“Or sex.” I smirked.

“What?” I snorted. “Fly to each city to fuck me?”

“Or I could just hook up with one of the male dancers,” I teased.

Eddie stopped the slice of pizza going to his mouth. “Speaking of, are you still going to be a baby?”

I lifted a shoulder. “Doubt it.”

“But you’ll hook up with other dancers?” he probed.

I cracked a smile. “What are you getting at?”

“Just asking.”

“Are you going to be booking dates?” I took a bite of my combination pizza.

“Not planning on it.”

“Then we’ll both have some pent-up sexual frustration.”

“Again, the reason why I’ll come to your shows every chance I get.”

My phone started to vibrate on the coffee table. It was Molly. For her to call and not text, meant it was important. “Hey,” I answered. “Everything okay?”

“Stace,” she cried. “I was raped on a date tonight.”

My heart stoppedas I watched Stacey’s face fall. “What?” I mouthed.

She covered the phone and whispered, “My roommate was raped on a date tonight.” She closed her eyes and said into the phone, “I’ll be there in about three and a half hours.”

“Wait.” I touched her arm to get her attention. “Was it a Sweethearts date?”

“Were you on a date with a daddy?” she asked her roommate, then nodded.

“Fuck.” I stood. “She needs to call the police.”

“She’s scared,” Stacey replied after she heard her friend say something.

“Where is she now?”

“Our apartment.”

“Tell her we’ll be there in an hour and a half.”

“How?” She stood as I grabbed my cell phone.

“I have a jet.”
