Story: Shattered
She sacrificed for me, so I guess this is me sacrificing for her.
Chapter Three
XAYDEN
“Hey,bro. Did you see your new stepsister?” Seven waggles his eyebrows. I saunter over to the pool table where the guys are at.
“Xay, baby.” Monica slides up next to me, and I wrap an arm around her. Monica is the president of her sorority, Beta Gamma Kappa. Our two chapters do a lot of charity work together, so they are around us often. The girls sort of just follow us around like puppy dogs.
More like waiting to suck our dicks, but whatever works.
“Yeah, I saw her. She ran out of the house when my dad asked her about why she chose her major. Did she come back here?”
Dekker shakes his head. “Haven’t seen her come back.”
“Who, that ugly ass?” Ivy cackles from the kitchen island as she pours more of whatever she’s drinking herself to death on.
“Ugh, yeah. What a whale. Girl could stand to lose a few hundred pounds,” Ella, one of the other girls that hangs with us, says.
The girls giggle at the expense of my new stepsister. Monica breaks away from me and joins her sisters.
Dekker, Seven, and I are part of the Sigma Xi Delta fraternity. I’m the president of our chapter, Dekker’s my vicepresident, and Seven’s our secretary. We are legacies. Our fathers were Sigma Xi Deltas back in their day.
Last year, a rare occurrence happened. Both the president and vice president of our frat graduated early. They graduated in the winter, leaving their positions early on. Since no other senior wanted to step into that role, a decision was made to vote in juniors as the heads of the frat.
And here we are. Of course, being legacies helped.
Ignoring the girls and their cattery, I turn back to the guys. “So she didn’t come back here?” I ask.
“Nope. We saw her leave, but she didn’t come back. Where do you think she went?” Seven looks at me and raises a brow.
I shrug. “No idea. Don’t really care either.” I run a hand down my face. “Do you know my father paid for her college?”
“What? Why?” Dekker stands up from his shot on the pool table, appearing taken aback.
I shrug in response. “I had to work my ass off to save for college. Work for scholarships and shit. She waltzes into town and he basically hands her a college degree paid for.”
“You think she and her mom are after your dad’s money?” Dekker asks, fidgeting with the pool stick.
“Maybe they’re being greedy. I have no clue. This entire time, I had no idea my dad was seeing June, let alone up and marrying her. But I guess my dad talked to Aurora often. She mentioned how he talked about me. Yet he kept me in the dark,” I huff.
“Maybe he didn’t want to upset you. Or feel like he was trying to replace your mom,” Seven offers up.
“I didn’t even know my mom.” A sharp pain slices through me.
She never got to know me. She died after my birth.
I add, “Doubt it was that. You know what? Who the fuck cares? Obviously, he’s in love with June. What the fuck ever. Rack ‘em.”
The guys and I begin to play a game of pool, but my mind keeps drifting to my stepsister. Despite what the girls say, she’s actually beautiful. No, she isn’t a stick figure. She has curves, her fucking tits are huge, and that ass. Internally I groan at the thought. I won’t lie, I enjoyed watching her leave when she stormed out of dinner.
If she wasn’t my stepsister, I would so hit that.
Her black hair with her pink highlights, fuck. She has these beautiful grey eyes that just reel you in. Aurora is really beautiful.
Again, too bad she’s my stepsister. So, my dick needs to be kept in check.
“Hey, earth to Xayden? You break.” Seven smiles at me like he knows why I am lost in thought.
