“Cole’s off the rails”

Friends worry following mum’s tragic death

Concerned friends have spoken out about Cole Kennedy’s increasingly erratic behaviour after the 21-year-old Go Tos singer was photographed snorting cocaine in a West Hollywood nightspot at the weekend.

It’s unclear whether the pop heart-throb will face charges for his drug use, which could earn him a $1,000 fine or a year in a Californian slammer.

The pop star’s behaviour has become more and more “rock and roll” since his mother died three months ago. In recent weeks Kennedy has been kicked out of a New York nightclub, started a brawl in a swanky Los Angeles restaurant, and appeared onstage in Chicago sporting a black eye and barely able to stand upright. Some American fans booed the previously untouchable “British prince of pop.”

The Go Tos have been on tour in Asia and the U.S. since Orla Kennedy’s death from aggressive ovarian cancer in March.

A friend told The Bulletin: “He is extremely vulnerable. He needs protecting. He needs rehab. He’s not getting the support he needs from his record company. He’s too much of a money-spinner to take off the tour. We’re all incredibly worried about him.”…
