Page 23 of Retribution
“What in the dominatrix shit is this?” Oliver asks, watching as Lucas slips his other wrist from the restraint. “Did you not realize that people are looking for you, asshole? How the fuck did you manage to get pinched by this…”
I have no idea what his next words will be because my hand is already pulling the gun that I have strapped to my thigh.
“Merde, that’s hot,” Alesso murmurs, coming closer. “Fuck, you smell good, topolina. Like…”
“What are the odds,” Oliver says, walking closer to me as I take a step back.
Lucas’ chest is solid as I back into him. I’m not sure of what’s going on here. Neither of these alphas seem like they want to hurt me, despite the handguns. If Oliver is a hacker worth his salt, it was just a matter of time before he found me.
This is what I wanted, I just hoped for a little more time with Lucas.
“The odds of what?” he asks, his nose dragging up my throat before he kisses my pulse point. “You smell like a green apple airhead. I want to suck and lick you up.”
My knees go weak, and I’m glad I wore my hair up in a high ponytail. My hair still swings along my back, but it allows Lucas’ lips free access to roam. After three weeks of testing him, figuring out if he has any deep dark secrets, I can see that he’s never once taken what didn’t belong to him.
All of his sexual partners have had consensual sex with him, and he hasn’t been with anyone since the sex club.
He is also truly unattached. Lucas meant it when he said he was considered a very eligible bachelor.
The scent of amaretto and cookies hits me in the face as Alesso gets even closer, and Lucas’ arm wraps around my waist to help hold me up.
“That’s interesting,” he whispers in my ear.
“What…” I gasp.
I can feel myself beginning to get overwhelmed as my chest heaves, trying to breathe more of their scents in. I’m touch starved, and Lucas’ arm around me is the closest thing I’ve had to a hug in years.
My nervous system is drowning in stimulation, and when I watch as Oliver gazes at me as if I’m the most precious thing in the world, I don’t know how to handle it.
I should pull away from Lucas, allow Oliver and Alesso to take him away.
“Breathe, darlin’,” Lucas murmurs. “Guys, you’re making her nervous.”
“Now I can see why you’ve been MIA,” Oliver murmurs. “Why are we making you nervous, baby? Is it because I found you? It’s insulting if you didn’t think I was good enough to.”
“Would my scent match be anything less than capable of going toe to toe with me?” I ask.
Oliver is a ghost. There’s no record of him anywhere. At eighteen, he disappeared from the face of the earth. Even then, there’s not a single photo of him available on the internet. It’s bizarre. I looked everywhere.
He could have scratched himself completely from having any kind of footprint, he simply chose not to.
It’s kind of diabolical, a true proverbial middle finger to the world.
“That’s a good girl. We aren’t going to beat around the bush, are we?” Oliver purrs. “Did you want the three of us together?”
“Yes, but only because Nico Domino wants you dead,” I grunt, feeling lightheaded as Oliver stands in front of me.
“Is this your version of torture?” he asks, glancing at my wand attachments.
“This is foreplay,” Lucas purrs. “I was hoping you’d cup my balls with those, Isolde. I suppose there will be other ways you can use them. I'll willingly let you tie me up any time.”
“You’re kinkier than I thought you’d be,” I whisper.
Oliver smells dangerous in the strangest of ways. Pink pepper and berries isn’t something I’ve ever smelled together until now, but there’s no other way to describe it. My mouth waters as I’m surrounded on all sides by them.
“Do you need space?” Lucas whispers.
“I think…I may be past that,” I rasp, sagging further in his arms as my strings are cut. There’s too much happening, and my mind is trying to keep me from freaking the fuck out.
