“Would you again?”
“Yes. But next time, you can use them on me.”
“Mmm. Yes, please.”
Kian lifts himself off my cock and cuddles beside me, his cheek resting over my heart. He brushes his fingers back and forth over my chest. “You make me so happy.”
“Despite my commitment issues?”
He tilts his head so I see his face. He nods at my handcuffed wrists. “You wouldn’t have let me tie you to the bed if you didn’t trust me.”
“True.”
“The rest will come. I said it earlier, but it needs to be said again. I don’t need more from you than what you can give. I know, in time, you’ll give more of yourself to me. I can wait.”
“You have the patience of a saint.”
Kian chuckles. “Maybe. But I think it’s more likely I’m hopelessly in love with you.”
“I wish I could touch you.”
“Want me to untie you?”
I nod.
Kian retrieves the key from his bag and unlocks the cuffs. He puts them aside, kisses both my wrists, and settles against my side again. I wrap one arm over his back, running my finger up and down his spine, and stroke his hair with my other hand.
“When we get back to Leeds, I’m going to give you a key to my flat,” I say.
Kian stares at me, lips slightly parted, pupils blown wide.
“That way, I won’t have to chase you out of bed when I go to work. You could come and go as you please.”
“Thank you.”
I swallow. “And I think we should get tested. Then we wouldn’t need to bother with condoms. It would be nice to feel you when I’m inside you. Really feel you.”
“I’d like that too.”
“Kian.”
“Yes?”
“I’m done living in the past. I want to focus on my future.”
Kian smiles.
I stare into his eyes. “And I want my future to be with you.”
“I want that too.”
I knew he’d say that, but relief still flits through me, and my chest expands with happiness.
“It feels like we need wine glasses or something.”
“For a toast?” Kian asks. “To the future?”
I nod.
