“More like Loki actually.”
“Oh. Tom Hiddleston. Gimme.”
Mason laid out a change of clothes on the bed. “So that’s your type, huh?”
“I like all types,” I answered. “Wanna know my favorite though?”
His lips twitched as he held my gaze. “Sure.”
“Go look in the mirror.”
“Cute, deadly, anda smooth talker. Dangerous combination.” Mason zipped the duffel bag and tossed it by the door. “Is it cool if I take a quick shower before we head back? Raiden’s a cool guy and all, but I’m tired of wearing his clothes.”
“Mhm.” I watched him as he walked toward the bathroom, pulling off his shirt as he went. Warmth stirred in my veins at the peek of his abs. “It’s definitely okay.”
“I won’t be long,” he called from the bathroom before starting the water for his shower. “You can sleep if you need to.”
Sleeping was the furthest thing from my mind as he shed the rest of his clothes, the rustle of them reaching my ears from the other room. I sighed and rolled around on the bed.
Mason was naked. And getting wet. A wet, naked Mason with rippling muscles and a big, tall body I wanted to climb like a tree. I rolled to my other side and faced the wall. The sound of water hitting the tub was nothing but a tease.
Sloth had made me fall asleep while Mason and I were making out the first night he’d arrived at the mansion. We hadn’t even been able to take our clothes off before my pesky sin was like,“Hey, we’re gonna sleep now.”
And since then? We’d only kissed. Maybe he was nervous to do more with me. Afraid I’d pass out on him or something.
I recalled the callouses on his hands as he’d dipped them under the hem of my hoodie and slid them up my spine. His hard bulge against my ass as I straddled him. I squeezed my thighs together at the memory and shoved my face against the pillow.
The pillow smelled like him.
“Just go in there and fuck him,”Bellamy told me. Our telepathy had limits—we couldn’t do it over a large distance—but it could travel over several miles.“I can hear your deprived libido crying all the way from the mansion.”
“What if he doesn’t like me sexually?”
“You can’t be serious.”Bellamy sighed.“The dude is head over heels for you, Gray. He said you’re the sun, remember? So get your cute ass in there and light up his goddamn world.”
“Hey! That was a private conversation.”
“A conversation I eavesdropped on to make sure he didn’t say or do something I’d make him regret. Now. Either you fuck him, or I will.”
A growl tore through my throat.“No you won’t.”
“A little possessive, are we?”Bellamy asked.“Seems you’ve fallen victim to the fated mate thing after all.”
Victim. Of course Bellamy would see it that way. He had no interest in settling down with anyone. And why would he? Lust didn’t prevent him from being faithful to one person. As long as he got sex, he was happy. But the thing about Bellamy? No matter how charming and outgoing he seemed to be, he was actually a pretty private person. He didn’t get close to people—other than us.
“Okay,”I told Bellamy.“I’m going in.”
“Good boy.”
I sensed him leave my head. He was giving me privacy. I threw the blanket off and hopped out of bed. The bathroom door was slightly ajar. A sign that, maybe, Mason had wanted me to come in after him?
“Sloth incoming.” I pushed the door open and walked inside.
The pale-yellow shower curtain ruffled before Mason peeked around it, hair dripping wet. “I thought you’d be napping.”
Steam made the air heavy. But the water wasn’t all that was hot in the bathroom.
“Nope. Not tired yet.” I stepped closer. “Want some company?”
