“No,” Naida answered with no hesitation. “She is too proud to ever follow a male, and the son of Lucifer at that. Her father was one of the original two hundred fallen, and he abandoned her mother to fight in Lucifer’s war. Sirena grew up to despise her father. Thus, she holds no love for Lucifer or any of his relations.”
“Very well.” Alastair focused on Baxter. “We should let her know we’re coming, then.”
“A wise choice,” Naida responded. “You would be dead before your feet even touched down on the soil otherwise.”
Alastair glanced between us. “Pack your things. We need to leave as soon as possible.”
“I take it you want me to accompany you?” Baxter asked.
“Yes,” Alastair told him.
“Very well. I’ll make the arrangements.”
“Caribbean, here we come,” Raiden said, doing a little dance that involved moving his shoulders up and down.
Titan laughed and looked away from him. If I wasn’t mistaken, his cheeks darkened a little too.
“Off to another adventure,” Kyo said as we left the kitchen and walked up the stairs. “Wonder what we’ll find next.”
“Treasure would be nice.”
He snorted.
When we reached the door to our room, I grabbed his arm and turned him to face me. Questions filled his orange eyes. Softly, I kissed him. He tasted like coffee and nectarines as our tongues slid together, unrushed and gentle.
Perfect.

Flying from Greece to the Virgin Islands took around thirteen hours. But, unlike the flight to Greece where Kyo and I had fucked like rabbits and snoozed in each other’s arms on the jet, this flight wasn’t nearly as awesome.
For one, it was kind of cramped.
The plane held up to twelve passengers. Alastair and Baxter sat in the cockpit while the rest of us lounged in the passenger area. Naida, Titan, the archer Elon, and one other warrior named Kian had come with us. Bellamy sat by Elon and flirted up a storm as the jet rose into the air and leveled out. They disappeared in the back room not long after.
Fuckers stole my idea. I had wanted to take Kyo back there.
Oh well.
I fell asleep halfway through the trip and woke up to find my head on Kyo’s shoulder. His cheek rested on my hair as he played a game on his phone. I watched him set up a little kingdom and build an army. It looked like some kind of medieval war strategy game with kings, knights, and foot soldiers.
“Are you winning?” I asked with a yawn.
Kyo peered over at me and smiled. “Hey, sleepyhead.”
Why did the nickname tug at my heart so much?
“Hey, right back.” I nodded to his phone. “Looks like your kingdom’s being attacked.”
“Shit.” He clicked the screen to fire at the oncoming soldiers.
I fell back asleep on his shoulder.
The Cyril E. King Airport was located on the southwestern side of St. Thomas. We arrived that evening, dropped the jet off in the private hangar, and then took two SUVs to the nearest hotel. Mainly for show. We didn’t plan on staying there. Sirena was expecting us that night, and we’d stay on the island.
“Can we eat dinner before we go?” Raiden asked. “I’ve lived off chips, beef jerky, and honey roasted peanuts for the past thirteen hours. I might die.”
“No time for that.” Alastair grabbed his bag from the trunk of the SUV. “We need to reach the island as soon as possible.”
