I didn’t expect morning sex, but I’m all for it. He grabs a condom from my bag, tears it open, and rolls it on. I’m still stretched from last night, so it only takes a little prep to get me ready for him. He lasts longer this time. And damn, the boy is averyfast learner.
He fucks me so good my toes curl. I cry out as I come so hard I lose my breath. His mouth slams to mine as his orgasm peaks, causing his thrusts to falter and his body to jerk. He pants and drops his head to my chest as the last of his release ripples through him.
“You definitely made up for last night,” I say, trying to catch my breath.
Shiloh chuckles and gets off me. He doesn’t go far. He lies beside me and pulls me close.
Footsteps sound outside the tent.
“Not to interrupt happy time, but do y’all want some breakfast?” Ruben asks. “I know you’ve already had some sausage, but I have bacon and eggs.”
“Be right out,” I say. “And remind me to whoop your ass for the sausage remark.”
“You wanna dowhatto my ass? How naughty of you. At least buy me dinner first.”
“I’m going to kill him,” I whisper before sitting up.
Shiloh tugs me back down and kisses me hard on the mouth.
I melt against him. I think I could spend forever like this.
We eventually pull apart and get dressed before leaving the tent. I squint my eyes against the bright sun and walk over to Ruben. He’s frying bacon in a skillet on one of those portable propane gas burners.
I lightly jab him in the stomach before plopping down in a lounge chair.
“Asshole,” he says.
“Jerkface.”
Melody is sitting in the chair beside me and laughs. Shiloh asks Ruben if he needs any help, and I watch as the two of them prepare breakfast.
“Look at our men,” I say to Melody. “Making us food while we sit on our asses. Such a wonderful life.”
“You could help too, you know,” Ruben says.
“No, thanks. I’ll accidentally burn it.”
He nods. “Well, that’s true. Just sit there and look pretty, then.”
Shiloh looks over at me and softly smiles before cracking open an egg in the other skillet. His shy smiles will never get old to me. Neither will this light feeling in my chest each time I see them.

“Is that his car?” I ask when Shiloh and I get to his house and see a red convertible in the driveway. “What’s his name again?”
“Jesse,” he answers, pulling the keys from the ignition.
“Oh yeah. Like Jesse James. The outlaw.”
“Sure.” Shiloh shakes his head with a laugh and opens his door.
When he told me his dad is bisexual, all I could think about was the night I first met Landon and blabbed about that show he was watching. He seemed nervous when I mentioned the two main characters were gay, almost like he was caught doing something he shouldn’t. Which is silly.
You don’t have to be gay to watch a show about a gay couple. Watching the million different shows with hetero couples didn’t mean I was straight. But if Landon was keeping a secret like that, I can see why he’d panic a little. I used to refuse to even touch a pink shirt or anything in the store, even if it was in the men’s section, because I was terrified of my parents even suspecting that I might be gay.
So, I get it.
I grab my bag from the trunk and go over to my car to throw it in the back seat. Shiloh comes over to me, a nervous set to his eyes and jaw.
