Story: Desire
The next moment, there’s a knock at my bedroom door, even though it felt like forever. I know it’s not, but my protective impulses are firing, and I need my woman in my arms. This place has been working me to the ground, and it’s harder to escape to her room, than it is to see her in other parts of the facility.
Forcing myself to stand, I answer the door. Silla’s eyes trail hungrily over my body, making me glad that I threw on a comfortable long-sleeved shirt and joggers as soon as I got to my room.
“Hey, Warden,” Silla breathes, and it makes my heart happy to see that I affect her like this.
My hand raises to play with one of her raven curls. “Hey, Dangerous Girl. You’re in so much trouble.”
Nostrils flaring, I notice it’s with defiance.
“I lost track of time,” Sidney murmurs, making me realize he’s even there. Damn, I lose all sense when she’s around. “Don’t be too hard on her, Silla is having a weird day.”
Weird?I don’t know what that means.
Tangling my fingers in hers, I pull her inside. I plan to keep her tonight, so I’ll deal with clothing for her in the morning. Isaac was smart, and started keeping an extra uniform and pajamas for her in his room.
It would be presumptuous of me to expect that, and this week has made me see that we need to talk.
“I’ll take that under advisement,” I murmur, closing the door in Sidney’s face. I can hear his dark chuckle still, and I roll my eyes. “Tell me about your day?”
Silla’s stomach takes this time to growl, and her hand covers it with a wince.
“Come eat.” I sigh. “No more skipping meals, Silla.”
“It wasn’t on purpose to begin with, and then it all kind of spiraled,” she admits, still at the table I’ve led her to.
There’s spaghetti and meatballs, a salad, and rolls in front of her. Humming in contentment, Silla takes a bite of her bread as I sit across from her.
“It wasn’t the worst day I’ve ever had here,” she says with a shrug once she swallows. I really hate that she feels she has to say that. “Patricia told me what the possible ramifications are since I’m not responding well to the birth control, and the room spun on me.”
Leaning my forearms on the table, I notice her appreciation for them. Smirking, I snap my fingers like an asshole. “My eyes are up here, Baby,” I tell her.
Silla looks up in surprise, almost as if she didn’t know she was doing it. Gorgeous color floods her cheeks, making me grunt in satisfaction. So fucking beautiful.
“Umm… was I staring?” she breathes, and I chuckle.
“What else happened during your appointment with Patricia?” I ask Silla, intrigued when the flush continues down her body. I want to see how far it goes, and drag my tongue down her skin.
Clearing my throat, I raise my brow at her, as if I wasn’t thinking inappropriate thoughts, and my cock isn’t awake and thickening in my pants.
“She grabbed Sidney and he explained an alternative form of birth control he could offer,” she says. “I was fine after that for the most part, so Patricia removed the implant.”
“Why do I feel as if you’re lessening the severity of your day, Silla,” I complain.
Shrugging, she eats her food. My stomach warms as I watch her. I really like to feed this woman, and I’m unsure if that’s a kink or not. Silla looks pointedly at my plate, causing me to chuckle.
As I eat as well, she answers me. “It doesn’t make sense for me to be all riled up about my day if it’s already happened. I got through it, it’s done. If you want a different reaction, you have to be around when the shit happens, Warden.”
I really don’t like her calling me that.
Growling under my breath, I take an annoyed bite of my food. Silla is right, I haven’t been around, too wrapped up in everything else. I need to figure out how to balance things.
“Sidney said you’re losing weight?” I ask, hating that I don’t know this. I stare at her, trying to see if she looks different. All I see is my beautiful, Dangerous Girl.
Gods, are her cheekbones more prominent? I haven’t gotten to hug her… Maybe I could tell that way?
“How much weight?” I grunt at her nod.
Straining, I can’t understand her mumble, slamming my fist on the table. “Godsdamnit woman, don’t push me!” I yell.
