Page 96 of The Vampire's Storm
“I need to fucking kiss you,” Logan rasped against her lips, thankful that the area in the castle was quiet. “Open for me.”
He felt her smile. “Can’t you wait.”
“Not another second.” His tongue parted her lips and swept against hers, closing his eyes as that blueberry tart flavor hit his senses. “I need my cock deep inside you.”
The sounds from deep in her throat made his cock harder, and if he could teleport with her, he would.
“You protected me,” she whispered as he released her lips.
“Always.”
“So much for wanting to kill me, you big bad vampire.” She teased him and he liked it.
“Now I’m keeping you,” Logan said, his eyes roaming her face. “For my own sexual pleasure.” Then he winked. “And yours.”
“Maybe you hit your head.” Her eyes had a glint in them.
He’d fuck that out of her, but damn, she was cute.
“Well then, perhaps you should take advantage of me before I turn back into the scary vampire killer.”
Blink.
He cupped her face and let out a playful growl. “Stop it. You aren’t scared.”
“I am. You do scare me, but I feel safe at the same time.”
“Because I’m an assassin.” Logan nodded, and for the first time in his life, he hated that it bothered someone.
Her.
Brooklyn.
Then she surprised him by shrugging. “People kill for different reasons. Sometimes by accident.”
He frowned.
“I’m an assassin, sweetheart. The only accident in my line of work is when you miss. And let me clarify, I rarely miss.”
Her eyes darted away behind him.
What in the hell?
“Tell me what you are thinking,” he demanded.
“It’s nothing. I just don’t judge, that’s all,” Brooklyn replied. “Logan, I know you won’t hurt me. You protected me in there.”
He lifted a shoulder.
“I think you like me.” She pressed her hands on his pecs.
“I like your pussy.” He leaned in. “Don’t confuse the two.”
“I’m not. The last thing I’m expecting is for you to ask me to marry you.”
Definitely not.
Except he needed to make it clear she was not doing that with anyone else. Not Mack, the charming fucker, or any other single male in the castle. There was a lot on offer, and he knew many vampires loved the vulnerability of a small human female.
