“I know but I’m still trying to get used to this.”

“That was light work, so I hope you’re not going to give me shit about all the other stuff on deck.”

“Nope, I told you I’m picking my battles for now. If you want to lace me, I will be laced.”

I shut the door to the back seat and backed Makari against the side of the car, pressing my body to hers before I caged her in with my hands on the roof. “If I lace you, you have to lace me. Black, thin, and easy to remove.”

She grinned. “I guess I can handle that.”

I kissed her and stepped away to open her door, adjusting my dick. She could hold it but I might not be able to or we were gonna need that damn SUV to accommodate all the babies I was going to bless her pretty ass with.

“Where are we going?”As soon as I passed the exit that would take us back to the house, Makari had her eyes on me, frowning. I didn’t know how in the hell I was supposed to ever argue with this woman and not fuck her into resolution because she was cute as hell when balling up her damn face.

“Aquarium.”

“Aquarium? Why?”

“Because they have shit to do there and I figured Avi might like it. Hell, your ass will probably like it more than she does based on how you crashed out about the movie I took y’all to.”

She smiled cute as hell and I knew I was tripping because the way she smiled made me want to fuck her too. There wasn’t anything about this woman I didn’t like and that was a problem.

“How is this supposed to work?”

“We show up and look at fish.”

“You know what I mean, smart ass. I’m sure there are a lot of people with the same idea and I’m not exactly overjoyed about being caught up in another headline; so I hope you did your lil thing.”

“My lil thing?”

She smiled big as hell. “I would never disrespect you like that, so stop looking crazy. Your thing is very much not little. I meant the ‘pulling rank and leaning into your privilege’ thing.”

“Yeah, I hooked some shit up for us.”

“Okay then, this should be fun.”

We pulled up to the aquarium and parked in a private lot where Ced was waiting. We got Avi out and situated in her stroller and headed to the door. We met KP just inside. “All clear. They have a guide waiting. The staff has been notified to ensure they stay out of the way and give you guys space.”

“’Preciate that.” He nodded then spoke to Makari.

“We’ll shadow you from a distance.”

We waited for the guide assigned to us and I almost requested a new one when she wouldn’t stop grinning in my damn face. I think it was more the hype of who I was than her really wanting to fuck with me because she pulled it together and focused on Avi and Makari.

“We’re so excited to have you with us today. My name is Alison and I’ll be taking you around the aquarium through our private access areas so you can enjoy the day and bypass the crowds.”

“But we still get to see everything, right?”

When I laughed under my breath, Makari shot me a warning glare.

“Yes, absolutely, you’ll get to experience everything. Is there anywhere specific you would like to start?”

Makari shook her head. “No, I’ll let you handle the logistics.”

“Okay then Hayes family, let’s get started.” She beamed and motioned for us to follow her. We began with the touch pools which were shallow tanks with starfish and stingrays. I held Avi while she splashed her hands in the water, smiling while she tried to dive in. It probably looked like a big ass bathtub to her.After that, we hit up the tropical tunnel which had my baby blinking and swatting at the glass.

“You see the colors, pretty girl? You like that, don’t you?” I held her closer and she went wild, babbling and kicking like she wanted to be in there with them.

Makari looked just as engaged because she damn near had her face pressed against the glass. I walked up behind her and hooked an arm around her waist while she leaned back against me.
