This shit better work.

Because if it doesn’t, we’re all fucked.

I stay outside the gates ofEdenwith the protestors. Thankfully, it’s not a large crowd, but there are news stations here, reporting on it.

Perfect.

Now, the world is watching, and the guards won’t do anythingtoostupid.

And once I hear sirens, I know something went right.

The guards push some of us back as the gates open, but others are in their faces.

Which means it’s my time to shine.

Controlled chaos is my favorite kind of mayhem.

The first bottle flies through the air and explodes, creating a fireball that causes everyone to scramble.

In the chaos, I rush past the gates and almost collide with a smoke grenade.

I pick it up and toss it back at them, laughing.

There are shouts, sirens, and the shrieking of news reporters as I run, barreling through the front area ofEdenand back toward the ballroom.

I memorized the blueprints, and I know exactly where I’m going.

The smell of Omegas combined with the scent of smoke from the outside creates a nauseating aroma.

But finally, I smellher.

Olive.

She’s here somewhere, but her scent is richer than before.

She’s mated.

I almost lose my shit, but my panic subsides when I realize her essence is mixed with Brock and Dylan’s.

There’s one more person I need to find, though.

And I almost collide into her, my arms reaching out to stop her from barreling into my chest.

“Holy shit! What are you doing here?” Hannah says, grabbing at my arm. “We have to get out of here! Now’s our chance, it looks like they fucking poisoned everyone and—”

But she pauses and notices my grin.

“You!” she yells over the fire alarm. “You did this?”

I can’t help but laugh at her indignation.

Despite being an Omega, I’ve never seen Hannah as a potential partner. She’s always smelled bitter, and to me, she’s the little sister I came to respect.

“Part of it,” I grin, wrapping my arm around her shoulder and tugging her back towards the exit. “We gotta go, though. We’re on a time crunch.”
