Xander
Seriously, I figured the British Mafia could have handled killing one fucking pathetic teenage girl. After she flinched in front of the O’Sullivans after I placed my hand on her back I had to do something.
I can’t have them knowing that I’m forceful with her punishments to keep her in line. They are like those fucking De Lucas who believe in not hurting women and children.
Fucking stupid. That is what that is. Women are meant to be fucked and to produce heirs. Men don’t need to hear the opinions of women.
I was hoping I would be calling Cillian to say his fiancée died but now I have to call and tell him she was in a serious accident.
Cillian: Hello Xander. What can I do for you?
Xander: Cillian. I have some terrible news.
Cillian: Ok…
Xander: Bia was on her way into town to have brunch with a bunch when she was involved in a shootout.
Cillian: When?
Xander: Yesterday.
Cillian: Yesterday! And why am I only hearing about this?
Xander: I figured it wasn’t that important to you.
Cillian: How badly is she hurt?
Xander: First degree burns, some smoke inhalation, cuts on her face from glass, and fractured wrists.
Cillian: Are you fucking kidding me? You should have notified me fucking immediately. Did you or did you not read the marriage contract you signed?
Xander: Yes, I did. I was clearly there in the room with you.
Cillian: Then you heard me in that meeting when I said I would take care of her.
Xander: Yes, but she isn’t your wife yet. She is still a Vasileious.
Cillian: Obviously she isn’t safe being under your care.
Xander: I had no idea she would be targeted.
Cillian: I will be landing in Greece in a few hours.
Xander: That isn’t necessary.
Cillian: It is completely necessary. I need to see if she is okay with my own eyes.
Xander: She is my granddaughter. I will make sure she is safe and getting the best care.
Cillian: She is my fiancée. And I will be there to make sure she gets nothing but the best.
He hangs up the phone.
“Fucking great,” I mumble to myself as I leave my office to head back to the hospital. If Cillian finds out I didn’t move her to a private room or give her the best care possible, I can see him doing something drastic, which wouldn’t be good for me right now. I need to make them happy so I can destroy them later.
Forty minutes later, I’m walking back into the hospital that I left two hours ago. I walk up to the nurse’s station and get my pass for Bia’s room.
“I need Bia Vasileious moved to one of the private rooms.”
“Uh, oh. Let me see what we have available.”
“I wasn’t asking. I’m telling you to fucking make it happen or you don’t want to know what I can do to you and your family.”
I squeeze her hand until she lets out a small whimper. I let go and she moves her hands back toward her computer, where she very quickly moves them across the keyboard.
“There is a room available. I need to put a card on file to be able to move her.”
I pull my card out of my wallet and toss it at her. She grabs it and puts the information in the computer and hands me back my card.
“Let me call her nurse to let her know we are moving her.”
“Get it done quickly.” I say before walking off to Bia’s room. I don’t knock when I get to her room, I walk in and see her quietly watching TV. I turn it off and her head turns towards me.
“Your fiancé is on his way. You will tell him you are fine, and you have no idea who did this to you.”
“Yes, sir.”
Cillian
After I got off the phone with Xander. I called my father about Bia. Then I called our pilot to get the plane ready because I will be there soon. I have Oscar and Daniel coming with me to check on her.
Oscar is supposed to keep me from killing Xander, and Daniel will soon be our family doctor. We want one of our own people to make sure Bia is okay. I wouldn’t put it past Xander to pay the doctors and nurses off to lie to me.
We land in Greece and get into the SUV that I have waiting to drive us to the hospital. When we arrive at the hospital, I head straight to the nurse’s station.
“Hello, my fiancée was brought here yesterday. I’m here to see her.”
“Her name?”
“Bia Vasileious.”
“Did you say Bia… Bia Vasileious?”
“Yes,” I say, wondering why she looks so nervous and is rubbing her bandaged hand?
“She was just brought upstairs to one of the private rooms.”
“Just brought upstairs? Hasn’t she been here since yesterday?”
“Yes, her grandfather just came here a few hours ago and demanded she be moved to a private room. He seemed to be in a rush to get her moved.”
“I see.”
She hands all of us visitor tags.
“Thank you. You have been very helpful.”
The three of us walk to the elevator, and Oscar starts in on me as soon as the doors close.
“Do not kill Xander,” Oscar says teasingly but he also knows how tempted I am to actually do it.
“We'll see.” I say.
“Don’t start a war on their territory we are outnumbered, and Bia is hurt. Focus on Bia first, then we can plan how to kill him later.”
I nod. “Fine, but only for now.”
We step off the elevators and walk up to Bia’s room. I knock three times and I hear a quiet, “Come in.” I slowly open the door and that same sweet face I saw two weeks ago is now covered in cuts. She is wrapped in gauze from her elbows all the way up to her hands. She sees us and tries to sit up. I quickly moved to her side.
“Easy, Bia. You don’t have to sit up for us.”
“Oh no. It’s okay.”
“Relax,” I tell her a bit forceful. Is she insane? She has been through hell she doesn’t need to sit up for us. I watch as she takes a deep breath and she slumps back in the bed but slightly winces in pain.
“Bia, do you mind if I look at your injuries?” Daniel asks.
“Uh...” she stutters.
“This is Daniel, a personal friend and a doctor, I brought him along because I wanted to make sure you were getting everything you needed.”
“Oh. Okay. Sure, Daniel, you can look.” Daniel places the clipboard down. He puts on a set of latex gloves before he steps next to her.
“I’m going to gently touch the cuts on your face. Did they clean them and put anything on them?”
“Yes, they cleaned them when they pulled the glass out.”
Jesus, her face was cut up from fucking glass. I watch as she flinches as he touches each cut.
“I’m sorry, Bia. Why didn’t they give you anything for the pain? I saw nothing on your chart about them giving you any medication?”
“They never offered anything.”
“What?” he asks.
“Are you fucking kidding me?” I state at the same time. How the hell do they not offer her anything for pain? Daniel tosses his gloves into the trash. He looks at me with a nod, I swear if he could there would be steam coming out of his ears.
“I will deal with this,” he tells me before he shuts the door behind him. I look back over to Bia.
“You don’t have to make a fuss about me. I will be okay.”
I sigh, “Bia. You have to be in agony.”
She shrugs her shoulders. “It’s fine.”
“It’s not. Why didn’t they give you anything? Was it your Grandfather?” Her body tenses when I mentioned him. Fuck, I was right when I thought he has been abusing her.
“No. I have no idea.”
“Bia, is he hurting you?”
“Who?”
“Bia,” I growl her name as she moves her eyes from me to her lap. I use my finger and raise her chin up so I’m looking back at her eyes. The sadness that is held in her eyes guts me. Why is that? Is it because she is my fiancée? That has to be it. That’s the only thing it can be. It can’t be because I care for her because that will never and I mean never happen.
“Bia, tell me. You are under my protection.”
“I-I can’t.”
“Okay,” I say and gently push her hair behind her ears.
“Sorry. I look like a mess. I can get cleaned up.”
“You think I’m worried about how you look?” I ask. She nods her head. Fuck this, I’m bringing her back home with me. No way can she heal if they are making her look like the perfect Mafia princess instead of resting.
“Bia, you were in a serious accident and almost died. I don’t give a shit how you look.”
“Okay,” she says slowly, clearly not believing me.
“Are you going to be okay? I will be right outside the door I just want to call my father and give him an update. Oscar will keep you company until I get back.”
She nods her head. “Of course.”
I open the door and signal Oscar inside.
“Stay with her, I’m calling Daidí with an update.”
He nods and walks inside the room, greeting Bia but before I can make the phone call, Daniel is storming toward the room, dragging another doctor. I hold the door open and walk in behind them, then shut and lock the door.
“I want you to repeat what you told me about why you refuse to give Bia anything for the pain.”
“Her grandfather said she couldn’t because of her drug problem.”
“What?” Bia gasps. She looks at me, totally embarrassed. “Cillian, I don’t... I’ve never.”
“I know, Bia,” I say to her but move toward the doctor. I pull my gun out and hold it to his head.
“You either give her what she needs for the pain or no one will ever find your body.” The doctor shakes, and I push the gun further into his head.
“What’s it going to be doc? Do you want to live, or do you want to die?”
“I can’t give her anything knowing it will feed her addiction.”
“Tell me, doctor, does she look like a drug abuser? Does she have needle marks on her arms?” I say pushing his head in Bia’s direction with my gun.
“Does that sweet, beautiful face look like she has ever done anything wrong in her life?”
“Uh no.”
“Exactly. We both know Xander was lying, and I’m guessing he threatened you with something to make sure Bia didn’t get anything for the pain.” He nods his head, fucking knew Xander would do something like this.
“And what is it he threaten you with? You have a dirty secret? Hmm gambling? Drinking? Stealing from the hospital?”
“I’ve been sleeping with my sister-in-law.”
“Tsk, tsk. Struggled to keep your cock out of your sister-in-law’s pussy, your poor wife. Such a bad doctor. Now you get to make a choice, you better hurry I don’t like that my fiancée has been in pain this long.”
“I’ll give her the medicine.”
“Good. Daniel here will watch over you while you do it,” I say as I shove him forward. I watch as the doctor shakes as he prepares to put the medicine in her IV.
“Quit fucking shaking. You will not fuck anything up in regards of Bia’s care. You don’t want to know what happens if you do,” I bark at him.
“It’s okay, Cillian. He’s just scared.”
“No, it’s not. He chose to not give you the proper medical care you deserve and that is why he is now here doing it properly while being threatened with his life,” I growl.
Once the doctor has inserted the medicine into her IV it only takes a few moments for her face to relax, and I feel like I can finally breathe.
“Good, you can sit there while we wait for your supervisor to get here.”
“What?”
“Did you honestly think I would let you walk out of here without being punished?”
“Yes.”
“That was your mistake. I said I wouldn’t kill you. Never said you would keep your job.”
“Please. I need my job. I have a wife.”
“Now your worried about your wife? Not that worried when your cock goes wondering. And think, this all could have been avoided if you could have been able to keep your dick in your pants.”
“Watch he doesn’t bolt,” I tell Oscar. I walk back over to Bia. Daniel is standing next to her checking her pulse, but her eyes are shut.
“Is she okay?” I ask after he gently place her wrist back on the bed.
“Yes, she’s asleep. Most pain medicine will make the patient tired. Sleeping will help her body heal.”
“Good. Do you think she is safe to travel?”
“I do, plus, I don’t trust the inadequate staff here.”
“Me either. Xander will blackmail whoever he wants to make her suffer. Her face said what I feared.”
“I will call back home and get what she needs to recover at your penthouse.”
“No, the family mansion. More people around to help her if she needs help. Plus, with Kayleigh being there, I know she will be getting around the clock care while I’m at work.” He nods, we both know my sweet little sister is like a mother hen to anyone who gets hurt and will make sure they are comfortable and have everything they need.
“Okay I will make sure everything is ready,” he says before walking away. I sit next to Bia while we waited for the doctor's supervisor.
What am I going to do now that she is going to be living in Ireland before she was supposed to? Do I start trying to be friendly with her? Do I ignore her? I won’t fuck her until after we are married. That was one thing Xander wanted, was for her to get married still a virgin. Some old family tradition, I can respect having traditions but the whole virgin thing. I think, is some sexist bullshit. But I will respect it because it is her family’s tradition.
But what do I do with her?
