Chapter Four

Nora

My heart aches as the silence fills the bathroom. My arms are wrapped around my chest, hugging myself as uncertainty races through my body. I shouldn’t have said anything, but I couldn’t help myself.

I needed to say something.

Have they never had anyone say awful things to them for wanting to be with two people? Have they not seen how cruel people can be?

I don’t want to bring that on them, even if it's something I really want. I feel the connection I have with both of them. I long to call them Papa and Daddy and let them take care of me.

“Nora,” Elijah gently says, resting his hand on my shoulder.

My shoulders hunch forward as I sob. Those gentle touches from him so I know he is there for me is touching. Or that’s what I think his motive is.

“Baby.” Brix’s voice is closer than before. “We’re sorry if we upset you by calling you ours. We didn’t mean to, but in our eyes, you are ours.”

“We can’t…” My voice sounds so broken.

“Why can’t we?” Elijah asks.

I shake my head, burying my face in my knees, and suck in a much-needed breath.

“Come on, little bit. You can tell us,” Elijah encourages, rubbing my back.

I don’t move from my spot, though. What are they going to say when I tell them? It’s not something to play around with, but I don’t want to burst their bubble.

“Nora.” Brix's voice holds a warning. “You are not going to hide from us. Now, tell us why?”

But I don’t make a sound.

“Nora.”

Moving my head, I glare at him. “You can’t make me tell you,” I spit out, frustration filling my body.

“Yes, we can.” He grips my chin with his fingers.

“While you’re here, you are under our care.

We are responsible for you. You knew that when you came here, if you were an unaccompanied sub you would get placed with a Dom.

You knew from reading the contract that you are subject to our rules, our punishments. ”

Clenching my jaw, I keep my mouth shut. What he said is right. I knew after reading the contract that I would have to obey their rules. If I broke them, then I would get punished. I signed on the dotted line, confirming I was okay with it.

But I didn’t expect to be placed with two Daddies.

What am I going to do now? I remember hearing them say something about Elijah taking me on when they normally don’t. What could that have been about?

“So, tell me why.” Brix tightens his fingers on my chin.

“Or what?” I retort.

“Or you’ll be over my lap and getting a spanking.” Brix doesn’t even blink.

“You can’t do that! I’m hurt!” I yell.

“Your feet are hurt,” he says before turning to Elijah. “We’re going to have to rebandage her feet after the bath. Aiden didn’t say anything about putting an ointment on them, but I don’t think it would hurt.”

“I’m right here!” I pull my chin out of his grip. “You can’t punish me because I’m hurt.”

“Spanking your bottom won’t hurt your feet, but if you want me to call Aiden right now and ask if we can spank you, then I will.” Brix looks back at me.

I open and close my mouth several times.

“Well, do you want Brix to call Aiden, or maybe I should?” Elijah brings my attention to him.

“No!” I yell. “Don’t you dare call him.”

“Wouldn’t be the first time he’s gotten asked a question about spanking, and it definitely won’t be his last. He’s a Daddy, too,” Elijah points out.

“You don’t need to,” I whisper.

I know they can spank me because my bottom isn’t hurt, but it doesn’t mean I want it.

“So, are you going to tell us, or am I going to pull you out of the tub and spank your bottom here?” Brix asks. “And I won’t dry your bottom first.”

Gasping, I look at him with wide eyes, waiting to see if he’ll back down, but he doesn’t. He raises an eyebrow, and I close my eyes for a couple of seconds.

“Tell us why we can’t be together,” Elijah says quietly.

“It’s wrong,” I murmur, looking away.

Silence fills the bathroom, and I don’t dare look back at them. How can I? They might be angry, or they might want to shame me right here and now. What if they are trying to see if I give in only to treat me like Mateo and Lainey did?

“And why is it wrong?” Brix gently asks.

“Don’t.” I clench my jaw. “You know why.”

“I don’t, so I want you to explain it for me,” he replies, his hand touching my shoulder.

“This is all wrong,” I breathe. “You’re going to humiliate me when I tell you. You’re going to tell me to walk home in the freezing cold and the dark. I don’t want to talk about it, so can we please stop talking about this?”

I gasp for a breath of air, my hand gently wrapping around my throat.

“Please,” I wheeze.

Without warning, I’m lifted out of the bath and held against something hard and warm, completely naked and getting Elijah wet.

“Shhh, you’re okay,” he whispers in my ear. “Everything is going to be okay.”

His arms tighten around me, holding me close to him as I suck in breaths of air.

“We’ve got you,” Brix mumbles against my head. “Let’s get you all dried off, feet rewrapped, and some food in your tummy.”

I lean my head against Elijah’s chest as Brix starts to dry my accessible parts. I don’t move a muscle as they maneuver my body, getting it all dry, taking care of my feet, and then putting me into some clothes… not my clothes.

“Who—”

“No one has ever worn these. We bought them for our Little girl, and you get to wear them right now. It’s soft and cuddly, isn’t it?” Brix zips up her front.

I’m in a soft lavender onesie with feet and hand coverings. I look at Brix with wide eyes as I look down at myself. I won’t be able to grab anything or do anything.

“Wha-what about my hands?” My eyebrows pinch together, trying to figure out how I’m going to do things around the house.

“What about them?” Elijah asks.

“I can’t use them!”

Brix takes my hands in his, giving them a little squeeze. “You’re okay. Take a deep breath in for me. Such a good girl. We’ll be doing everything for you. Or one of us will be. I have to go to my shift in an hour.”

“But… but,” I sputter out.

“But nothing. We’re going to be doing things for you while you’re here. Just let go and relax,” Elijah gently says. “We have your best interests at heart.”

How do I know that for sure? I don’t know them at all. Isn’t there supposed to be some time to get to know them before things go further?

“I can see those wheels turning in your head. Everything is going to be fine. You have a safeword, red. If you need to use it, we’ll stop right away.

” Brix kisses my forehead. “And don’t think you got away with not fully answering me earlier.

We are going to have this conversation when both Elijah and I are off and can be with you afterward. ”

My shoulders sag as Elijah continues to hold me in the air.

“Aren’t you getting tired?” I ask, pushing my head back.

“Nope.” He pops the p.

“Let’s get her to the couch, I’ll sit with her while you get her some food. Then I’ll head out,” Brix says.

Elijah carries me out of the bathroom, through the room with the crib, and into the living room. I don’t dare look around the room I slept in, not wanting to see what was in there. I couldn’t do anything so why would I torture myself with looking at what I could play with?

“I’ve got you,” Elijah murmurs in my ear. “Be a good girl and stay on the couch with Brix while I sort you out something to eat.”

As he leaves me on the couch, Brix sits next to me. We stare at each other for several seconds before I look away. His stare is intense, very intense.

“Are those people, the ones who told you what you want is wrong, living in the town we picked you up from?” Brix gently asks.

I look back at him but don’t nod or shake my head. He said he wanted to talk about it later when he or Elijah don’t have to leave, yet he’s brought it up again.

Brix sighs. “Sorry, we won’t talk about it now. I just want you to know that we will never shame you.” He takes my hand in his. “You are precious to us.”

“You guys don’t even know me.” I flick my gaze away from him.

“Look at me,” he commands, and I obey. “I don’t have to know you for you to know that I will never shame you.

We will never make you feel bad for anything you want.

You can tell us anything and everything.

We aren’t going to judge you. We want you to come to us for everything, no matter how small or big. ”

“Even if I have a hangnail and it hurts?” I mumble.

He cracks a smile. “Especially if you have a hangnail and it hurts. We’ll take care of you.”

“Or have smelly breath?” I cock my head to the side.

“Even if you have smelly breath.” He chuckles a little. “Or if you have to go potty but can’t and need one of us to sing the pee song,” he adds. “No matter how big or small, we want you to come to us so we can help you.”

He gives my hands a gentle squeeze before standing up and letting Elijah sit in front of me.

“I’ve got to go to work now, but I’ll be back at the end of the day.” Brix kisses my forehead and holds my head in his hands. “You be good for Daddy.” He clears his throat. “I mean Elijah.”

Brix grabs the bag next to the door and leaves. I stare, waiting for him to come back in and tell me he doesn’t really have to go out, but he doesn’t.

He’s just… gone.

“He’ll be back, I promise.” Elijah gains my attention with his soothing words. “Now, let me feed you some eggs and fruit.”

I eye the plate, looking at the apples, bananas, and eggs that cover the plate. “Should have chocolate on there,” I mumble.

“What was that?” Elijah asks, forking some eggs and feeding the bite to me.

“It’s a grave mistake not to have chocolate on the plate when there are apples and bananas on there,” I point out. “Everyone knows that you can’t have bananas or apples without chocolate.”

“Is that so?” Elijah asks, feeding me another piece of egg.

I nod, swallowing. “Yes! I think we should go get chocolate so I can eat it with them. Or, well, you should since you’re allowed to walk.”

Elijah taps my nose and shakes his head. “Not happening. It might taste better with chocolate, but that doesn't mean you get any. It’s not healthy for you to have all the time.”

My bottom lip sticks out as I stare at him. “Oh, come on.”

“Nope. You won’t change my mind. Now, let’s feed you the bananas and apples, and then we can color,” he says. “And no pouting. It won’t work on either of us.”

I grumble under my breath as Elijah feeds me the rest of the plate. Today is not going to be fun.
