C aitlin sighed into his kiss. Now, there was nothing stopping them from giving into the feelings they shared. Well, no love had been spoken of, but as Lucas had asked her, she could wait for him. Wait for him to be ready to speak openly about it. But the words he had said were enough for her.
He wants a future with me.
It still astounded her even as she was opening her mouth to his lovely, intoxicating kiss. That she was accepting the kiss in full from the man she so desperately loved. His tongue was like a drug, and she appreciated that he was well experienced, for he was teaching her things she never thought she’d get the chance to learn.
When he nibbled at her lower lip and then soothed the bite with a stroke of his expert tongue, Caitlin felt a shudder as a wetness appeared between her thighs. She wanted more, so much more.
Lucas grinned, as if he knew exactly what was going on. His eyes on hers, he lifted and turned her until she was seated on the edge of his desk, and he took a seat in his chair.
“What?” she asked, and he shushed her, lifting her skirts slowly, pulling her feet until they rested on top of his knees.
A little thrill of delight rushed through her as she remembered the way he’d licked and sucked at that secret place, pulling out an orgasm so strong she’d felt boneless afterward. Until reality had struck, and he’d gone. But this time, Lucas looked very comfortable in his spot, and he was smirking up at her.
“Help me lift yer skirts,” he said in a rough voice that made her feel wanton and desired.
She did so, and his calloused hands pushed underneath, pressing through her underthings until they found her, wet and swollen with need. She sucked in a breath, not realizing how much she’d missed the feel of his touch.
He rubbed his thumb over the aperture of her center, the motion sending a fresh shudder through her as she realized the pleasure that was to come. It was warm, hot even, and unlike the waves in the sea they swam in only a day ago. His thumb kept moving languidly over her.
Then, he was gone, disappearing underneath her skirts, his hot mouth on her. She leaned back on her hands, her legs completely wide and open as he made her feel the pleasure she’d wanted from him. Finally, there were no real secrets between them, and she could feel what he gave with the hope of a future.
Crying out his name when his tongue pushed inside her, then replaced by a finger, Caitlin held tight to the opposite edge of the desk. Never had she expected to feel so like a common woman as well as a loved one at the same time. Her climax came soon afterward, like the largest wave after many small ones, and when it crashed on her, she lay back on the desk in full, unable to hold herself up any longer. Her spectacles slipped from her face, and she held them up with her hand.
But Lucas held onto her hips, continuing to devote himself to his task in full, eking out even more waves of ecstasy from her with that tongue of his. In seconds, she was spent, lying there, wondering how she’d ever get up again. But she saw him, his face smug and happy, mouth shining once more with the evidence of her need as well as her satisfaction.
“It is a dangerous thing what ye dae there,” she managed to get out, and he laughed.
Lucas’ laugh was low and manly, but it made her want to laugh as well. She would never get tired of the sound. It meant the clouds had passed, and the sun had come out.
“Aye, I hope so. I plan on daein’ it as often as possible. But ye ken nae what a dangerous thing it is to watch yer face as ye take yer pleasure.”
“Och?” she asked, embarrassed, reddening a little as she sat up.
But Lucas kissed her before she could say another word, the kiss soft and slow, yet insistent. She gave into it once again. Still, she wanted more. In fact, she wanted to see more of him. Reaching for him, she felt him pull back, and he broke the kiss. Frowning, she grabbed at his shirt, pulling him closer again.
“Daenae run from me now. I want to touch ye meself,” she said with a bold grin, one she was sure she had never worn before.
His mouth opened, but no words came out, and she prided herself that she’d silenced him for the moment. She was beginning to enjoy this new wanton self, a self that was so loved and appreciated for who she was.
“I daenae ken,” he replied, and she narrowed her gaze at him.
“Why?”
“Because I daenae want ye to think that I am demandin’ me pleasure from ye. I want ye to only ken how much I want ye, that ye are everythin’.” He stopped there, and she could tell there was more, but it was not yet time.
“And who says that ye are nae everythin’ as well? To me?” She pulled on his shirt a little harder, and he couldn’t help but be right up next to her where she could feel whatever bulged between his legs.
It pressed up against her center, and she took her hand and rubbed against it, only to find he closed his eyes and let out a sigh.
“So? May I?” she asked, being far more polite than she wanted to be.
“Aye,” he said, dipping his head to kiss her again.
What a bold lass he’d chosen. At first, he’d thought Caitlin shy and demure, but as soon as her first powerful word had been uttered from her mouth that day when she’d said ‘No’ to him, he knew differently. His anger in return had been great, but deep down, he’d always appreciated and respected one who could fight back. His Nan was a perfect example of that. They were always sparring, and he liked that, for it meant that he was not the one in control. He was not the one wielding power over another like his father had done.
It was Caitlin who wielded the power now, and she would wield it forevermore. He was already hard as a rock before she’d began to rub her hand against his length, and now he grew even impossibly harder.
“Christ, Lass,” he said, leaning his hands on her shoulders, as his head bent forward, and he pressed it against her neck, breathing in her lovely rose scent.
He could feel her fingers moving to remove his kilt, and she struggled a bit. He was loath to help her, afraid he would taint her somehow or that he didn’t really deserve to feel pleasure, but he helped her, exposing himself to her eager hand. He didn’t want to think about stopping; he couldn’t think about it.
With alacrity, she gripped at him and slid her lovely soft fingers over his hardened flesh, pulling another gasp from him. He couldn’t talk anymore after that. Her touch was melting him from the inside out, breaking things down that had been built up for so many years. Things he thought would hold fast no matter how hard he tried to remove them.
Her touch was slow at first and then it got faster, her hand moving from root to tip, her thumb brushing across the top of him, taking the first drops of milky liquid with it. He was in the midst of a growing climax when she jumped off the desk and knelt in front of him.
Before he could stop her, her mouth closed over him, and with a cry, he leaned against the edge of the desk as she took him full in her mouth. She was an innocent, and yet she seemed to know so much. When she reached the root and pulled back, he came in a sudden burst. An animalistic growl escaped his throat as his seed pulsed into her mouth. His body trembled, but Caitlin stayed where she was, holding firm, letting him release inside of her.
When he finally came to, Caitlin stood, and he adjusted his kilt and looked up at her. She was grinning from ear to ear, looking positively smug, and breathless, he shook his head with a laugh.
“Ye were nae supposed to dae that,” he said, raising his hands to her cheeks.
“And why nae? I like the fact that I can surprise ye.”
He kissed her and then laughed. “Aye that was certainly a surprise. A better surprise than I could have asked for.”
“I wanted to give ye as much pleasure as ye always give me.”
Lifting her up so that she sat on the edge of the desk again, he lifted his skirts so that he could stand between her legs. Grabbing her waist, he held her close and leaned his forehead against hers. He did not want to let her go, even though he knew this was not the place for any more of that . If he was going to make love to her, then he would do it properly. In a bed. Not quickly like he would with a young woman who’d agreed to a one-night encounter. That seemed like a distant memory, that past he’d shared with others.
“Ye are a good woman, far better than me.”
“Stop that,” she said, wrapping her arms about his neck. “Ye are good. I willnae live the rest of our lives havin’ ye hold me so high above ye.”
“Easy to dae, with one such as ye.” He kissed her before she could say anything else about it, but he knew they needed to leave the study soon. With a sigh, he said, “I suppose we ought to go out and have the evenin’ meal. I am sure people are wonderin’ where we are.”
“Aye,” Caitlin said, “and hopefully nay one is listenin’ at the door.”
He grimaced. “Heaven forbid.” He helped her jump down from the desk, and she smoothed her skirts.
Lifting the spectacles up, he asked, “Will ye wear them? I am sure everyone will want to see them, and then ye can see how strong they are, by looking around the main hall.”
“Aye,” she said, “Will ye help me?”
She turned around, and he helped her place them properly, tying the ribbon in the back.
“I still cannae believe it,” she said.
Walking to the door, she turned around and reached out a hand. “Shall we go?”
He looked down at it, and then reached out to grasp it. His hand was so large and hers so small, and yet they seemed to fit perfectly together. His was rough, and hers was smooth, but he would work on not feeling so much shame about that fact.
“Aye, let’s go.” He opened the door, and leaning toward her, he brushed a kiss against her cheek. “I hope ye enjoy seein’ the world with yer new eyes, Sunshine.”
Grinning, she led the way, and Lucas allowed himself to be led. For surely, he would follow anywhere.
