He raises a brow, and for the first time all night, he smirks.
Enzo smirks at me, and I know that isn’t a good sign.
Chapter Five
Vincenzo
“Anything,” she blurts out. Desperation is usually something I hate. A sign of weakness. Of an ill-educated person. But desperation from Jordan Delise? It has my cock aching. It’s pleasantly enticing.
She may not know exactly who her father is, what he does or is tied up in. She definitely doesn’t know the trouble he’s gotten himself into. But she certainly knows if he finds out his little girl, his one and only little girl, is at a key party, she’s dead in the water.
Of course, not literally. He would never harm a hair on her head.
But other people may.
People like his enemies. The people he fucked over. People like me.
Little Miss Jordan Delise has no idea what’s gone on between her father and me. It isn’t surprising how well he’s kept her in the dark. If she weren’t so hot, I’d be worried for her. The girl can’t think for herself on most days. I don’t know how the hell she managed to get into this place. How did she find out about it and get here without Daddy Delise knowing? Maybe she isn’t as helpless as I thought.
Especially after she dumped the Canvani boy. That alone has caused several issues for dear old daddy. Issues she clearly knows nothing about. Her being here doesn’t affect me one way or another. But if the Canvanis find out? They’d be furious. Zachary gets dumped like a teenage prom king, only to find his girl at a high-end club for a key party? It’s laughable from my point of view. From his? Downright insulting.
Her father is already in deep shit over the break-up. If this gets out? Well, let’s say I’m not one for drama, but I’d enjoy being a fly on the wall for that ordeal. I’m eager to see how he gets his ass out of this one, especially without having my help. Something I used to give Matteo Delise often and freely. But the day his respect for me went out the window, when he fucked me over the same way he screwed everyone else, I was done.
So none of this is my problem.
Though, my head is spinning with possibilities…
So many possibilities.
Jordan is beautiful. Young. In great health. Italian, like me. We’d make gorgeous babies. Strong boys who would carry on the Bramante line. Smart girls who won’t allow men to step all over them. Jordan is respectful. She likes things done for her. To sum it up, she’s a spoiled brat with manners. Meaning, she won’t argue with me, won’t put up a fight, will take what I give her and like it. She’s naïve enough to not know better. Ultimately, she’s perfect.
Yes, I think this could work out wonderfully.
“Anything?” I question, wanting to see how far I can push her. How much can I get out of her? How desperate is she?
“Yes, Enzo. I swear.”
Her eyes widen, watering a bit. Her bottom lip trembles and I want to take it between my teeth and bite down. I want to hear her whimper for me.
I test her words by pressing my hand to her waist. She doesn’t flinch. I slide it up her side, the sleek black dress soft under my palm, the curves of her waist perfect for bearing children.
I raise a brow in question.
“Anything,” she whispers, dragging her tongue along her bottom lip.
I look up and gesture to Rafael with two fingers to come toward us.
Jordan stays put. She stares at me, waiting for me to tell her everything will be okay.
I can’t do that. I won’t. Little Jordan Delise has a reality check coming her way, and if she can’t handle it, she has her daddy to thank for it.
Rafael takes the bag and paper from her hand. He places the bag on the end table and unfolds the paper.
“Hard limits,” he reads. Jordan sucks in a sharp breath. Ah, so she wasn’t expecting this? Fascinating. Her naïve little brain can’t wrap itself around the thought of daddy’s friend wanting to fuck her brains out. Does she not realize how fucking hot she is? Does she not realize the things men like me do to women like her?
Rafael lists off the limits Jordan has chosen as non-negotiable.
“Branding—” Because she doesn’t want Daddy to find out.
