“Really? That’s your argument when it's pitch black?”
She glanced away, then those eyes darted back. “Well, you told me to run yesterday. Run little mouse.” She mocked him. “And”—she leaned closer—“you left me...frustrated.”
The hell?
Logan tugged her aside, trying to ignore the erection growing in his gray sweats — which, great, everyone would see—and glared at her.
“First, no I fucking didn’t. You came,” he hissed.
She shrugged.
Shrugged!
“Second, this is a pretty big cage, so stay inside.” Logan added sharply.
He glanced outside to the large grounds and, for a second, almost offered to run with her. But being alone in the woods with the need to fuck her was not wise.
It was a recipe of his sexual desires is what it was.
Especially with the skimpy outfit showing off all her curves.
“Why aren’t you utilizing the training center?” Logan asked. “The civilians are allowed to use the facilities when the warriors aren’t training.”
Brooklyn let out a small laugh while he tried to ignore her sexy toned legs and how her raven hair was pulled through the black cap on her head. Her cheeks rosy as they’d been when she’d come on his hand.
“Good one. Have you forgotten I’m human?”
His brows shot up, and he leaned closer. “Sweetheart, your DNA is still wet on my lips. I have not forgotten.”
Her cheeks turned red.
“Well, I’m not going to work out with vampires. I know enough about your species to know that’s a really bad idea.”
Well, she wasn’t going outside on her own.
“The girls do yoga. Join one of the classes.” Logan planted his hands on his hips.
Brooklyn jutted out her own hip in annoyance. “They run at three and five in the morning. I am humannnnn.”
“I knowwwww.” He countered, getting in her face. Then cursed. “Fine. If you want to work out, come with me and I’ll set you up on a treadmill.”
“Why would you do that?” Brooklyn frowned.
Logan slid his hand around her, guiding her away from the doorway. “Do not let Ms. Wade run outside on her own, understand?”
“Yes sir.” The two guards nodded.
“Excuse me. You can’t do that. I am not a prisoner.” Brooklyn skipped to keep up as he pressed against the small of her back.
If she was his prisoner, he’d be doing a lot more fun things with her than taking her to work out on a fucking treadmill.
No, I wouldn’t. I am not touching her again.
“Brook, it’s dangerous out there right now. You are human, as you keep fucking pointing out. Just come to the damn center with me. I’ll...Jesus. I’ll protect you from all the big bad vampires.”
Brooklyn stayed quiet as they made their way through the halls, but he could hear the wheels turning in her head.
Not literally.
