Undoing the alarm from my phone, I snuck downstairs. I could see the headlights when the truck pulled into my driveway. I glanced behind me one last time before opening the front door. As soon as he shut the truck off, I jogged down the driveway.
“Yo’ ass running like you gon’ get in trouble if you get caught.” Kreed teased when I snatched open the door.
I took one good look at him and smiled. He had on a pair of pajama pants and no shirt, like he’d rolled right out of bed and driven over here. “Kree and Aurora were in bed with me.” I laughed.
“I could’ve just come in,” he offered, making me shake my head.
“Nope. Yo’ ass wasn’t supposed to stay the other night.”
Last week, when we decided to do therapy and work on fixing our marriage, I ended up sleeping with this man.
He was supposed to leave, but instead, his ass fell asleep in bed with me.
Per usual, as soon as one of the kids woke up, they came into my bedroom begging for breakfast. When they saw Kreed in bed, the girls erupted into pandemonium, all four of them getting happy.
They just knew that he was back in the house permanently, and I hated to be the one to ruin their moment, but I did.
Their daddy was not back in our house, and it would be a while before I allowed him to move back in.
I was okay with us working on rebuilding our relationship, but we were going to continue doing so from two separate houses.
This prevented any issues for the children in case we couldn’t get it together.
I didn’t want to give my kids some false sense of hope.
On top of that, sneaking around was so much more exciting.
“You know you wanted me to stay.”
“I didn’t.” I shook my head. Hiking up my nightgown, I climbed over the middle console and straddled his lap. “Had a busy day today?” I asked as I kissed along his jawline.
“Practice and film.” Kreed shared while reclining in his seat.
“Fun.” I joked. “I found a therapist. Our first appointment is Tuesday night at six. You free?”
“Anything for you,” he declared. Cupping my ass, he pulled me further into his chest. “You smell good as hell.”
“How good?” I batted my eyelashes.
Instead of responding, he slid the straps of my nightgown off my shoulders and sucked my right nipple into his mouth while using his finger to tease the left one.
“Baby…” I moaned and tossed my head back.
“Take what you want, Sai. Ain’t that the reason you called me over here this late?” He taunted me with a wicked smirk as he continued to assault my nipples.
And he was in fact right. My hot light was on, and I needed him to put the fire blazing between my thighs out. Sticking my hand between us, I reached into his pajamas and stroked him slowly. “You talking like I’m the only one that wants it.”
He shook his head against my chest. “Nawl, you not.”
“Ummm,” I moaned as I fisted him. Lifting up slightly, I freed his dick from the restraints and sank down on him.
“Fuck, Sai…” he groaned and cuffed my ass in his hands. “Yo’ ass ain’t lie when you said you was horny. You wet as fuck.”
Twirling my hips over his lap, I rode him up and down. My head was tossed back, my mouth was slightly ajar, and my hands were gripping his arms. Every time I rolled to the tip, he pumped into me. “Sssss… This feels so good.”
“Shit, Masai.” He wrapped his arms around me, holding me in place while pumping upward. My thighs shook as they clinched around him. I was on the verge of an orgasm, and he knew exactly what to do to get me there.
Pushing me back against the steering wheel, Kreed wrapped his hand around my throat. “Yo’ pussy so fucking wet, Masai. I missed this shit.”
“Kreed… Sssss. Ughhh!”
“Nawl… Take that shit. This what you wanted, ain’t it? You can take it. This ain’t nothing new. You been taking this dick for years.”
Leaning up, he pumped faster, causing me to palm the roof of his truck. His pelvis was slamming into mine as he thrashed in and out of me. “Oooh! Ooohh! Fuck… I’m about to?—”
“Come for me then. Don’t talk about it. Let me feel that shit.”
When his grip on my neck tightened, my eyes rolled to the back of my head.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck!” I chanted while pounding the roof with my fist. “Baby!” I yelled when that all too familiar rush of pleasure ignited through my body.
I came. I came hard as hell. The way my muscles were contracting around him should’ve been illegal.
This was the second time Kreed and I had been intimate since agreeing to work on it, and my God, I could confidently say I missed this more than he did.
“Just like that.” He encouraged me when I pushed down onto him.
I felt needy in a sense. The orgasm wasn’t enough for me, and I needed to chase another one before the night came to an end.
Our bodies moved against each other as he rocked in and out of me.
When he lifted his ass from the seat and jutted his hips forward, he gnawed on his bottom lip. “I’m ’bout to fucking come.”
“Come, baby,” I whispered. “Come in yo’ pussy.” That shit worked like a charm. Kreed’s body shook violently as he erupted inside of me. It took a few minutes for both of us to come down from that orgasmic high, and when we did, we both were sporting goofy grins.
Forcing his back into the seat, he closed his eyes. “You hell.”
Resting my head in the crease of his neck, I laughed. “That was all you.”
“Got my ass out here sneaking around in front of my house like I’m a damn booty call or some shit.” He wrapped his arms around my waist and held onto me. “I love you.”
Yawning, I mumbled, “I love you more.”
“We still on for dinner later?”
“Yes, sir. My mom is going to come over and watch the kids for us.”
“Tell her I appreciate her.”
“I will.” I yawned again.
“You sleepy?” he asked.
I nodded. “Yes. Told you I had a long day.”
“You ready to go inside?”
“No.” I shook my head and nestled it further into his neck. “I’m okay right here.”
“Yeah, aight. Yo’ ass ’bout to fall asleep.”
“If I do, you’ll carry me inside.”
“I will,” he agreed and rubbed his hand up and down my back, causing a tingly feeling to shoot up my spine. “Remember that time you called yourself breaking up with me, and I snuck into your dorm room?”
“Scared the hell out of my roommate.” I tittered at the memory.
“Shit… I thought that was you coming in.” He shrugged. “Every time you call yourself done with me, I did some off-the-wall shit.”
“Like letting the air out of my tires because you knew I was going to go wherever I wanted.”
“Ain’t nobody tell yo’ ass to try and leave me.”
“You hurt my feelings.” I pouted.
“Nawl. I told yo’ ass you wasn’t ’bout to go to no house party, and you got mad.”
“Only because you stayed acting like you was my daddy or something.”
“Or… I was protecting you ’cause I knew niggas was planning on shooting that shit up.”
“Don’t matter.” I shrugged.
“Yo’ ass stayed trying to leave me. Like you forgot that I was gonna chase you. I never let you leave me back then, Masai. You should’ve known I wasn’t ’bout to let you go now.”
Rearing my body back, I stared down at him. “Did you know I would come back?”
Kreed licked his bottom lip and shook his head. “Nawl. I thought you was done for good. I for damn sure ain’t think this would happen. I knew I wasn’t gonna stop chasing you, though.”
“How long would you have?”
“Have what? Chased yo’ ass?”
I nodded.
“Till the day I took my last fucking breath. I’ll keep chasing you in all the ways that matter. The hard times, easy times, and all of the moments in between.”
“Why?”
“Because to me, Masai… you’re worth it. And honestly, the more I chase you, the more I realize I don’t want to stop. With you, I’m always going to keep running right beside you. Never ahead, never behind, just with you.”
“I think I like that.” I smiled.
“Good. I hope you get used to it. ’Cause I’m never letting you go. Definitely not ’bout to let you be happy with another nigga. That was your one time. Next time you even think ’bout giving another nigga a piece of you, they gone find his ass in a ditch somewhere.”
“The same goes for you, mister.” Grabbing him by the chin, I pulled his head down, so we were staring into each other’s eyes. “As long as you keep chasing me, I’ll continue running toward you. Never away from you, but always to you.”
“I think I like the sound of that.” He smirked.
I pecked his lips. “You better.”
My heart raced as I looked into Kreed’s eyes.
Remembering the way he used to make me feel, hell, the way he still makes me feel, even when shit went wrong.
My heart wants to hesitate because of the scars from our past, but reconciling with Kreed was showing me that love isn’t always perfect, but it’s real.
It’s not about erasing the past or pretending it didn’t hurt, but understanding that those painful moments were part of our story and choosing to move forward together made us stronger because of it. Putting my family back together was the only thing that mattered to me.
Sliding up behind me, Kreed wrapped his hands around my waist and nestled his head in the crease of my neck. “You good?”
Closing my eyes, I released a shaky breath and nodded. “I am.”
“If you’re not, I get it. I don’t want you to feel like you have to be here.”
“I know… I wanted to be here, though.”
Today was KJ’s birthday party. He’d turned one last week, and Kreed was determined to keep the celebrations separate.
All week, he’d been running around trying to make sure he had everything in order for today.
He’d reiterated over and over again that it wasn’t necessary for me to attend the party, but I wanted to be here.
We were working on our marriage, and KJ was now a permanent fixture in my life.
As hurt as all of this made me, it still wasn’t enough for me to not be here.
