Hov nodded, understanding what his longtime friend needed.

He had no intention of keeping it a secret but decided to let him enjoy his first day out.

Tomorrow, Hov was going to put it all on the table because his love for both Knycole and Rock wouldn’t allow him to play the games he felt Knyc wanted to play.

It wasn’t fair to any of them— his self included.

There was no doubt what he had to say needed to be said, but if Rock wasn’t ready, who was he to fuck up someone’s day? Plus, Hov was well aware Rock carried a secret of his own that he had yet to acknowledge with Knycole. But like he kept hers he also kept Rock’s.

They cruised down the street in their own thoughts speaking only when Rock had a question about certain people. The one person he wanted to ask about, he didn’t, and Hov was relieved.

Pulling up to Mae Lou’s house once Hov put the coordinates in the navigation system, Rock was impressed. “Y’all got my little baby out here living like this?” he asked, getting choked up.

“I told you I was going to make sure the family was straight but honestly, this was all Knycole.” Hov patted him on the back letting him know it was okay to show emotions.

“I know that ain't my baby,” Mae Lou pushed the glass screen door open with lots of force. While he was away the two of them became very close. She visited him often and with the help of Hov, she kept money on his books.

“It’s me, old lady live and in effect.” Rock grabbed her, hugging her tight. He rocked her back and forth.

Mae Lou’s eyes misted. “I missed you so much baby but I’m happy you’re home now. Thank you lord.” Raising her arms to the sky, she praised Him.

Hov stood back with his foot propped up on the porch. To witness the moment was something he couldn’t put in words.

“Get yo’ ass over here,” Mae Lou said with open arms. “You’re my grandson too.” It was true because like everyone else, they’d reneged on telling Rock about Knycole and Hov. She swore she would stay out of it and so far, she’d done just that.

“Where’s my baby?” Rock finally asked about Rocky once the reunion was less mushy.

“Her ass should be on her way home from school, but you never know what her and that damn boy got going on,” she snitched.

“Who is the little nigga?” Rock cocked his head to the side.

“Daijon,” Mae Lou rolled her eyes. She didn’t like the thought of her precious grandbaby having a little boyfriend.

“Noir’s little brother?” Rock asked for clarification, his thick brows touching his hairline.

Hov snickered. “That’s him. The little nigga got promise though. They’re saying he’s a guaranteed NBA pick.”

“For real?” Rock asked.

Hov nodded, seeing the admiration in his friend’s eyes.

He wiped his mouth. “So much shit has changed. I remember when he was still peeing in the bed.”

“Probably still does,” Mae Lou mumbled making everyone laugh.

The trio caught up a little more before Rock walked into his temporary room that was covered in shopping bags.

They’d truly gone all out for his first day home.

Hov told him about the welcome home party they were having at the club later that night.

Rock couldn’t wait to enjoy the party scene as an adult.

Aye, you got me fucked up, If I’ma go out without a fight. Aye, this my first day, I’ma live it up tonight.

“This shit is live,” Rock yelled over the music. Kodak Black’s First Day Out was bouncing through the speakers creating the vibe.

The DJ had been showing him lots of love from the time he’d pulled into the parking lot to him stepping foot through the front doors. “Welcome home, Rock. Rock’s home!”

Women were breaking their necks to get a good look at the fine boy from back in the day who was finally free.

They were well aware of his status and how he was going to be put on because he was connected to Hov and they wanted to be on his arm when he shot to the top.

Little did they know, he already had his eyes set on someone else.

“Welcome home, Rock,” Briana greeted before wrapping her arms around Hov to give him a hug.

Rock nodded his head. “You done grew up. I see you still trying to lock my boy down, huh?”

“You don’t know the half. But can I steal him from you for a while?” she asked keeping her eyes on Hov. He knew by the look in her eyes what she wanted. Hov had yet to put dick in her, but she loved sucking him up. No complaints came from him.

“It’s your world,” Rock stepped aside with a goofy look on his face knowing what she really wanted with his friend. After they walked away, Rock made his way to his section that was filled with familiar faces, including Cash.

“Nigga been in that bitch lifting ain't it?” Cash joked, dapping him up before pulling him into a brotherly hug.

“I can't believe your superstar ass came down to fuck with me,” Rock grinned. Like Hov, he was extremely proud of what Cash had accomplished. They always knew he was talented as hell with rapping.

Graciously, Cash bowed. “I wouldn’t miss this shit for nothing in the world.”

“I swear I appreciate it and I’m thankful for what you did for me.

That was some real nigga shit.” Rock thought about how Cash pulled some strings on his case so that he didn’t have to sit down for so long.

They were trying to give him ten years that got reduced to five with no papers if he did the full bid.

Pulling him into another brotherly hug, Cash told him it was no problem.

There were times when he didn’t have food and Rock and Hov would make sure his family ate.

Even though he was only two years their junior, they treated him like he was a younger brother.

When he went to them about selling drugs, at first, they said no but eventually they gave in but stayed on him about his music.

So, him using his newfound fame and power to pull some strings for Rock was the least he could do.

They sat around in the section vibing out, reminiscing, and talking shit. That was all Rock needed—to be surrounded by people he fucked with. It was all good until Christian walked in with Noir. He wasn’t a big fan of him.

“This nigga here,” Cash grimaced.

“You still smelling behind Noir, huh?” Rock asked amused while sipping from his cup.

Cash refused to answer but Rock could tell by his body language that he was.

Ever since they were kids, Cash wanted Noir and the whole hood knew it.

In the beginning, she was the reason he started rapping.

He knew in order to get a girl like her, he needed money.

And when he started to buzz, he made sure he could put her on.

That was the reason she was a social media influencer, now.

One shout out from him and her pages did numbers.

“Rock!” Noir threw her arms open, rushing into his. “I missed your ugly ass so much,” she choked up.

He squeezed her body. He missed her smart mouth, fast tail too. “You grew up.”

“I know, right and I did it without you. It wasn’t the same without the other tire to our hooptie.”

Her reciting the analogy Mae Lou came up with for the four of them was a bittersweet moment because he had yet to lay eyes on the girl of his dreams. “Where is your girl?” he finally asked. He didn’t want to ask Hov for whatever reason.

Noir’s body tensed. “She was right behind m?—”

“Damn,” Rock whispered, letting go of his hold on Noir.

Knycole’s hips swayed as she glided through the club and up the stairs.

Breathtaking and captivating . She was also nervous.

The nude matte lippy on her lips didn’t stand a chance against her full lips and well pronounced cupid’s bow.

She wore a black dress that left little to the imagination with six-inch heels.

The diamonds in her ears and around her neck and wrist outshined the club’s lights.

In her hand was a small bag. Finally, her eyes connected with Rock’s.

He was even more handsome than when he left. Her stride slowed, as his picked up.

“Knycole, baby.” He reached in to grab her without warning or permission. As if they’d never missed a beat, his strong hands dug into her soft ass when he pulled her into him. “You done really grew up on me.”

“You too,” she smirked, referring to the bulge that was stabbing her through his pants. “Step back and let me see you, boy.”

Doing as he was told, she admired his brown face, blemish free, and housing a nice goatee.

Her infatuation with him drew a smile to his face showing off the slight gap he still had.

To her, it was the sexiest thing about him.

Back like he never left, he was draped in designer from head to toe; a long way from Jordan and Nike but even then, he could dress.

Seeing him all glowed up, reminded her of what was in her bag.

“You remember that money you left me?” She asked. He nodded unable to keep his eyes off her body. “Here,” She pulled out a stack of money. “For every year, I multiplied it by two. So, here’s fifty-five thousand.”

“Man, hell nah. I gave you that because I wanted to—not because I wanted you to pay me back. Knycole you trippin’.” He pushed the money back to her.

“All the more reason why you should keep it. We were so young and yet you made it your responsibility to take care of me when you could barely take care of yourself. Please take it and take me home. Now!” Her last request was a given yes, but he would have to think about keeping the money.

Seeing him in person was more than she thought it would be. Years of memories flooded her brain and heart while creating moisture between her legs. Knycole wanted Rock bad and partying in the club no longer seemed fun.

Barely through the door, both of them had their tongues down each other’s throats. Knycole loved the feel and taste of him—it was velvety smooth and tasted of dark liquor. His hands were a little uneasy, but she understood why. It had been years since he had a woman’s touch.

“Rock.” She moaned when his finger found her wet bottom set of lips.

Using his middle finger to split her sweetness open, Rock wasted no time dipping into her center. She sank into his body instantly, melting into the folds of his muscular body. He was a dream that she didn’t want to wake up from.

“I don’t remember your pussy feeling like this. Show me how much you’ve grown. Come sit on this dick,” he commanded, beckoning her with his finger still line dancing inside of her.

“Ugh.” Her head fell back from how good it felt.

Rock removed his finger and searched for her couch in the dark. When he found it, he took a seat after removing his pants and boxers. “Come put that pussy on me,” he spoke while stroking his hard dick.

Standing in between his legs, Knycole slid a condom on his curved member. She straddled his thighs, using her hands to guide her body onto his. “Shit,” she purred connecting their bodies.

His stare was intense, but she was determined to put on a show for him.

She needed him to know she was a big girl now.

Rocking her hips, she kept a steady rhythm.

The sound of him pumping in her juices bounced off the wall.

They both couldn’t believe they were finally reconnected after what felt like eternity.

All night into the wee hours of the morning, they fucked in every position. It went from sensual love making to pornographic downright dirty fucking and sucking. Her body was sore, and his dick was drained by the time they finally decided to close their eyes.

The next morning the sweet sounds of birds woke Rock from the most peaceful slumber he ever had.

He really missed sleeping beside her. Using the silence of the morning and the light from the sun, he studied her face, scanning over the rest of her naked body until he stopped at the queen chess piece on her left hand.

He’d seen something similar but couldn’t remember where.

“The fuck?” He sat up in the bed when he heard footsteps and voices. Looking around the room, he looked for a gun or something. Only one day out, and he was already about to get into some bullshit.

The room door swung open. “Dad, why Uncle Rock in the bed with my mama?” Qua asked.
