she could get the tea.
Butta rolled her eyes, snatching a biscuit off someone’s plate. “Don’t y’all got TikTok dances to go practice or something?”
Halo rolled her eyes, “Girl, we ‘bout the same age.”
Javen laughed at his daughter. She was a handful.
“I swear them was supposed to be my girls. They don’t care what they say…out here making auntie proud,” Solar gushed.
It was true. Luna joked a lot about how her girls were so smart mouthed like her little sister. Luna wasn’t a bitch by any means but she liked to steer clear of confrontation. It served her no purpose.
Ahvi stepped closer, narrowing her eyes. “Who’s room, Butta?”
Butta dipped her biscuit in syrup, real slow. “I don’t remember.”
“Lie again,” Jaci sang out.
Monday coughed into his cup, then looked straight at the ceiling like it owed him money. Lunar watched the whole thing unfold, trying not to smile.
Ahvi crossed her arms. “I know you not sneaking around with nobody under my nose.”
“I didn’t sneak,” Butta said, deadpan. “I walked... “
“And ended up in someone’s bed? ” Ahvi stepped up to her little sister ready to put her head through the wall.
Butta thought because she was taller than Ahvi, she could test her limits. Too bad, Ahvi never got that memo. On a bad day, she would put Butta on her back.
Butta just winked and turned to Kamari. “Mari, tell your mama mind her business.”
Kamari babbled something and everyone at the table burst out laughing.
Monday still hadn’t looked anywhere but up.
Mav cut his steak like nothing was happening. “Y’all better be lucky this food hittin’,” he muttered to his son knowing he was going to have a long talk with him about last night to get to the bottom of it.
Tiny shook her head. “Monday why the hell you keep looking up like you praying to God?”
Sucking his teeth, Monday looked everywhere but at Butta. It was hard when she was so fine to him but if he looked, he’d give himself away.
“Exactly,” Stephanie added with a sip of her mimosa. “Next thing you know, they got a baby named Tuesday.”
“Don’t play with me,” Butta said, pointing her fork. “Ain’t nobody naming no baby Tuesday.”
Ahvi swung, smacking her upside the head. “You ain’t having no fuckin’ baby period!”
“Girl!” Butta’s eyes swelled with tears from being embarrassed. Sometimes her sister did too much.
Lunar went to grab Ahvi. “Chill,” he hummed in her ear calming her instantly.
Solar squealed. “Okay, grown man!” she clapped. “Get your girl in check.”
“Calm down, Solar.” Tiny sipped her drink. “It ain’t that deep.”
Listening to Tiny, Ahvi wanted to say something to her too. She was already pissed that Butta was acting like a hoe blinded by money when she knew better. Monday was out of her league like Little Lunar was out of hers. She needed to get her shit together, before she found herself lost and broken from her own imagination.
JJ grinned before adding onto the joke that no one was laughing at anymore. “Wednesday would slap though.”
The table cracked up again.
Ahvi just shook her head, yanking Lunar to the side. “You knew she still was here?” she asked, keeping her words low, but the bite was still there. She wasn’t mad, just… big sister irritated.
Lunar smirked. “I don’t be in people’s business.”
“That’s a yes.”
“I’m sayin’…” he chuckled, “She wanted to be where her big sister was and got caught up… I’m sure it ain’t nothing that’ll make a baby. Monday still a virgin…well he was before last night.”
“Lunar!” Ahvi fussed, “keep playin’ with me…she got a lot of shit ahead of her and I don’t want Butta to get caught up in some puppy love or lust or whatever that shit is.” She sighed, remembering when she fell in love for the first time. Ish shut that shit down quick.
“I think you putting too much stock in some shit that probably don’t even matter. Talk to her about it later and I’ll check in with my little brother. I can’t have him getting in the family before me.” Lunar gave her his signature smile, full of swag.
She looked at him for a second longer than she meant to, before looking away. “You annoying,” she muttered.
“You like it.”
She smiled instead of flat out lying before joining everyone else again.
Solar and French’s kids, Frenchy and Apollo were trying to convince Qamar’s son, QJ to play Uno for money, while Griff was in the fridge claiming somebody stole his recovery juice. It was clear Stephanie turned him upside down last night.
Solar tapped her glass for silence. “Can we do a quick toast though?”
Stephanie grinned. “Here she go.”
“For real,” Solar said. “I just wanna say, shout out to Ahvi for this bomb ass food. You didn’t have to do it, but you did—and it tastes like love, so we feel it. And if you teaching classes, let me know so I can make this for my man every morning.”
Solar was becoming her favorite out of the adults in Lunar’s family. She was so down to earth and even took up for her when it came to Tiny’s standoffish ways.
Grabbing Solar’s face, French tongued her down. “All I need is you in the morning,” he growled in her ear. “Welcome to the family, baby girl.” He smiled at Ahvi.
Ahvi dabbed at her eyes. French and Bu had to be fighting for her heart with the loving way their presence and words seem to cut into her.
Aku swooned, loving to see her daddy dote on her mama that way. It was all she ever wanted for herself.
Everyone lifted their cups and mumbled little praises, clinking glasses, even the kids lifted their juice in the air.
Tiny sipped her drink but didn’t say anything. She just watched Ahvi across the table like she was trying to solve a math problem that didn’t quite add up.
Mav leaned back in his chair, stretching. “You gotta chill, princess,” he coddled her with the pet name he’d given when they first met. His promise of princess treatment was still holding true. “You focusing on her when you need to keep your foot on Monday’s neck. He sneaking round with her sister.”
“Monday, is still a virgin,” Tiny waved him off, talking under her breath.
“Lunar was still a virgin once, too…but okay.”
Tiny’s gaze swept over the room, her eyes landing on Monday and Butta, their laughter intertwining like the carefree melodies of youth. They were just kids, wrapped up in a world where consequences seemed distant. Her attention then shifted to Lunar, whose eyes softened, brimming with unspoken affection as he watched Ahvi cradle Kamari. It wasn’t that Tiny disliked Ahvi—she did like her. But an unshakable unease settled in her chest, a feeling she couldn’t quite articulate.
“You don’t think he’s getting too caught up so fast?” Tiny couldn’t take her eyes of her first born.
Mav sighed. “You ever thought maybe age or circumstances don’t have nothing to do with falling in love? I know for a fact time they don’t because the first time I saw you, I was ready to marry you.” He leaned back, focusing on Lunar and Kamari. It was like he’d taken a trip back to the past. “I remember when I met a young single mother trying to figure life out.”
Her chest rose and fell with a tattered breath. “Maybe that’s what I’m scared of,” she mumbled under her breathe.
But Mav heard her loud and clear. “I think that’s why you shouldn’t be scared. It all worked out for you, princess. You gotta let Little Lunar figure his own shit out. That boy ain’t been sad or reckless since he got that little boy in his arms. Maybe this is his breakthrough.”
Tiny had always been cautious not to embody the stereotype of the overbearing mother or jealous mother. But her instinct to shield Lunar was overpowering and a mother’s instincts were hardly ever wrong.
He was his father’s son—a hopeless romantic that wore his heart on his sleeve. His emotions had the power to elevate him to euphoria or plunge him into despair. The serene glow that enveloped him whenever he was near Kamari ignited a deep-seated fear within her. If Ahvi chose to move on, Tiny foresaw Lunar’s heart shattering, a devastation she was desperate to prevent.
Maybe Tiny’s apprehension wasn’t solely about safeguarding Lunar. Ahvi remained unaware of the depths of Lunar’s impulsive nature, the lengths he might go to when it came to love and loss. Tiny’s protective instincts flared, not just for her son, but for the delicate balance of hearts entwined in a way that could leave both of them bruised.
For now, she’d chill like her husband suggested but Tiny had her eyes on Lunar and Ahvi. Because again, Mav was right. Lunar looked happier and more at peace when it wasn’t that long ago when her son seemed to be depressed.
Depression wasn’t something that had a face but Tiny was no fool—Lunar was on the verge of doing something he wouldn’t be able to come back from. So, maybe she needed to chill and let the chips fall where they may. She probably needed to give Ahvi some grace too.
“I know you worry about him, but Lunar was raised right, Tiny. Let him see this through and if it don’t work, I’m sure he’ll learn from it and not spiral.” Mav kissed the side of her face.
* * *
Everyone was scattered now in their own little worlds. Butta was fake asleep on the couch with her phone still in her hand, and Mav was dozing off like Sundays were built just for naps.
Ahvi stood in the kitchen rinsing the last of the serving pans she found while looking for things to cook with. The water ran warm over her fingers, and steam curled up around her face as she zoned out for a second.
“You don’t have to do all that,” Tiny’s voice came from behind her.
Ahvi didn’t flinch, just glanced over her shoulder. “I don’t mind. I ain’t got nothin’ else to do.”
Unhurriedly, Tiny walked over. She wore soft house slippers and that same silk wrap from earlier. Reaching for a dish towel she started drying the utensils without being asked.
It was silent for a moment with just the sound of the running water and Kamari babbling in the background from the floor. He’d been crawling and pulling up on everything.
“You grew up with your mama?” Tiny asked.
Ahvi blinked, caught offguard. “Not really. My daddy raised me.” She didn’t go into detail.
Tiny nodded like she already figured that out. “That explains some things.”
Ahvi tilted her head slightly. “Like what?”
Tiny gave her a look. “You carry yourself like someone who always had to figure it out without being told. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with it. But it’ll make you tired if you never let nobody help.”
Ahvi turned off the water, drying her hands on a towel. “I’m workin’ on that. Still learning, you know?”
Tiny folded a fork into the towel, drying it with slow care. “You seem like a good mama.”
“I try to be,” Ahvi sighed.
“Kamari’s a sweet boy.”
“Thank you.”
Another pause made the weird moment even more awkward. Ahvi didn’t know what she was supposed to do or say or even feel. She knew Tiny wasn’t a fan and prayed this wasn’t one of those nice nasty moments because she’d given as much leeway as her patience and respect. This time, Ahvi might have to cuss her out.
“What’s your plan?”
Ahvi looked up, face bunched and her words on guard ready to spit venom if she needed to. “Plan for what?”
“For all this.” Tiny gestured loosely. “You and Kamari…and Lunar. I see y’all gettin’ close.”
Ahvi’s breath caught a little, but she didn’t break. “I don’t have it all figured out,” she admitted. “But I’m not here to play with nobody’s heart or time. Truthfully, I don’t even come from a world where love is on our radar. I’m just trying to make a good life for my son.”
Tiny nodded, folding another dish into the towel. “You know…Lunar’s heart too big. He takes on more than he should…always been that way since he was a little boy. Always trying to fix and protect and cover people. It’s how I raised him, but sometimes that kind of love gets people hurt.”
“I’m not asking him to save me,” Ahvi was starting to take offense to their little pow wow. She didn’t ask for Lunar to be in her life or for Tiny to approach her with this conversation.
Tiny met her eyes.
“I’m not,” Ahvi repeated, “and I would never let Kamari be used to pull someone in that didn’t want to stay.”
That hung in the air.
Heavy, yet honest. Whatever Tiny thought of her, she had it all wrong. Ahvi wasn’t a user. And just as much as Tiny wanted to protect her son, Ahvi wanted to protect hers.
“You ever been in love before?” Tiny asked.
Ahvi hesitated, then nodded. “I think so.”
Tiny raised a brow. “With Kamari’s father?”
Ahvi shrugged. “At the time…I thought it was love. But now? I think it was survival. We both needed each other for something we didn’t know how to name. That kind of bond feels like love…until it don’t.”
Tiny didn’t say anything after that, just let it linger in the air. She folded the towel and set it on the counter, then she looked down at Kamari. He was halfway asleep now, just lying innocently on the floor. Tiny smiled because he was so precious, that much she couldn’t deny.
“I want what’s best for my son,” she said finally, “that includes who he loves. And what he attaches himself to.”
“I want what’s best for me too,” Ahvi replied. “And if that ends up being Lunar…I’m not scared of earning my place, but I won’t fight a war that don’t need to be fought.”
Tiny didn’t respond. She just gave a small nod, like she’d heard her. She turned to walk out the kitchen but stopped suddenly, turning back around. “You make good waffles,” she said over her shoulder and walked out.
Ahvi let out a breath she didn’t even know she was holding. She walked over to pick Kamari up, holding him close to her chest. “I got us,” she whispered into his hair, “no matter what.”
Lunar came into the kitchen with his hands out. “Let me go lay him down with Butta so you can take a walk with me.”
“A walk?” Ahvi scrunched her nose because who just went for a walk? This had to be some rich people shit.
“Yea, man…”
* * *
The hill wasn’t far, maybe a fifteen-minute walk behind the house, through a narrow trail half-hidden by tall grass and wildflowers. They didn’t talk much at first, just walked in silence like it didn’t need to be filled.
Ahvi knew Jade City was more than the slums on the East and the wanna be nice parts on the West but this part of Jade City was new to her. Even the Publix she went to was different from the ones she frequented out West. Still, Jade City was home for her.
When they got to the top, Ahvi wiped the back of her hand against her forehead. “Shit,” she said out of breath.
The view was breathtaking and something out of a magazine or from some rich girls IG post that found its way on Pinterest.
The sun had started to dip, casting a pinkish hue across the trees and rooftops in the distance. It looked like the world had paused just to admire itself.
“Damn,” she whispered ogling God’s creation.
“I used to come out here when I was little,” Lunar revealed, spreading the blanket out on the grass. “Climb up and sit here for hours. Sometimes I’d freestyle like I was on stage.”
The memory brought a smile to his face and Ahvi’s heart smiled as if she could see him as a boy rapping to an audience of birds and whatever crawled around up here.
“By yourself?”
“Yea.” He sat down, arms resting on his knees. “Used to watch the moon… wondering about the man I never met.”
Ahvi eased down beside him. “Lunar?”
Saying his name sounded so magical. It rolled off her tongue while pattering through her chest.
He nodded. “Mav raised me—he’s my Pops. He’s everything I could want in a father. But when you know someone else existed out here with your DNA…it’s a weird thing.” Lunar sighed, his hands resting behind him as he leaned his body back. “I used to think if I stared at the moon long enough, he’d feel it…like some unspoken connection.”
She didn’t say anything at first. Just leaned back on her hands, watching the sun fade and the first hints of night roll in.
“That’s beautiful,” she finally said.
“Or dramatic.”
“Both,” she smiled. “But I get it. I used to talk to the sky too. Not about my daddy though…that nigga was here teaching me how to be a man,” she laughed. “I would just talk because the moon seemed to be the only one listening. My daddy was so strict, he ran most of my friends away.”
He looked over at her, soft eyes under thick lashes. “You ever feel like you were raised with half a heart?”
Ahvi nodded slowly. “Yea. Like something inside you always searching.”
Lunar agreed with a head nod. “You still searching?”
She glanced at him, her voice low. “I think I found a piece.”
That made him pause.
He reached out and tucked a loose curl behind her ear. “You say shit like that and expect me to act normal?”
She chuckled, her eyes meeting his. “Ain’t nothing normal about this.”
“You right,” he agreed, his voice thicker now. “Nothing about you feel regular. Not even a little.”
The way he looked at her made her insides clench. His eyes didn’t just sit on her, they studied her. Like he’d been watching her long enough to know how she moved when she was nervous, how she bit her lip when she held back, how she tucked love in between sarcasm and silence.
He leaned in, his voice a whisper. “I been trying not to kiss you for days now.”
“Why? You tryna be good?” she asked softly, begging him to be bad.
“‘’Cause if I kiss you, I’m gon’ want to taste the rest of you too.”
Her thighs clenched as she licked her lips. “You always talk like that?”
“Hell nah.” Those dimples did their big one when she looked over at him.
Her desire for him seemed to grow more and more with each passing second. Ahvi leaned in just enough for him to take the hint. “I want you to be bad.” Her voice came out so flirty, it almost got swept up by the wind.
Lunar grabbed her chin, examining her lips while licking his own. He was so eager to devour her, but scared she might tell him it was all too much like Apple did. When she leaned in more, those eyes telling him to be bad, he threw his reservations to the wind.
The kiss started off light, their lips gently brushing like a secret was being passed between them, then it deepened. His hand moved to her jaw, his thumb brushing against her cheek as he pulled her closer. Her fingers gripped the collar of his shirt like she was holding on for balance—like she was scared the kiss would pull her into something she couldn’t come back from.
And maybe it would. Who was she kidding? She was already so wrapped up in him that she knew either nothing good would come from all this or perfection would slap her in the face.
Lunar pulled back slightly, his forehead resting against hers. “You taste like trouble,” he said with an even deeper timbre.
“I thought you liked trouble or is that just some shit you give the world?” Ahvi challenged. She was a grown woman and sometimes grown women did shit they might regret later. But all the fun shit seemed to come from reckless behaviors.
“I fuckin’ do, Ahvi,” he admitted to giving the world hell. “I want to do the nastiest shit to you,” he pecked her lips, “ with you.” Another kiss that shook her soul and had her straddling his lap.
Ahvi searched his eyes. “Do it.”
“Don’t play with me, Ahvi.”
“I don’t play, Lunar,” she fired back, her eyes low like she had smoked something when all she was high off was him. Lunar’s full and gentle personality made her dizzy.
Lunar was up for the challenge. “Show me,” his head dipped. “Show me how fuckin’ bad you want me to be, Ahvi.”
Her eyes smiled as she lifted her shirt over her head. Her black bra wasn’t anything special—a simple one from Walmart. There was no lace, no fancy design or anything that accentuated them. But it was the sexiest shit he’d seen in his life.
“Don’t stop…keep going.” Lunar egged her on.
Next, Ahvi unhooked her bra allowing her breasts to bounce out. Her dark areolas made his mouth water. Sitting up, Lunar eyed them before reaching out to run his thumb over the left one. Goosebumps sprouted from her skin like it was winter when it was hot as hell with only a light breeze blowing in the wind.
“I want to make love to you,” Lunar sang the song that seemed to play in his mind. “Ahvi,” he huffed.
“Hmm?”
Lunar chewed his bottom lip. “I need to see more…let me see all of you, Ahvi.” He sounded so exposed that he didn’t even recognize his own voice. Lunar was in another dimension and never wanted to be anywhere else.
Ahvi stood and pulled her biker shorts down along with the thongs. Looking around, she smiled at how free he had her. On a hill, butt ass naked…who would’ve thought?
Ahvi perched herself back on his lap, her bare pussy brushing against his pants, igniting a spark that traveled up her spine. She felt the warmth of his gaze as it roamed over her, not just seeing her nakedness but absorbing every curve and every line that defined her. Her tiger stripes . His eyes held a blend of reverence and desire, a silent appreciation that made her pulse quicken.
“Lunar,” Ahvi moaned, and he was barely touching her. That’s how magnetic her pull to him felt.
Under his intense gaze, she felt both vulnerable and empowered, a paradox that sent a shiver through her. Their breaths synchronized, mingling in the charged space between them, creating an unspoken dialogue of longing and connection. Words weren’t necessary. Their shared looks spoke volumes, weaving emotion and anticipation together, neither knowing where one started or the other ended.
“Tell me what you need me to do, Ahvi?” Lunar pinched her nipple, falling weak to his own desires.
Her back arched. “Me...I need you to do me.”
He tapped her bare thigh, a universal sign to get up.
Lunar stood and removed his clothes while making eye contact. If she was going to be naked in the wild, so was he. Tiny raised a gentleman.
Ahvi watched his every move, swallowing down her shock when her eyes landed on the most chocolatey, long, thick, and veiny dick she’d ever seen in her life. It was semi hard and curved, leaning on his slim built thighs.
She was so turned on, she could feel her arousal dripping out of her.
Lunar could smell it.
“Lay your pretty ass down…legs wide. I want to see how pink your pussy is,” gentle Lunar had officially left the building. “I don’t care how sensitive you get, don’t fuckin’ tap out.”
Ahvi gulped, nodding her head while wondering what the hell she’d agreed to. Regardless, she laid on the blanket and made sure to spread her legs as far as they could go. Her breathing hitched when Lunar lowered himself to the ground too.
“Talk to me, Ahvi...all I hear is these fuck ass birds chirping and shit.” He swiped his tongue over his lips.
“I—I don’t know what to say,” she stuttered.
Lunar smacked the inside of her thigh. “You better figure something out. You told me to be bad, Ahvi…maybe I should’ve warned you that I’m the fuckin’ baddest.”
Tucking her lips in her mouth, Ahvi nodded her understanding that she had fucked up and Lunar was about to demolish her on that damn hill.
He slapped the inside of her thigh again making her squeal. “Don’t nod, answer me.” He looked away but when he faced her again, there was something so sinister in his eyes. “I gotta break you in…I see what this is.” Lunar placed a kiss on her ankle. “Can I break you, Ahvi? Tell me I can break you.”
“Yes!” she yelled, his gentle kiss made her come undone. “Break me, Lunar! Oh my Go—” An orgasm ripped through her. Ahvi felt ashamed at how easily Lunar had her yelling and releasing when he barely touched her but, she didn’t want him to stop.
Meanwhile Lunar was in heaven. The smile on his face was so bright, so full, so sexy. “Ooo wee, Ahvi.” Suddenly his finger was inside of her pulling more cum out of her. “Wet and tight? We might have a winner.”
“Lunar, please,” Ahvi squirmed, needing him to fuck her or tell her to put her clothes back on, but being naked like she was his for the taking was going to drive her insane.
“Please, what?” he asked slow grinding one finger in her. He was gentle but still managed to hit every spot. “Huh, Ahvi? Please what?”
She rocked her hips trying to get more of his finger inside of her.
Ahvi yelled out to the heavens when his lips landed on her pussy while his finger kept his pace. “Break me, please,” she begged, her hands tangling into her now messy ponytail. “Yes, right there.”
“I don’t need no fuckin’ tour guide. I know how to find my way just fine, Ahvi. Now, shut up and keep your hands and feet inside at all times.”
Just like that, Ahvi was done for. She released so hard, she became lightheaded and could’ve sworn she saw some animals watching them like they had a subscription to only fans.
“There she is…there’s my girl that don’t know how to be submissive.” Lunar licked his lips as she came down from her high.
When he stood, she used all her energy to push herself up. “Wait, what you doing?” She wanted to feel him inside of her.
Lunar’s eyes twinkled. “I haven’t broke you yet, Ahvi. Com’ere so I can get you dressed.”
“Wait, what?” His touch must’ve been so good that she lost her hearing or had lost her mind because she was confused.
“You said I can break you and I…will…break…you in my own time.” He slipped his clothes on so casually like he fucked all his girls on the hill. “Now, com’ere and let me put these clothes on you.”
She didn’t know what to say to that. So, she allowed him to help her put her clothes on. Every few seconds he kissed another part of her body. When she was fully dressed, she puckered her lips for him and kissed him, slowly. Like it wasn’t just about sex, but about all the things they didn’t have words for yet.
When they finally broke apart, he pulled her into his arms and they sat like that—bodies pressed together, watching the sky shift.
The moon showed up, just like he said it would. They watched it, enjoying the peace it brought them.
And she wondered if maybe, it had been watching them too.
