“Let me clean you up.”
“Why don’t we take a bath, sir? There’s a suite behind the hidden door in the bookcase backstage. It’s all ours for the night.”
Finn cranes his neck and spots one of the shelves a little out of place, revealing a passage behind.
“Huh. Never knew there were more rooms hidden here.”
Jamie manages a smug smile. “Jareth charges a fortune for his secret play rooms.”
Finn hums and carries Jamie toward the hidden entrance. Jamie practically purrs in his arms.
The room behind the shelf is indeed luxurious. It’s decorated in rich hues of gold and red, and a four-poster bed and a steaming pool await them. There’s also a serving cart laden with food.
Finn takes his time washing sweat and come from Jamie’s skin. He coaxes Jamie to have some juice and a few bites of cake until Jamie falls asleep in his arms. Finn has no idea how he deserves this much trust after everything they’ve been through. He’s tired though too. He manages to put Jamie into bed without waking him and then allows himself to doze while Jamie drools on his chest.
It’s the middle of the night when Jamie stirs again.
“Finn?” he mumbles.
“I’m right here. How do you feel?”
Jamie stretches like an overgrown cat and snuggles even closer. “Good. Sore. Alive.”
“You did very well,” Finn whispers against Jamie’s skin. “I’d love to do a similar session again if you let me.”
Jamie shudders in his arms. “About that–I asked my manager to clear my schedule for the next few months. I could come and stay in Iceland with you for a while–” Jamie breaks off. “If you want me to, that is.”
Finn pushes Jamie onto his back to kiss him. He feels like his chest might burst with joy.
“If I want you to? I thought you understood by now how much I love you,Jamie minn. I’d live with you anywhere.”
Jamie blinks up at him and his eyes well up. “Oh, thank God,” he breathes before he pulls Finn down into another kiss.
