Cody started to shake in silent laughter as he held me. I elbowed him in the stomach, but that just seemed to make him laugh harder.
“Must have been some toe stub.” The girl’s tone insinuated that she was holding back her own laughter. “I have some customers who will be joining you in the changing room, so if you’d like to finish what you’re doing, you’ll have a few more minutes.”
As we listened to her steps fade away, we both couldn’t hold it back any longer. We both burst out laughing. Cody pulled out some tissues from his back pocket and helped me clean up my legs until I could get to a bathroom to properly clean up.
I pulled my borrowed clothes back on as Cody zipped up his pants. His mark from me could be seen clearly on his neck. He tilted his neck to me when he caught me looking.
“I love that you marked me where everyone can see it.” Leaning forward, he kissed me gently. “The guys are going to be so jealous.”
I rolled my eyes at him. “You’re going to rub it in their faces, aren’t you?”
“I don’t have to do that. They just have to smell you and they’ll know.” He bent down to grab the rubber band that I’d yanked off of him and put his hair back up. “Or me, for that matter.”
“Let’s hurry up and get out of here before we commit another crime.” I grabbed the clothes I liked while Cody grabbed the pile that we’d leave with the employee so it could be put away. “I’m sure the guys are looking for us by now.”
The walk of shame wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The girl looked up from the clothes she was folding near the entrance to the changing rooms. She grinned at me and I gave one back.
At least that meant we weren’t going to be in trouble for having sex in the store luckily. Cody handed her the clothes we didn’t pick.
“You two have agreatrest of your day.” I could tell she was resisting laughing. At least we’d given her a story to tell her friends.
I walked quickly away with Cody following.
“I am never going to be able to show my face in this store again.” I practically buried my face in the clothes I held in my arms.
“Becca!” Jasper and Axel stood at one of the checkout lines. It looked like they’d grabbed a few things. When we got up to them, I could tell when they realized because their eyes darkened and they sniffed the air.
“Really?” Axel looked at Cody then at me. “Here?”
I couldn’t tell if they were annoyed or not. Cody’s arm went around my shoulders.
“You guys would have done the same thing.” His chest puffed out a little.
Jasper rolled his eyes as Axel just shook his head. “You’re very lucky you didn’t get caught.” Jasper took the clothes from me to place it on the belt to be checked out.
“I like this one.” Axel pointed to the dress Cody picked out. Cody glanced at me with a smirk.
“Of course you guys like the one that shows off my boobs.”
“We are still guys, darling.” Jasper picked up the dress, turning it around to look at it from all sides. “I agree, though. This will look amazing with your skin and eyes.”

“I’m not sure how long I can keep holding off Gary from coming up here.” Wyn looked down at his phone, rubbing his jaw. “Not to mention my aunt. I sent her the head of the rogue. The things you can send through the postal service.” He amused himself with his own joke. “That should hold them off for a little while longer, at least.”
We watched as Jasper, Cody, and Becca looked at phones. She’d changed into new clothes in the restroom at the store after we purchased them. She looked more comfortable, even though I liked seeing her in my shirts.
My bear was in a mood after we scented that she’d mated with Cody. He wanted to mate with her. He was jealous of the wolf and shared images of how he’d like to punish him. I wouldn’t mind the spanking. Cody made addicting noises when spanked.
“You doing alright there?” Wyn’s question brought my attention back to the conversation. I winced as my hard on rubbed against my jeans.
“I’m just peachy.”
He snorted at my answer. “It’s strange.” He put his phone in his back pocket. “Before I met her, my animal was always just under the surface, ready to strike out. To kill. It didn’t matter who. In just the few days with her, he’s relaxed for the first time since I changed. He’s not yearning for everyone’s blood.”
I had to grudgingly admire the guy. Having an animal inside of you that could shift into different species had to be overwhelming. He’d been alone, a test subject, and had managed not to go rabid. Dealing with one animal took a lot of control as it was.
