Story: Snow Hunted
I caught him looking at me and felt a flurry in my stomach and a flush sweep across my face.
He must have caught himself. “Let’s go downstairs and join the others.” He said, tapping the doorframe.
We got downstairs and everyone was in a flurry of excitement. Calix looked at me and smiled. “You have already brought so much excitement to this house! Bosom berry time and no chore time!” He laughed.
“Have you already had some of your special ale?” Barrett wondered.
“Perhaps! Tomorrow is the first time in a long time that we don’t have to get up early to do chores. I’m getting smashed!”
I followed them outside as Enzo ran up, wrapping his arm around my neck. “This is going to be so awesome!”
I smiled, looking at him. “What are Bosom Berries?”
He stopped walking and jumped to stand in front of me. “Are you kidding me?” He grabbed both my shoulders. “No. Of course you aren’t kidding. You had a horrible childhood. They are the best thing you will ever put in your mouth.” He tapped the end of my nose and put his arm around my neck, guiding me out.
Calix already had a fire going while Dresden was walking outside holding long wooden sticks. “I’ve had these for a while and now we get to try them out!”
Enzo dropped his arm and ran over to Dresden, and I immediately missed our connection. I had never had someone pay as much attention to me as he did, and it felt amazing.
“Let’s see what we have here.” Enzo said, grabbing a stick and sliding it through his hands. “Smooth, long. Just like my cock.” He laughed.
“Enzo. There’s a lady here now. No more dick jokes.” Jace reprimanded.
“It’s ok. The dick jokes are funny.” I had only ever seen one, and that was Gage’s. I toyed with the idea of making my own joke, but thought it probably wasn’t the best idea.
At least not yet.
“Even the way you say dick is so cute.” Enzo said swiping my nose.
“Enough. We didn’t keep her around to be your toy, Enzo.” Jace reminded.
We all grabbed a seat, and I followed what they were doing. Calix had brought out a bowl of berries, some sort of chopped up cake, and a tray of white fluffy stuff. He held out his stick and slid on a berry, then a piece of cake, another berry, and another piece of cake, then held it over the fire, slowing twirling the stick. After a few minutes, he took it off and slowly rolled the berries and cake into the white fluffy stuff and then carefully plucked each piece off into his mouth, moaning.
“How is it?” Enzo asked excitedly.
“Better than sex.”
“I doubt that.” Enzo chuckled. “Maybe you need a night with Cana.”
I ignored the slight sting I felt when Enzo was talking about being with another woman. It’s not like we had anything, but perhaps somewhere inside I wanted it.
I slipped the berries and cake on just like Calix had done and twirled it over the flame. After the fluff, I took a seat back in my chair and plucked the berries and cake off. I put the first bite in my mouth and moaned, garnering the attention from everyone. “Sorry… This is really good.” I laughed.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and looked up to find Gage standing there.
“You’re in my seat.” He said in a flat tone.
“I…” I looked around and then stood up. “Sorry.”
I don’t know why I was apologizing, but every time I saw him, my mind went back to the shower.
There were no seats left, so I stood there awkwardly, then decided to sit on the ground.
“That was rude, Gage.”
“Shut up Enzo. I don’t see you offering her your chair.”
“I’m fine here. Thank you.” I looked at Gage. “Do you need a stick?”
