Page 164 of Retribution
Isolde stills as she gazes up at me, and I can see tear tracks staining her face.
“I… I have a really fucked up thing that I need you to do,” she says, beginning to crawl toward me.
While I’ve had several dreams of her doing this, blood has never been part of it. Neither has kidnapping and an attempted murder.
“I’m right here,” I say, moving closer to her and crouching down. “What do you need? Whatever it is, it’s yours.”
I don’t balk when she climbs into my lap covered in blood, and I stand to keep her out of the slip and slide of blood. No reason for more to get on her.
“I’m so fucking high,” Isolde breathes. “My skin hurts, everything is too bright…”
Realizing I’m underneath the lights, I hold her against me as I leave the stage and walk down the stairs. She wraps her legs around my waist, and without thinking pulls a gun from one of my holsters and shoots a guard in the head who is coming our way.
“We have some people helping us. Try not to kill them, Little Nightmare,” I say.
Isolde’s face crumples as she buries it in my neck, breathing me in.
“I’m so sorry,” she whispers.
“For what?” I gasp. “Isolde, we were betrayed by someone close to us. You have nothing to be sorry for. We should have been paying closer attention?—”
“No, I’m sorry for what I need you to do,” she mumbles.
Her skin isn’t warm, but when she glances up, her pupils are blown so wide I almost can’t see any color.
“It’s not your heat,” I say, my hand laying flat on her skin. “You said you’re high. What did she give you?”
“Rohypnol and Molly,” she rasps. “I need you. My skin feels too tight, and I’m so fucking horny I’m losing my mind.”
“Baby,” I sigh. “I can’t. You just had?—”
“I didn’t want them, I swear it,” she sobs, her body shuddering.
“No,” I growl, my bark pushing through the word. “Stop.”
Isolde looks shocked, and I take a deep breath.
“We aren’t going to victim blame,” I say. “I know that you didn’t want them, but I need to know that you understand what you’re asking. You could be bleeding somewhere.”
“I’m not, though…Back door activity is out of the question for a while,” she mutters. Isolde looks up as I growl, and I can’t help falling in love even more with her. There’s no one else like my omega. “Please.”
“Whatever you want,” I promise, moving her to lean against the wall. “Kill whatever comes this way, Little Nightmare.”
Her fingers move to unbuckle my pants, but they’re trembling too hard. Kissing her, I do it for her, whispering, “We’re rewriting your story, baby.”
“Yes,” she whimpers. “I need my marks back. She took them.”
I felt when Ophelia ripped our bonds away from us, and my soul still aches. It doesn’t matter that it was mere hours, I can’t imagine not having some part of Isolde live within me.
“I’m going to be in your head every goddamn day for the rest of your life,” I say, kissing her lips as she moans. “I’m going to be the mole on your ass, just so I can enjoy you sitting on me forever.”
Isolde giggles at my antics, though her fingers dig into my shoulders. I don’t know what this combination of drugs can do, but I can see that it’s mimicking the need of her heat. I hope someone had Ophelia out there, because I want her wrapped up in a bow for my girl.
I have Isolde,I tell Lucas. She’s high as a fucking kite on Molly and Rohypnol?—
Your dick better be knot deep inside her,Lucas says angrily to me.That combination will make an omega insane. It’s worse than a heat. Her heart could explode, Grant. Take it easy, don’t let her get excited, but orgasms are the only way to come down from that.
Thanks for the green light, boss,I mumble. She’s got my gun, maybe you should keep people away from the area behind the stage.
