“Lots of love for a special girl,” he says easily. “It doesn’t matter to me that you didn’t give birth to her, but you did save her. We can tell her about what happened when she’s older if you want. I’m not saying that we lie, just that we extend the truth. Who the fuck knows who this birth mother is. Blood doesn’t make a parent.”
“No it doesn’t,” I admit, knowing how detached mine was. “It’s only been three days and I can’t imagine giving her up. I don’t even mind the sleepless nights or how many times she poops a day.”
“I bet they’re stinky,” he chuckles.
“I had to give her a bath with Oli,” I remember. “He was absolutely devastated by how messy she got.”
“Oh no,” he says, not looking at all sorry.
“She hated getting her butt washed in the shower,” I say. “You would have thought she was being tortured by how dramatic she was acting. Alesso even came in ready to hit someone because he thought someone was hurting her.”
“Well, life won’t be boring,” he says. “I’m going to call Oliver to deliver the news. Since we’re breaking so many laws, it’s probably best that there not be a text trail.”
“Definitely.”
I’m beginning to feel drowsy again as he requests a video call from Oliver, my eyes threatening to close. There’s something about being warm and cozy under blankets that does this to me.
I smile up at the phone as Oliver accepts the call, his eyes greedily moving over Leila and I. He told me that he doesn’t like sleeping alone when the house is practically empty, and has been sleeping in the same bed as Alesso.
All I can imagine is how cute they have to be laying in each other’s arms. I’m not at all jealous. I wish I could join them, but the house gives me the worst feeling.
It’s like ants are crawling over every one of my nerve endings. It’s very difficult to explain.
“Hey, Kitten,” he purrs. “You look good, though your eyes are drooping a little.”
“Would you believe me if I told you that I just woke up from a nap?” I ask, slightly exasperated with myself.
“Eh, there’s nothing wrong with snuggles and naps,” he says. “I think that holding a baby makes people immediately want to cuddle up and nap. They’re so warm and smell good. I feel like they should carry a warning label.”
“May fall asleep if you hold her?” Lucas asks, his head resting on my pillow so he can also talk to Oliver.
“I think that’s a very good idea,” Oliver smirks.
“I need you to do something, but I didn’t want to text it,” Lucas explains.
“You’re turning very pink right now. It’s completely illegal, isn’t it?” Oliver chuckles. “I jammed the signals. Even if anyone was trying to listen, they wouldn’t hear anything. Though, you’re so squeaky clean, I doubt anyone would bother.”
“That’s the benefit of having others do the heavy lifting,” Lucas winks.
“Stop seducing me,” Oliver mutters. “That wink should be fucking illegal, Lucas. Fuck me. What do you need?”
“Anytime,” Lucas says smugly.
“Can I watch?” I blurt out without thinking.
Lucas and Oliver gaze at me with heat and interest in their eyes while I bite my lip.
“You are always invited to watch, Kitten,” Oliver says, his tongue poking out as it brushes along his lower lip.
“I asked Isolde if she wanted to peg me,” Lucas says, making Oliver’s jaw drop.
“Fuck, that’s sexy. Maybe she should fuck your ass before I do,” he says.
“I can’t…” Whimpering, I squirm as my cunt reminds me that I’m very interested in all of that. Lucas’ nostrils flare as he breathes in the scent of my slick.
“So damn pretty. Before I tell Oliver why I was calling, do you want my ass first?”
“I…What if I hurt you?” I squeak out.
