Chapter Nineteen

Nora watched me from bed as I emerged from the shower. Her red-ringed eyes offered a stark contrast from her soft, pale skin. Glassy eyes flickered to mine until I dropped my towel beside the chest-of-drawers. Neither of us said anything for the time being while I plucked the silicon retainers from their packaging. Her eyes never left me as I changed out my nipple piercings, the second one sticking like usual does. Frustration rolled up my shoulders, and I lowered my hands when I felt the anger tangle with it.

"Come here," said Nora, drawing my attention back to her as she sat at the edge of the bed. Naked and beautiful as she was every morning, and I couldn't take my eyes off her. "Let me do it."

I toted the rest of the replacements over to her and she plucked them from my palm. She sniffled while working on the stuck ball of the barbell, and it released after a few firm twists.

"You need to replace this one. Why do you keep it?"

"It's comfortable," I said, brushing her hair from her shoulders. "You okay?"

She nodded, though tears streamed her cheeks. No sound escaped her as she checked both of my nipples, then set the metal piercings on the nightstand.

"Thanks," I said, fingering the remaining hoop in my hand. I stepped back to look down at myself and she wiggled her fingers at me.

"I'll do it," she said, her tone firm. "Give it."

I didn't argue and handed her the final retainer. I stroked her hair while she fondled my favorite place, sucking in my breath with slowed control when her fingers hit me just right. Her gaze flicked up to me when she removed the hoop, then brushed her thumb against me in affectionate strokes. My stomach flip-flopped and she smiled up at me despite her tears. I smiled at her, letting her do whatever the fuck she wanted to me. My fractured heart lay in a heap in my chest anyway as we prepared for the day we both dreaded.

She leaned down, flicking her tongue over me a few times in a way that made my teeth chatter before she carefully threaded the retainer through. She secured it, then looked up at me while flicking my clit. My entire body lurched, and I came against her mouth in a hot second. I grabbed her hair, holding her to me while my hips jerked once against her. I rode the sharp wave of pleasure, until it left me in a comfortable, rocking wake. Her eyes never left me when she leaned back, brushing her thumb over me again and tapping the retainer with her thumb.

"You come so fast," she said, her voice soft. "When I do that."

"Yeah, baby. I do." I let out a slow breath when my body relaxed, and I ached to curl up with her.

She kissed my stomach, then hugged me around the middle while looking up at me. "You can take my kisses to work with you."

"I'm honored to do that." I tucked her hair behind her ears and gazed down at her beautiful face. I wanted to say so many things to her but risking upsetting her further wasn't worth it. "Are you going to be okay here today with Sali and Maggie?"

She nodded, though not an ounce of confidence accompanied it. "Anita will come by later she said. And Maya and I have our video chat."

"Good. Will you go with Anita if you feel that you need to?"

"I will," she said, stroking my back then down over my ass a few times. "Lean green bean."

I chuckled and kissed her forehead. "Beautiful naughty Kitten."

Nora stood, catching me in a fierce hug. I held her to me as the heaviness settled around us over our impending separation.

"You'll be okay, baby. I love you."

"I love you, too," she whispered, sniffling when she leaned back to look at me. "Do you want breakfast?"

I shook my head, though her question brought a smile back to me. "Are you going to be my sweet housewife now?"

"Do I get a sexy outfit?" She grinned despite her tears.

"Yup." I grabbed handfuls of her rear. "Sexy maid, no panties."

"Mmm." She gnawed her bottom lip while toying with my hair. "Promise to bend me over the table when you get home?"

"You know it." I chuckled and kissed her gently. "How's your belly burn?"

"You always take care of it. Every day." Her hands gathered between my breasts and she let out a soft sigh.

"I want your day to be comfortable every day." I kissed her again and she nodded after, her eyes focused on my neck. "What can I do to help make today better?"

"Nothing," she said, her voice soft. "Just…come home."
