“That’s not the only thing he deseeded this morning.” Talon smirks.

“I think you meanreseeded.” Scar laughs. “Nitro, your woman’s a screamer. That’s for sure.”

“Guys, I ordered an extra-large ball gag for her, but it’s coming from China, so shipping’s going to take a few days.” Matrix leans back in the recliner.

“Did you expedite it at least?” Talon asks.

“Of course.”

“Next time overnight that shit,” Reaper says.

“You’re all just jealous.” I chuckle.

“Not me. I’ve got the hottest woman on the planet,” Scar says wryly.

“And a house far, far away from neighbors, so it doesn’t matter how loud she gets. You’re not stuck sharing a wall with anyone.” Talon gives me a pointed look.

“You could move into Crystal’s old room,” Scar says.

“Nah, I don’t want to drag all my shit over there.”

“He likes listening in,” Reaper says.

“Right, like you don’t do it too?” Talon smirks.

“I swear I’m moving us out of here as soon as possible,” I say.

“Breaking news!” The broadcast is interrupted by red text, which covers the screen. “This is Walter Reynolds reporting live from outside Jonathan Blackstone’s Montana ranch. Several weeks ago, I received a disturbing video of Mr. Blackstone and Senator Ryan McNash. We’re going to play a portion of it for you, but please be advised this content isn’t suitable for children.”

“Oh, shit! It’s happening.” I lean forward and rest my elbows on my knees.

The video is clipped, only showing the part about the binders full of children to choose from. I’m disappointed. The whole video is so much more damning than this portion of it. Also, why the hell did Reynolds choose to air this on a Saturday afternoon? No one’s going to be watching except for diehard sports fans. This needed to be prime-time news.

“I was able to speak with Mr. Blackstone earlier this week. A portion of that interview is available on my website. For the whole interview, tune in Monday night at eight p.m., where I’ll be sitting down with him and getting to the bottom of this scandal. Now, we’ll return you to your regularly scheduled broadcast,” Reynolds says.

“What the fuck?” Scar’s on his feet.

“That’s not how this was supposed to go,” Talon says.

“No shit,” Reaper says.

“This is so fucked. People aren’t going to understand the implications of that video. Also, he sat down with Blackstone, but he’s holding back that interview until Monday. What the hell’s going on?” Matrix asks.

“At least it’s prime time.” I’m too shocked to say anything else.

“What are people saying online?” Scar asks Matrix, who hasn’t looked up from his computer since the news broke.

“They don’t know what to make of it. Someone spread a rumor that the binders are just filled with kids who need to be adopted from other countries.”

“That’s not what they were talking about at all,” I say.

“I know, but without the context of the whole video, people won’t be able to see it.”

“Can we release the whole thing? Get it out there?” Scar asks.

“Already on it.” Matrix taps furiously.
