Story: Shattered
“You’re right. She’s a fighter. Good. It will be more fun to break her,” the voice of the other person says.
Scorpion chuckles darkly. “That’s what I was thinking.” He uses his body to push me against the mattress as he wrangles my arms behind me. The cuff goes back on my wrist, and I have no way to fight back.
“Let’s go, kitten.” He yanks me up by my hair, and I turn to see the man behind us. I fuckingfreeze.
Those eyes. I know those eyes. Black, scary. Where do I know those eyes from? The pain and fear coursing through me right now is keeping me from placing where he’s from.
Suddenly, Damien grabs hold of my arm, yanking me out of Scorpion’s hands. With a grip on my arm and one in my hair, I’m being dragged out of the cell and down a dimly lit hallway. I groan with each step, my body hurting and sore. My pants are still torn from the asshole we left in my cell, and my feet are bare and cold.
A large metal door opens, and I am pushed into a dark and dirty room. The walls are dingy and covered in the fuck knows what. My eyes focus a bit more on the little light available, and I see chains coming from the walls.
It’s like a fucking dungeon. Where the fuck am I?
“Welcome, Rory. You really are a stubborn one. We were sure you would come running back here without your mother within a week. But you actually lasted months out there. I’m impressed,” the guy with black eyes says.
His voice is deep, his body covered in tattoos. He is a giant man.
And then it hits me. My eyes widen at the realization of who this is.
“Oh, did you just figure out who I was? You have been very busy fucking my son, Dekker, and his friends. Name is Ledger West. But you can call me Sir.”
“You can go fuck yourself,” I sneer.
“Wow. You’ve got some spunk. I like it. Too bad you won’t have it for long. I’ve got the cure for cunts like you. Hey, David,” Ledger calls out.
I watch as my father comes out from around a corner. The smile stretches across his face as his eyes bore into me. This man isn’t the man I loved.
“Rory, so good to see you again. We didn’t get much time to talk back in your room.” My eyes and my brain are on different wavelengths. I see that it’s my dad, but I can’t process that it’s him.
“What the hell is going on? What do you want from me?” I scream.
“Well, first, I think we need to clear the air about things.” Ledger answers.
“Clear what air? You kidnapped me! This air is muggy and thick with bullshit!” I struggle against Damien’s hold, and I feel his fingers dig into my skin. I let out a scream as his hold stops me from moving further.
A laughter bubbles up from my da— David. I shoot him a furious look, but he just keeps laughing at my pain. I narrow my eyes at him, and he blows me a kiss.
“Might want to look over there, Rory.” He points to a door on the other side. It slowly opens, and my world falls apart.
“Mom!”
Chapter Thirty-Three
AURORA
“Mom!”I scream and try to pull away from the devil holding me.
“Rory! Sweetheart!” My mom’s eyes go wide when she sees me. “No! Leave her alone! She has nothing to do with this!” She turns her head, and that’s when I see him standing next to her, holding her arms.
“Aaron!” I yell. “What is going on? What are you doing? Let go of my mother! Help us!” That’s when I see the glint of something in his hand. The little light that there is bounces off of the metal of a gun that he is holding against the side of my mother.
I let out a gasp as the situation in front of me unfolds.
“Let me introduce you to your mother, Lisa.” David turns to me. “Bet ya didn’t know that.”
I gape at him. “Lisa? What? No, that’s my mom. Her name is June.” I struggle against Damien’s hold. “Mom, what is he talking about? Who is Lisa?”
“Wow. You kept Rory completely in the dark. Such a bad mom. Tsk tsk.” David stands between me and my mom, smirking.
