KATY

One of my favorite tasks to do these days was to wake up early and make my men sugary treats and guiltily steal some or more than some for myself.

But the happy glimmer in Luka’s eyes and the small smile on Lan’s lips got to me more.

I wasn’t perfect at it. Baking was something the old Katy would never have imagined doing.

I liked it, referring to her as the old Katy.

The version that I was slowly trying to shed.

Trying, at least.

But I think I was doing a lot better. I no longer had those nagging thoughts of self-doubt, cruel comparison, need to seek validation, or the need to fit in.

Instead, I just was.

I did the things I like—the things I loved.

Just because.

No underlying reason other than… it made me happy.

That was my only focus. I didn’t search for special ways or fancy remedies. Instead, I surrounded myself with people who actually loved me, while disregarding anything and everything that made me unhappy.

I had added plenty of chocolate chips to my batter when Lan walked in, shirtless, showing off his hard muscular body while rubbing his sleepy eyes.

“Morning Lan,” I said sweetly as he hugged me from behind. “You’re up early.” Lan was a sleeper, and apparently, so was Luka. On the weekends, they both loved to sleep almost till noon.

Lan’s warm hands splayed over my belly. “Morning, angel,” his throaty morning voice whispered while he traced his pillowy lips over my neck.

I groaned, leaning into him as my fingers threaded through his hair.

Every part of my body felt hypersensitive, just a bare touch from the tips of his finger made me all achy and weak boned.

“You wet for me, angel?” He nipped the shell of my ear.

“No.” My confident words didn’t match the wanton need leaking out of my voice. I was definitely wet. These days, all he had to do was speak, and there was a mess in my panties.

Maybe I should enjoy my libido while it lasted and take charge to demand what I wanted.

“Why does it sound like you’re lying—”

“I am.” My voice came out more resolute than meek. “I am wet. What are you going to do about it?” I held a calm expression as I looked at him over my shoulder.

He grinned. “I’m at your command, Ms. Katy. Whatever you wish.”

“I want you to get down on your knees and make me come,” I demanded in a sure tone while my insides trembled.

His grin widened, and he tipped his chin. “As directed. Give me just three minutes.”

And with that, he dropped to his knees in an instant. He lifted the skirt of my dress and dove between my thighs.

He didn’t even bother removing my panties completely and just slid them aside to accommodate his tongue inside my pussy.

And he fucked me with it.

His long warm strokes plunged inside my pussy over and over again while his palms gripped my inner thighs to keep them spread and wide for him.

My heart thundered in my chest, and my chin fell to the marble counter. The pleasure coursed through my body in tiny shock waves.

It didn’t even last two minutes, let alone three, before waves and waves of pleasure shot through my core, and my pussy tightened around his tongue as I came.

I lay my heated cheek on the cold counter as I caught my labored breath while Lan leisurely kept lapping my pussy clean.

The high of my post-orgasmic glow just left my body when a sleepy voice echoed through the walls.

“Hi, Katiew,” Luka mumbled, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes like Lan as he walked into the kitchen.

I startled, jerking my spine upright as I flashed Luka a small smile. The motion made my thighs strangle Lan’s head, and I could feel his nose tickling my sensitive clit, and it made my breath hitch.

“Where’s Lawndon?”

At the sound of Luka’s voice, Lan tapped my legs, and I widened my thighs to let him escape.

Thankfully, my dress was intact and my lower half was hidden behind the counter. Because I had no clue how to explain to a six-year-old what a grown man was doing inside my skirt.

“Hey buddy, I’m right here.” Lan jumped to his feet and waved to a confused Luka.

“Lawndon, where did you come from?” Luka asked before maneuvering himself onto the high breakfast chair just like we taught him.

“I was cleaning up something for Katy.” Lan smirked, wiping his mouth with the back of his palm. “She was in need of my help.”

I blushed a shade of deep red.

Luka nodded innocently. “Ms. Nancy says it’s nice to help someone in need. I helped Link with his art last week, and he thanked me. You should thank Lawndon, Katiew.”

The only thing I was thankful for was that he was young enough not to catch Lan’s underlying innuendo.

“Yes, you should thank me, Katy.” Lan’s smirk deepened as he dropped down on the seat next to Luka.

I rolled my eyes and walked over to them, then laid a hard smack across Lan’s shoulder.

In response, Luka giggled, mumbling that Lan was in super trouble.

Oh yes he was.

Lan pouted, fake crying. “Ouch, please don’t hurt me. Luka, save me.”

“Sorry, Lawndon,” Luka screeched. “I can’t do that to Kaitew. She’s my best friend.”

My heart. I gave my buddy a nod while Lan whined harder in betrayal, which only made Luka giggle harder.

Sometimes my little man was so similar to Lan that it was hard to tell they weren’t related. They both shared the same tousled brown hair and brooding brown eyes. I jokingly accused Lan that Luka was his secret child.

I screwed Lan’s ear, and instead of screaming and wailing, he softly caressed my belly.

“Hey, boys,” he whispered and just those two words and I melted, my fingers instantly left his ear to thread softly through his hair.

Two kicks ensued his caress, and Lan looked up at me

“Are we talking to the babies, Lawndon?” Luka perked up like it was a fun activity.

“Yes, buddy.” Lan lifted him into his arms and then both my boys pressed their lips to my belly.

“Boys,” Lan said. “Dad here.”

“And older brother here,” Luka added with glee.

Their voices made the minions inside my tummy go crazy. I was used to their flutter of activity, but Luka and Lan still weren’t. Their eyes rounded with wonderment as they caressed my stomach to their complete satisfaction.

And Mom’s always here, always.

LAN

I was calmly sipping on my energy drink after a workout while I watched Luka color dinosaurs on his little sketchbook that Lily gave him, when I stilled.

I blinked to see if I was seeing right.

“Woman,” I shouted. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?”

The f-word made Luka look up and announce, “You’re getting in trouble with Katiew.” But it was Katy who was getting in deep, deep trouble.

Dressed in a loose cotton nightie that did nothing to hide her very pregnant belly, Katy was maneuvering a huge-ass ladder.

“Why?” Katy frowned. “What’s wrong?”

“You’re almost seven months pregnant. You shouldn’t be doing things like that.” I was already by her side and taking the ladder away from her.

“Really?” Her nose scrunched. “I started Pilates again, and it’s been doing wonders. I’m strong, Lan.”

“And that’s a heavy-ass ladder that I don’t want to accidentally fall on you and put you and the babies at risk.”

“Oh,” she mumbled, stepping away.

And I dragged the ladder far away from her. “What the hell are you doing with this?”

“Luka wanted more star stickers on his ceiling.”

“And you didn’t care to ask me?”

“Why would I ask you?” She frowned. “I can stick stars.”

I didn’t even bother replying as I took the ladder and grabbed the stickers she held in her hand and headed to Luka’s room while a confused Katy followed me.

Right when I stuck the last blue star on the ceiling, my phone vibrated in my back pocket.

Seeing the caller ID, I hesitated. It was Serena. I hadn’t spoken to her in a while. It wasn’t like I was ignoring her but more like avoiding.

Ever since the news spread that Katy and I were adopting Luka, Serena called me, saying how bad of an idea it was to adopt someone. That Katy could never handle such responsibility.

For the first time in my life, I didn’t like her. I hated the way she said what she said, and in a few choice words, I asked her not to call me again.

Not for the lack of trying on her part.

“Lan, your phone is still ringing,” Katy pointed out.

And I nodded and thumbed the call right despite my better judgment.

“You picked up.” Serena’s shocked tone filtered through the phone.

“What?” I asked flatly.

“I’m in the city. I want to see you.”

“No, I’m busy.”

“Look, Lan,” she prodded gently. “I know you’re still mad about what I said last time. I’ve had some time to really think about it, and I shouldn’t have said what I said. I’m really sorry, okay? I just want to see you and my nephew,” she said.

I paused and took a deep breath.

“Please.”

After a long second, I said, “Fine.”

If only I had known I would soon regret that decision.
