“Ha, please continue to stroke my ego. Maybe try going a little lower,” I groan, teasing.
“When was the last time you got laid?” Alesso asks. “I feel as if you need professional help.”
“Are you telling me to find a lady of the night?” I ask, snorting. “It didn’t work very well for any of us the last time we went to a sex club. I feel like that’s?—”
Alesso curses up a blue streak before hanging up, making me chuckle. Oh, this is going to be fun.
Pulling up the video, I zoom in on Lucas’ kidnapper’s face. Her high cheekbones look sharp enough to cut glass, her hair pulled up in a braid. She reminds me of a warrior like this. Taking a screenshot of the video, I put it into a recognition program to figure out who she is.
This will pull from various places to get a bead on her identity. Unfortunately, if she has fake identification, it’ll also pull that. Since it’ll take some time, I put the laptop to the side so I can get packed. Standing, I move to my bedroom to gather clothing, weapons, and other necessities.
I’m living just outside of Ashford, Washington at the moment. The house I’m living in is under an assumed name, and I rarely go into town unless it’s absolutely necessary. Even then, I appear different each time, pretending to be a tourist. No one pays enough attention to care, and I can live anywhere as long as I have a secure internet connection.
I don’t have any pets, no close connections, and there’s no one to miss me if I die tomorrow. I enjoy creating havoc for others, and as I decide to take a job or not, I weigh how much chaos it’ll cause. I also enjoy balancing the scales of life, even if I inevitably fuck with people before getting them the information.
I know I’ve been making enemies, which is why I’m the ultimate keyboard warrior. Faceless, hidden, a ghost who only exists to hoard information and decide who deserves it.
Sometimes it’s a matter of money, others a matter of helping someone. I don’t think they realize that I’m doing them a solid because first, I harass them until they’re ready to explode. It helps to cover my good deeds, which is exactly what I want.
Blowing out a breath, I amend my thoughts as I continue to pack. I’ve never had people until now, because I’m about to claim two alphas as part of my pack. I don’t care what they want, because they’re clearly used to being alone as well.
Sometimes, you have to force people to realize that the status quo needs to change. I’m here to shake shit up.
Here. I. Come.
Isolde
I’m playing a very dangerous game today. I’m wearing a pair of black shorts, fishnets underneath it, and a dark maroon corset. My makeup is done very differently than Ophelia’s henchmen would do it, and I actually feel sexy.
Hopefully I didn’t miss the mark. Walking over to him with nail attachments on my fingers for my violet wand, I smirk, knowing that I’m going to surprise the very naked alpha strung up in front of me. He’s been very well taken care of over the last week, outside of electroshock pulses during my question portion of the day. A lot of it has hurt, and I can see from his very uncertain gaze that he’s worried.
I’ve dropped the rest of my scent blockers, and today, I’m presenting myself without any kind of mystery. That doesn’tmean that I don’t have a million secrets, I’m simply about to reveal one of my most important secrets.
“Hi,” I purr, biting my lip as I stare at him.
“Here to ask me more silly questions?” he asks.
Despite how rough the last week has been, he hasn’t tried to fight back. He’s just stoically waiting for me to figure him out. His lips did sneer at me just a little when I put the cuffs around his wrists that attach to the chains.
I’m pushing my luck here and I know it.
“Different questions. Hopefully not silly,” I murmur, drawing my metallic nails down around his nipple.
His breath hitches as he grunts. There’s an amount of pain with the violet wand, but his tolerance is high. His cock thickens as the blood travels south of his waist and my lips twitch.
“I know you’re an alpha who doesn’t balk at bloodshed,” I say. “I know that you killed one of your researchers two years ago because he was working on a dangerous side project that could have hurt people.”
“I told you this,” he says, forehead wrinkling. “It was an unsolicited project that created a virus. We don’t create viruses, we find solutions for what’s out there. Someone hired him to fuck us over, pin the virus on my company, and close us down. I was protecting my investments.”
Sometimes, people change their stories when you bring it back up, but Lucas is a straight shooter. He unapologetically owns his shit. I’m here for it.
“And your people,” I croon, my fingers sliding down his body. I enjoy the way he groans, and his eyes rolling back as he struggles not to thrust his hips forward.
I want to lick the vee that’s created as his abs meet the dip of his hips. My teeth torture my bottom lip as my nipples begin to pebble, struggling not to squeeze my thighs together. This is alsoa test to see how far I can go without feeling anxiety. I’m more scared that he’ll get upset and reject me at this point.
It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this vulnerable.
“You smell different,” he growls, his eyes snapping open.
