“Promise.”
* * *
According to Antonio, my friends and I were all having dinner at the house.
His entire family had gone back home to Italy. His parents, on the other hand, simply went back to their house not too far from here until after the wedding.
On our way back to the house, Silvia texted that Jordan had left the country for a little while. He didn’t say where to, and he also didn’t mention when he’d be back. I really hoped he was doing okay.
We got back to the house, and a cold chill ran down my spine as I shifted in my seat.
Antonio noticed and took my hand in his, kissing the back of it. “You ready?” he asked, and I swallowed hard.
I nodded, and he got out. He opened the door for me, and I took a deep breath in before getting out. He wrapped his arm around my waist as we walked up to the front door.
When I opened the door, there were a lot of murmurs coming from inside.
“You’re back!” Amelia squealed as Antonio and I stepped into the foyer. She charged towards me and jumped into my arms. I immediately grabbed onto her—laughing. She dropped to her feet, and Silvia engulfed me in her arms. Before Silvia got the chance to pull away, Stephanie and London wrapped their arms around us as well.
“I missed you guys too,” I softly said, barely able to breathe. The girls finally pulled away, and I took a deep breath in, holding the biggest smile.
I paused, looking at their outfits. I cleared my throat, looking at Antonio. “Now,this is a hooker house,” I said, and Antonio smiled in remembrance. “What’s going on?” I hesitantly asked, and Silvia pulled something out from her bag.
“Bachelorette fucking party!” she cheered, throwing a ‘Bride To Be’ sash over me. A loud pop was heard and confetti sprung over my head.
“Dinner with friends, huh?” I asked Antonio. “And no,” I shook my head at them.
“Yes. We’re going to throw you the best, sexiest, most horny bachelorette party ever,” London seductively said and the doorbell rang.
“There are our strippers!” Stephanie beamed, rushing over to open the door front door. Our what!?
Four girls in skimpy little dresses stood outside, staring back at us.
“No. That isourstrippers,” Cesar said, walking into the living room with Ivan and Lorenzo—Antonio’s alleged best friend, according to him.
“Excuse me?” Amelia and I said in unison as our heads snapped to him.
“This way ladies,” Cesar grinned while signaling them with his fingers and they giggled, walking inside.
“Are you not marrying a stripper?” I asked Antonio and he tried hiding a smile. “You’re not having strippers,” I shook my head. “Cesar get them out,” I said and the girls all nodded, agreeing with me.
“No, no no,” Ivan chimed in. “You can’t have a bachelor party without strippers, come on,” he dragged out his vowels. “You’ll have him for the rest of your life. Let him have some fun before you tie him down.”
My jaw dropped and all of our heads snapped to him in disbelief—including Cesar and Antonio’s.
“Tie him down?” Amelia growled, squeezing the bag in her hands. “Did I ‘tie you down’?” she seethed and he swallowed hard.
She marched over to him and grabbed his arm, pulling him into the kitchen.
“I don’t like the idea of you having strippers when I am one,” I crossed my arms over my chest. “Not to mention it’s inappropriate.”
He sighed. “Nirah—”
“Excuse me, ladies,” a rough male voice interrupted him. “We are here on a noise complaint.”
I spun around and my jaw dropped as I saw three muscular men in police officer uniforms. The one in the center met my gaze and he grinned, winking at me. Talk about tall, dark and handsome—my God.Was it getting hot in here or was it just them?
“My apologies officer,” I smiled, tucking my hair behind my ear. “That would be me,” I innocently batted my eyelashes but as I took a step Antonio grabbed my arm, stopping me immediately.
