Page 65 of Ruthless Obsession
“Fuck, you’re beautiful.”
I pull my hand from his rough calloused palm.
“Thank you.” I peek at the TV.
Karla comes over. “What would you like to drink?” she asks Darran.
“I’ll have a scotch on the rocks and whatever she’s drinking.”
Karla narrows her gaze on me.
“Darran, thanks for the offer. I’m good,” I say.
I peek at Karla. “I’ll have another vodka on the rocks. Add it to my tab.”
She lifts a brow then walks away.
“Are you a regular here?” He asks.
“I will be going forward,” I say.
“Like the biker life, huh?” he asks.
“Yeah, they’re all about family.”
“How about you bring your food. We can chill in the game room on one of the couches. When your done eating we can shoot some pool.”
I smirk. “I’d just like to sit here, eat, and chat. You don’t need to get to know me better. Let’s just have a relaxed conversation. If you’re looking for anything more than you probably want to talk to any of the other women here.”
I’d been locked away for awhile. I miss talking to people. I talk to Mavis when he’s home, but he spends most of his time making my ex-boyfriends life a living hell.
“I want to stare into your beautiful brown eyes all night.”
Damn, there goes our sports conversation.
“Darran you can’t. I have a man. His name is Ruthless.”
Karla places our drinks on the counter.
He places cash on the bar, picks up his Scotch and gulps down the contents in one go. His eyes rove my breast and thighs.
Shit.
Did he hear what I said? It’s clear he doesn’t know who Ruthless is.
“You’re man’s lucky,” he says huskily.
I peek at Karla as I sip my vodka.
“Anything else, Ms. Marticon?”
I smile sweetly. “A glass of water, please.”
My eyes fall on Darran. “Have a good night.”
I notice bikers standing around the club. My hand rises low telling them to stand down.
“He rises to his feet and leans into my ear.
