“Yes, and yes! I’ll marry you.”
“That makes you my old lady now.”
“What privileges do I get for letting you call me‘old’?” I ask as he slides the ring onto my finger.
“It’s a term of endearment, babe.” He tosses the empty box onto the chair.
“I know, but‘old’, really?”
“Shut up and kiss me.”
Without hesitation, I throw my arms around his neck, kissing him deeply. The familiar warmth of his body pressing against mine makes me want so much more from him. As Matrix’s strong arms wrap around me, I get lost in the moment. I can’t believe I ever doubted our love. I was such a fool.
As we break for air, I look deep into Matrix’s eyes. My heart is so full of love and gratitude I’m afraid itwill burst.
“Take me to bed, old man.”
“Woman! That’s not how that works.” He scoops me into his arms and carries me toward the door.
“Wait a minute, so you get to call me‘old’, but I don’t get to return the favor? Who the hell made these rules?”
“Probably Winchester, but who knows?” He chuckles.
“Men.” I cluck my tongue.
“I can’t wait to make you wrap that around my cock.”
“Matrix!”
“Not today, though. This afternoon will be all about you. When you’re better, I’ll make you ride it, slide it, suck it, bite it …” He breaks into song.
“You’re crazy.”
“Only for you, babe.”
As he carries me through the living room and past the kitchen, I hold out my hand to show off my new ring. The other club members clap and whoop while Nina grins like a proud momma.
“Congrats on the engagement, but keep it the fuck down,” Talon yells.
“They won’t,” Reaper says with a smirk.
“I’m going home to my wife,” Scar says.
“Me too,” Nitro adds.
“Byeeee,” I call over my shoulder as Matrix carries me to bed.
True to his word, he spends the rest of the day—and half the night—making me the happiest woman in the world. When I first moved into the clubhouse, I didn’t know what to expect. I never imagined I’d end up in the arms of an outlaw biker, but this is exactly where I belong. Despite all the upheaval, I’ve finally found the love of a lifetime.
I have no idea what the future will hold in terms of my career, but as long as I get to spend forever with Matrix, it doesn’t matter. I’ll figure it out later. Right now, the only thing I care about is making love to the man of my most wickedly sexy dreams.
Chapter 26: Matrix
Waking up on my wedding day is easily the most nerve-wracking thing I’ve ever done. Sure, I survived Blackstone’s dungeon, shootouts with human traffickers, and run-ins with violent cartels, but none of that can compare to the anxiety I feel today. I’m not afraid of marrying Daisy. I love her more than anything in the world. My fear has to do with making sure today is perfect for her. I want her to enjoy the most romantic, perfect wedding day ever.
Scar walks into my bedroom, holding two beers.“Thought you might want a drink before you walk down the aisle.”
“Do I really look that freaked out?”
