***Casey***

I now pronounce you man and wife.

The words are on a continuous loop in my mind. I can’t

believe it. We’re married. We’re actually married. I look over the

massive crowd, noting that everyone is enjoying themselves. From where we’re

sitting, we have a perfect view of the entire ballroom. I spot Sandy dancing

with Michael. I’ve asked her to move out here and help me run the bar. I’m

re-decorating it now and have already given it a new name—The Blue Moon. She

hasn’t decided yet, but she seems pretty close to saying “yes.” She would

already have a job, and a house—mine. Ethan even offered to get her a job with

one of his bigwig friends if she doesn’t want to work with me. He’s so sweet, knowing

how much it means to me to have her close. He won’t let me tell her about being

a wolf, though. I hope he changes his mind soon because I hate keeping it from

her.

I do a visual sweep of the room. This place brings back

memories. It’s only fitting that Zeus has his wedding reception at Mount

Olympus. I throw a glance to “our” corner and know my cheeks are flaming red as

I remember Ethan finger-fucking me under the table at the fundraiser. I shift

in my chair as arousal spreads through my body. It’s bad enough that Ethan’s

been grumbling about leaving for the last five minutes.

“Me, too,” I tell him.

“Huh?”

“I said me, too.”

“What are you talking about?”

“You said you can’t wait to get out of here… and I said me,

too.”

“Casey, I didn’t say anything.”

“I’m not deaf—”

“No. I didn’t say it… but I thought it.”

“What do you mean?”

He cocks his head to the side and regards me carefully.

Are you reading my mind, minx?

Oh, my God! I heard that! He didn’t speak, but I heard

him!

And I just heard that. Holy shit!

Fuck. I can’t believe we can read each other’s minds. Is he

doing it now?

“Yes, I am.”

“Well, stop!”

“I don’t know how!”

Ethan….

It’s okay. We just have to take this one day at a time.

We’ll learn together.

Okay.

What can I do? It’s not like I can stop thinking. Can you

do it with anyone else?

No… just you. Who knows? Maybe that will come later.

“Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for the first dance. Join

me in welcoming Mr. and Mrs. Ethan McKenzie!”

The voice of the Master of Ceremony brings my focus back. It’s

my wedding day, and I won’t let anything ruin it, goddamn it!

“That’s my girl.”

Ethan takes my hand and leads me to the center of the dance

floor as “our song” begins to play. I step into his arms, gazing into his

magnificent chocolate eyes. This is exactly where I should be… where I’m meant

to be; I know it, because he’s thinking the same thing. He leans in, placing a

gentle kiss on my lips.

I love you, Ethan.

I love you, Mrs. McKenzie.
