“Well, now I have stage fright.”
I laughed so hard I snorted.
“Is that Kyo laughing at me?” Gray asked. “Oh! Kyo, guess what? The other day when I went to work with Simon, I sold something to an old lady! It wasn’t my penis, don’t worry. I’m keeping that. But it was that spyglass from the pirate ship.”
“Naval collection,” Simon muttered in the background. “Come inside, it’s raining. I’ll make us some hot cocoa.”
Sirena looked confused. “Did he just say… his penis?”
“Hot cocoa?” Raiden added. “I want some.”
“Gotta go, guys!” Gray said. “Simon and I are gonna have a boys’ night and attack Galen to cheer him up. He’s all grumpy ’cause Al said he can’t leave the mansion. Have fun in paradise without me.”
Castor placed his phone down on the cushion and looked at Baxter, then at Sirena. “So, that was Gray. He’s the avatar of Sloth.”
“He seemed awfully energetic for being Sloth,” Naida pointed out.
“Eh.” Bellamy shrugged. “I’m sure he’ll be curled up somewhere taking a nap in a few minutes.”
Sirena still looked puzzled, so I explained the glass penis statue Simon had received in a shipment of inventory and how Gray had latched onto it. By the end of my story, every person in the room was laughing. Even Naida.
The cottage had three spare bedrooms, and Castor and I were given one of them. Alastair, Raiden, and Bellamy were going to share one, and Baxter and Titan took the third. Naida, Elon, and Kian went with Lysandra to stay at her place down the hill.
“You don’t have to babysit me,” Bellamy complained to Alastair as we walked upstairs later that night, carrying our luggage. “I can sleep on my own.”
“Where you can wander off and try to bang one of the female warriors?” Alastair slapped his shoulder. “I’m no fool. You’re sleeping right by me. Be glad I’m not handcuffing you to the bed.”
“I like handcuffs,” he said with a wink.
Alastair sighed and pushed him into the bedroom at the top of the stairs. Raiden waved to us before following behind them. There looked to be a large bed and a couch inside the room, so each of them would have a place to sleep at least.
“I’m surprised Ray’s not bunking with Titan,” Castor said as we reached our room and closed the door. “Then again, he’s always been kinda shy when it comes to pursuing guys.”
“Really?” I set my bag on the chaise lounge in the corner before rifling through it for a clean change of clothes. I felt gross after traveling all day and then walking through the forest in the warm, humid air. I needed a shower. “I’ve seen him hook up in the club sometimes.”
“Yeah, he can be a flirt, but if he really likes someone, he gets kinda shy. It’s cute.” Castor wrapped his arms around me from behind and nuzzled my nape. “God. I’ve wanted to do this all evening. Your skin smells so good.”
“Cannibal.”
“I’ll show you cannibal.” Castor gently bit the back of my neck, and I shuddered. “You don’t know how bad I want to bite you for real. My teeth are fucking aching.”
Jesus. What would it be like to be bitten by him?
Feeling the bulge pressing to my ass, I reached back and placed my hand on it. “Something else seems to be aching too.”
“You wanna help it feel better?” he purred in my ear.
Chills danced along my flesh, and I cupped the back of his head, my face turned to his. “I need a shower first.”
He grazed his teeth along my jaw. “But I like you dirty.”
“You’re so bad.”
He changed then, holding me differently. Tighter.
“Kyo.” My name was a whisper on his lips as his arms surrounded me, his face burrowing into the back of my hair. The moment was so damn tender. “I don’t ever want to let you go. Not now. Not in December.”
“Hey.” I turned to face him. “Don’t think about that right now. We still have time.”
