Story: Shattered
Seven whistles, impressed. “Wow.”
I nod. “So when they found out they were pregnant with me, my mother and father instantly knew they wanted to name me after the Northern Lights. So, Aurora it was.”
“That’s so much better than my story.” He laughs.
The rest of the walk is pretty silent. When we get to the dorm, he stops and grins at me.
“Well, I can sleep knowing I got you home safe.”
“Yeah, well, if yourpossewasn’t being such assholes, I would still be at the bar with my friends.”
He sighs. “Yeah, that may be true. But I’m kinda glad it worked out this way.” He leans in and kisses my cheek. Instantly, my skin feels like it’s on fire. “Goodnight, Aurora.”
Before I can respond, he jogs off back toward the way we came from. My hand reaches up and touches the spot his lips were and holy fuck.
I should not have liked that.
Damn that sexy-as-fuck ginger. Well, this night turned out to be insanely strange.
What’s that saying? Everything’s crazier in Texas? Even with the sobering walk, I still feel like the effects of the shot are messing with me.
Sleep. I need sleep. And then maybe tomorrow everything will right itself.
And maybe Seven will forget all about walking me home.
Even though I probably never will.
Chapter Six
SEVEN
Fuck me.I’m definitely in trouble.
My intentions were to just follow her home. Not even tell her I was there. But then my dumbass had to go get her attention. Talk to her.
I run my hand over my face.
Fuck me.
When I get back to the bar, I head back up to the second floor where everyone is at.
Xayden has both Monica and Ella sharing his lap, while Dekker is making out with Ivy and Quinn at the same fucking time. Lucky bastard.
I once asked him why he always has two chicks hanging off of him. He told me his dick was too big for just one pussy. Cocky asshole is what he is.
“Hey.” Xayden looks away from his lap dances toward me. “Did she get home?” he says into my ear.
I nod and stare out around me.
“Go get us drinks,” Xayden says to the girls.
All four of them get up and head over to the bar.
“Did she see you?” Xayden asks me.
I rub the back of my neck. “Yeah. I kinda talked to her.”
He blows out a breath. “Dude, that wasn’t the plan. I’m not trying to make friends with her.” Xayden purses his lips. “Fucking why did you do that?”
I nod. “So when they found out they were pregnant with me, my mother and father instantly knew they wanted to name me after the Northern Lights. So, Aurora it was.”
