Story: All's Fair in Love & Vegas
“Youknow, for a touring musician, you sure are a princess,”Shannoncomments loudly from the driver’s seat as he looks back and forth, watching for oncoming traffic as we leave the hotel. “Startin’ to think the twins spoil you too much.”
“Letour princesa be,” the twins say simultaneously.
Ican’t help the simper that spreads across my face.
Adriancoaxes the coffee to my lips.WhenItake another gulp, he smiles brightly.
Zak’shand covers my thigh and squeezes.
“Fuckare we headin’ to now?”Robbiequestions.
MaybeIam a bit of a princess of the road, butIstill wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
Timelessis skyrocketing. We’reback home after our first-ever headlining international tour, and people are coming to shows forus.
Timelesshas always been going places, but the reality hits us every time we step on stage with fans wearing our march and screaming our songs back to us as we perform.
Peopleare eatingTimelessup, and there’s no stopping us.
Myphone buzzes in my hand.WhenIpeek at the screen,Ty’sname and face pop up.
Iquickly flip it down, screen facing my thigh.
Ahand snatches my phone.
“Hey!”
Zak’seyes flicker over the screen, readingTy’stext.
“CanIhelp you, sir?”
“Fuck’she mean about tomorrow?”Zakquestions with dark brows raised sky high.
Iroll my eyes. “HimandDaveare visiting andIsaid we could hang out.Allof us.”
“WhatifIdon’t wanna go?”
“Justgo, okay?”Isay. “Otherwise, you’re gonna be sulking andIdon’t want to hear it later.Allwe’re doing is hangin’ out with old family friends.”
Zaksniffs and crosses his arms. “Yeah, and one of ‘em likes you a little too much.”
Itake his chin to make him face me instead of watching the highway fly past outside the window. “Areyou worriedTy’sgonna somehow whisk me away toAtlantaand make me leave you?”
It’shardly noticeable before he tamps it down, butIsee the hurt flash in his eyes.
Itug at his bearded chin, pulling him close soIcan give him a gentle kiss. “Noway. You’restuck with me forever.”
“Ugh, can y’all just get it over with and get married already?”Robbiebitches. “Gonnamake me throw up.”
Zakchuckles, his eyes brightening before he kisses me.Hethrows his chin toward me, glancing at the coffee in my hand. “Betterdrink up—Dreeworked hard to get that.”
Itwist the cup, searching for the label. “Delivery.Mustabeen extra difficult today.”
Adriansqueezes my neck with his arm still around my shoulders. “Shutup and drink your go-go juice already.”
Zak’shand wraps around mine;Dreeleaves his arm around my shoulders as he scrolls on his phone.
Ipeep at the screen and find him texting some girl, casually flirting as he normally does.
