Nora laughed, her eyes wide. "I'm not asking her anything."

I chuckled and hugged her while glaring at Sam. "Call Marley before I kill you."

"Already did. She's on shift until four so I'll just have to wait." She sighed dramatically. "You two going to play with us?"

I met Nora's gaze, and despite her playful demeanor, her shimmering eyes didn't seem so sure.

"Maybe. We'll talk about it while you're in the shower because that's where you're headed next. Am I right?" I smirked at Sam.

"Damn right. I need to shave." She laughed and finished off her toast with a bit of scrambled egg on it. "I'll get myself settled," she said, wiggling her fingers at us before hopping up to grab her bag.

She headed off down the hall and into the guestroom. I watched Nora nibbling her pancake while chuckling. She swatted my arm and huffed.

"What?" I grinned and bounced my legs to make her jump.

"She's too much," she said, bumping her head with mine.

"Uh huh. And you like it." I smooched her cheek and she smiled. "It's okay to like it, honey."

"She's intimidating a little. You're not like that," she said, stroking my arm while leaning against me.

"Nope. Our styles are different. Sam is more of a strike first person. I'm more of a sneak attack." I poked her side and she squirmed. "I slither my way in, use my wiles to get you all submissive on your back, then have my way with you. Sam is more direct."

She nodded her agreement, then wiped her fingers on a napkin when she finished her breakfast. "Yes. That's accurate."

"So, let's talk a little bit about Sam's arrival and Marley."

"Okay," she said, dropping her hands to my shoulders. "Are you upset?"

"No, honey. I feel like me forgetting they were coming over might've blindsided you. I want to know if you're okay with it. Sam can stay here with Marley alone. They usually do. We can go back to Sali's if you're uncomfortable."

"I'm okay with it, Car. I really am. I'm with you." A sweet smile curved her pink lips. "You keep me safe…"

"I do." I ran my fingers over her cheek. "And you can tell Sam to stop bugging you or voice your discomfort at any time. She'll respect that and I will make sure she does. She does it on purpose to rile people."

"I can tell. She's pretty amusing though, I have to admit."

"She can be."

"What will happen when Marley gets here?" she asked.

"They'll go scene in the playroom. Sam will, of course, ask if we want to join them, but that's completely up to you, Nor. If you don't want to, we can hang out in our room or out here. If you want to join them and watch, that's okay. If you want to participate, that's okay, too. It has to be what you're comfortable with first, then what we're comfortable with together."

"Consent," she said, thoughtfully. "Right?"

"Always consent." I turned to kiss her forearm. "Always."

"It doesn't make me uncomfortable that they'll be running a scene here," she said, toying with my hair while we spoke. "I'm not opposed to watching either. It's like live-action porn."

I laughed at that and nodded. "It is."

"I've had sex while other people were in the room, Car. Not infrequently in the past." She laughed a little, shaking her head. "Or with more than one person at a time…"

"Oh, I believe it, babe." I grinned up at her and pinched her chin between my knuckles gently. "I believe you. You're not a prude."

"Nope." She beamed at that, her smile broadening. "Neither are you."

"Not at all. You and me…" I held her hand to my chest. "We're solid. You're my girl full-time. I'll follow your lead with anything else, because as long as we're together, I don't question anything. Does that sound odd?"
