“If we manage to get her out, she’s going to need medical treatment. Not just for the drugs, but for everything else.” Vapor doesn’t have to elaborate. I already know what other issues she might have because she was trafficked.
“We’re getting her out.” My tone leaves no room for argument.
“Agreed. We just have to figure out how,” Scar says.
“They have the whole place locked down,” Talon says.
“Digital security?” I ask.
“Surprisingly, no. I looked all over, along doors and windows. Nothing. I was as surprised as you. But that doesn’t mean it’ll be easy. Armed guards patrol both inside the house as well as around the grounds. I don’t know how we’re going to sneak her out. And what about the others? We can’t just leave them behind.” Talon frowns.
“Are you sure the woman you saw was Angela?” I ask.
“The girl was a lot thinner, very pale, and she looked like shit, but it was her. The eyes matched the photo Daisy gave us.”
“Okay. Local cops have no interest in busting the place, right?” I ask Vapor.
“They won’t lift a finger to help.”
“We can’t go in guns blazing either. There are a lot of other girls inside,” Talon says.
“Trying to rescue them all won’t work,” Scar says. “We have to focus on Angela for now. Once we get her out, Daisy can alert the Feds. I don’t trust them not to fuck it up, but at least this will put the house at the top of their priority list.”
“Okay, so if we’re only interested in Angela, how are we getting her out?” I ask.
“That’s a damn good question,” Talon says.
“You were inside. Any ideas?”
“Do they ever take the girls out to entertain men away from Lulu’s?” Talon asks.
“It’s happened once or twice that we know of,” Fang says.
“What were the details?”
“A couple of months back, there was a big crypto convention in town. Crypto billionaires flew in on private jets. They stayed in the penthouse suite at The Canal. It’s a very exclusive boutique hotel. You can’t book it online. Fortunately, I have access to their registration system.” Fang grins.
“Are there any big conventions happening right now?”
“There’s a huge medical convention. What are you thinking?” Fang asks.
“What if we pose as high-end buyers looking for girls to entertain us for the weekend?”
“How could we be sure they’d send Angela?” I ask.
“Give a detailed description of the type of girls you want. Make sure it matches her exactly. There’s a chance it won’t work, but it should.” Fang opens his laptop and starts typing. The hotel’s reservation system pops up. “I just need fake names, and we’re good to go.”
“I don’t know anything about medical stuff. None of us look like doctors.”
“Those aren’t the guys who make the most money in medicine. Pharmaceutical reps bring in the big bucks. Also, it could be an extra lure because they have access to prescription opiates. Cartels will pay good money for that high-quality stuff.”
“I like where you’re headed with this,” Scar says.
“I’ve been thinking about this all night. I knew we wouldn’t be able to just walk in there and get her. We need her to come to us,” Talon says.
“Who wants to play the pharma reps?” Fang asks.
“Me.” I raise my hand.
