Cillian

“How is your wing coming along?”

Mother asks me.

“Good, almost done. The painter is putting on the finishing touches and then I can move the furniture in. I hope she likes it.”

In one of Bia’s rooms, I had the landscape of Greece painted on the walls, and in certain spots, a canvas will be mounted to the wall to give it a 3D look.

I’m honestly excited to see what it looks like. Kayleigh told me Bia loves Greece’s landscape, especially the beaches. The white sand, and the clear water.

That room is for Bia to do whatever she wants in. If she doesn’t like it, then she can have it repainted to whatever she wants.

“I’m sure she will, you have put a lot of work into it for her and she will appreciate that,”

Mam states.

“I just want it to be perfect for her,”

I say with a smile, thinking of her smile that I’ve seen when she was with my family and that now, I’m going to steal from everyone. I’m going to be the reason she smiles all day, every day.

“You’re smiling…its creepy.”

Keenan teases me.

“Keenan, stop. I’m happy to see Cillian happy,”

Mam scolds him.

“Uh huh…sure, but he looks like a psycho who finally has his prey in his hands. I’m going to have nightmares over it.”

I glare at him and am about to tell him I’ll smile however the hell I want when it comes to Bia, but a phone call from Vincenzo De Luca stops me.

“Excuse me,”

I tell my family as I step out of the dining room.

Cillian: Hello.

Vincenzo: Hello, Cillian.

Cillian: Everything okay?

Vincenzo: There is no easy way to say this, but someone broke into the safehouse, and the girls are missing.

Cillian: Are you telling me Bia is missing?

Vincenzo: Yeah, I am. Cillian, one of them is hurt because there is a blood trail that leads out behind the house.

Cillian: FUCK! Who the hell has her?

Vincenzo: There was a note saying Xander’s debt is paid off.

Cillian: Of fucking course it has something to do with that motherfucker.

Vincenzo: Fabio is already trying to see if he can catch anything before they cut the cord on the camera.

Cillian: Call me as soon as you have anything. I’ll let you know what Xander has to say.

I end the call.

“FUCK! FUCK! FUCKKKKK!”

I scream while pulling on my hair.

“Cillian? What’s wrong?”

Daidí asks me.

“Bia has been taken from the safehouse.”

“Fucking hell,”

he mutters. I nod my head and tell him.

“Whatever alliance that has been keeping Xander alive is now void once I get my hands on him. He is the reason Bia is gone; they have kidnapped her as payment for a debt he has. That motherfucker has been hurting her for years; no one has defended her against him, and it’s about fucking time someone does. He will suffer for every hurtful word and each time he laid a hand on her. Mark my words he will be unrecognizable by the time I’m fucking through with that motherfucker,”

I tell him before heading to my office.

“Where are you going?”

“To pack a bag. I’m going to Greece. Xander’s days are fucking numbered.”

“Take a team with you, you’re no good to Bia if you end up dead.”

“Fine.”

Two hours later, my three brothers, Neal, Daniel, and Brendan, and I are landing in Greece. I pick up my phone and call Leonidas once we landed.

Leonidas: Hello.

Cillian: Your grandfather has fucked up for the last time. I’m only giving you the heads up because of Bia. You have thirty minutes to get anyone out of the estate before we get there. Anyone who is still there will be killed.

I end the call without waiting for his response.

“Do you think he is going to tell Xander?”

Oscar asks.

“No, he hates the bastard. He has been powerless, watching Bia being abused for years. He told me he has been itching to take him out for years.”

“Good. I don’t even know half out what he did to her, and I want to kill the bastard.”

“Trust me, you don’t want to know.”

“Did he…?”

“Touch her sexually? No, thankfully, but he made her watch as he killed her father and made her clean her father’s blood off the floor when she was only five years old.”

“Jesus fucking Christ.”

“Exactly, and there is more.”

Exactly thirty minutes later we pull up to the estate with our guns out. As soon as we are inside, I’m the first one to take a shot at one of the soldiers.

“Where is Xander?”

I shout into the room.

“Why?”

“You better go get him, because until he is in front of me, the lot of you will be killed.”

“Just because you ask doesn’t mean he will appear. You’re no one special.”

“No one special? I am Cillian O’Sullivan. Bia’s husband, and your boss has fucked up for the last time,”

I say as a bullet hits him in his knee. He stumbles a few steps before falling backward.

“Now, do you want to call him, or do I get to keep shooting?”

“I’m no bitch.”

“Suite yourself,”

I tell him as another bullet hits him in his chest, then I move onto another man. Before long Greek soldiers are returning fire. Xander’s coward ass still hasn’t shown himself.

We are heavily into the shootout when I hear my name being shouted, and I see the coward has finally made his appearance.

“What the hell is the meaning of this Cillian?”

“You have fucked up for the last time.”

“What the fuck is that supposed to mean? Peter will be hearing about this.”

“He is fully aware that I’m here and supports me.”

“Why would he do that, does he not realize he is forfeiting our alliance?”

“Our alliance was forfeited when you put your hands on Bia the day of our wedding, or did you forget when we threw you out of our home the day after the wedding? You became our number one enemy when your debt to someone caused Bia to be kidnapped.”

“Oh, well, at least she can be useful for something. Sorry you lost your wife to being a whore at a brothel.”

“Who the fuck do you have a debt with?”

“Multiple people.”

“Motherfucker.”

“I did you a favor, she isn’t that pretty anyway. Now you can marry a beautiful woman.”

“Are you fucking blind? Bia is stunning but I won’t stand here and argue with you. Now are you going to walk to our car like a good boy or do I have to drag you to the car?”

“I will never surrender,”

he shouts. I shrug my shoulders.

“Fine with me,”

I say as I shoot both of his knees. He drops to the ground, and I walk over, grabbing him by his hair and literally dragging him out of his estate, down the steps and to our car. A few men try to drag themselves over to help but all that got them was a bullet to the head.

Now it’s time to drag his sorry ass back to Ireland and get answers from him, and vengeance for Bia. Xander agreeing to Bia marrying me will be his biggest mistake.

We waste no time in returning to the plane and taking off back home. I did call Leonidas and apologize for the mess. He said as long as I bring Bia home he won’t hold it against us.

After we got Xander drugged and restrained Daniel started to treat everyone who got hurt. Thankfully only three of us hurt and no one died.

He started with Neal since he was bleeding the worst after taking a bullet to his stomach. With a few shots of whiskey, Neal was laying back as Daniel pulled the bullet out of his stomach and sewed him back up.

Next, I had Keenan get fixed up, and he laid on the dramatics.

“Do you see the sacrifices I make for you big brother?”

he says as he throws his hand over his eyes.

“You did it for Bia not for me, you overgrown child. I’ve seen you be stabbed in the stomach and not whine.”

“I could have a limp the rest of my life because of this.”

“No you won’t unless you want me to stab you with my needle. No wonder Adam bitches about patching everyone up,”

Daniel grumbles.

I chuckle because Adam, who is my fathers’ on call doctor, bitches every time a few of us need patching up. Says we are worse than children. I see what he means as I wait here with two bullets in my upper arm while Keenan lays there being a dramatic pain in my ass.

“You wouldn’t!”

Keenan says.

Daniel holds up the needle and says, “Don’t tempt me.”

“Keenan, lay there and shut up.”

He glares at me, but I ignore him as I call Daidí and give him an update. When I finish my phone call with Daidí, Daniel is ready for me.

I think about what Daidí said while Daniel patches me up, Xander has so many enemies that we have a long list to narrow through.

Where is she? Who has her? What do they want?

When I find her, I’m bringing her back home and keeping her safe. My poor wife has been through enough and she needs to finally feel safe. And I will make sure she feels loved and safe even if it kills me.
