Me:I’ll be there.
Two hours later, I walked into the nightclub, letting the energy in the air liven my spirits. Music pumped through the speakers, drinks were passed around, and bodies swayed to the beat. I spotted Castor instantly. His red hair stood out as he leaned against the bar and threw back a shot.
A burly werewolf approached him, his flirtatious behavior noticeable even from my distance across the room.
Castor paid him very little attention. He nodded at something the wolf said as his gaze moved through the club. And then that gaze landed on me. A smile curved his lips as he pushed from the bar and came toward me.
I wasted no time before tugging him to me and planting a kiss on his lips. Fuck, he tasted so good. Like warm honey.
“This will be the last night you see me for a while, little dragon,” Castor said, gripping my waist. “Better make it count.”
That’s exactly what I planned to do.
Chapter Seven
Castor
“Do you think you’ve packed enough shit?” Bellamy asked from the doorway.
I zipped my suitcase and turned to him. “What’s it matter to you? Fuck knows how long we’ll be gone. Better to be prepared.”
“You have an entire bag of weapons.”
“There are a lot of demons. I gotta protect myself.” I patted the second, much smaller suitcase. “This one has clothes.”
Bellamy nodded to my bed. “And the third?”
“The third?” I followed his gaze and stared, confused, at the bag I didn’t remember placing there. I approached it, my confusion growing when I saw the material slightly move. I unzipped it and sighed at the sight of wild blond hair.
Gray poked his head out. “You weren’t supposed to find me until we were on the plane.”
“Alastair said you have to stay here,” I gently reminded him.
He pouted. “But I want to go.”
I helped him out of the bag, impressed that he’d managed to shove himself inside it to begin with. Perks of being small, I supposed. “It’s all business. You wouldn’t have fun anyway.”
He sat crisscross on the bed. “Will you bring me back a present?”
“Of course,” I said, ruffling his hair.
I grabbed my two suitcases and carried them downstairs, placing them beside Bellamy’s luggage at the front door. The bastard had hounded me for my measly two bags when he had four. One looked like nothing but hair products, exfoliants, and creams. He smirked at me before carrying his outside and loading them into the car.
It was a twelve-hour flight to Greece, so we had woken early that morning to leave. There was a ten-hour time difference too, so by the time we got there, it would be early afternoon in Athens.
Raiden came barreling down the stairs, one bag tucked under his arm and a chocolate bar sticking out of his mouth. He’d packed light, unlike the rest of us. Food was his main priority anyway. He dashed out the door and threw his bag into the trunk of the car waiting out front.
I fished my phone from my pocket and opened my chat with Kyo.
Last night at the club had been amazing, rough sex in my private room followed by us lying in each other’s arms. He hadn’t tried to leave right after either. I had fallen asleep with him tucked against my chest and woken around 4:00 a.m. when Konnar knocked on the door to check on us. We’d gotten dressed and gone our separate ways, but not before sharing one last kiss.
Would it be weird to tell him good morning? Friends did that, right?
Fuck it.
Me:Morning, handsome.
His response came moments later.
