Finn leans forward, draping himself all over Jamie and allowing him to feel the hard press of his erection against his ass. He nibbles on Jamie’s earlobe for a second.

“You did very well. I told you that honesty can get you places. Now, hold still while I prepare you, and tell me when it gets too much.”

Jamie wants to argue that he’s plenty prepared due to the plug that’s been stretching him open for what feels like hours, but he supposes this is one of those occasions when arguing with Finn is futile. So, he relaxes as best as he can and tries to keep the embarrassing sounds to a minimum while Finn fucks him first with the plug, then with his fingers. His endeavor isn’t particularly successful, especially when Finn uses his other hand to play with the clamps, but at least Jamie’s incoherent moaning spurs him on. He isn’t sure how long it takes until Finn retreats his fingers, but by the time he does, Jamie is hard again. He hears the rustling of fabric and a condom package being ripped open. Jamie spreads his legs impossibly wider, almost delirious with want. If Finn isn’t going to fuck him soon, he’s going to combust, Jamie is sure about it.

Finally, fucking finally,he feels the blunt press of Finn’s cock against his entrance. He slips in inch by inch, still so very careful and in control. Jamie has an inkling that bottoming had sucked for him in the past because no one was ever as focused on Jamie’s needs as Finn is now. Jamie tries to push his hips upwards wantonly, to meet Finn’s thrusts, but the ropes and Finn’s bodyweight hold him down. It’s frustrating and arousing at the same time.

“Hold still and take it,” Finn growls. “You’re not setting the pace.”

Jamie surrenders then. He thought he did so before, but now his body sinks deeper into the position, both more relaxed and more poised at the same time. Nothing matters besides the delicious drag of Finn's cock pressed against his prostate and the caress of his hand, stroking him in rhythm with his thrusts. The pleasure drags on longer than Jamie thought possible, climbing higher every second until he finally breaks, coming with a desperate wail, thrashing and shuddering from the force of it.

Finn groans and bites down on his shoulder hard as he comes too. Jamie slumps, breathing hard and still whimpering every few seconds as aftershocks flash through his body.

They lie there for a few minutes, Finn’s nose pressed against Jamie’s neck. He just breathes him in. Too soon, Finn slips out of him and lifts himself up. He turns Jamie on his back, leaning close again and kissing him thoroughly.

“You did so well,sæti. You took me so well.”

Jamie feels a smile tug at his lips. “I’m good at everything,” he slurs.

“Yes,” Finn says, starting to untie his legs and rubbing his ankles. “You really are everything one could ask for, and then some.”

Jamie has to swallow against the lump forming in his throat. He concentrates on Finn’s touches again to avoid drowning in emotion. Finn cleans them up and brings him snacks and drinks. Jamie never saw the appeal in cuddling after sex, but now he can’t get enough of Finn’s bare skin against his.

“Do you want to watch a movie?” Jamie asks hopefully.Lame,a nasty part of him immediately scolds, are you a 16–year–old on a first date?

But Finn seems to be genuinely pleased by his suggestion. Jamie can’t remember the last time he spent the whole day in bed, just talking, eating and watching bad movies. It’s pure bliss.

Chapter 8

Thorfinn

Finn’shorseracesdowna long beach, black mountains rising out of its red sand facing the roaring ocean. He’s home. Finn feels the wind ruffle his hair and hears the screams of the seagulls tumbling in the skies. He needs to show Jamie the rocks where the puffins nest in the summer. There are going to be thousands of them this time of the year.

Jamie!

Finn looks around him, but Jamie is nowhere to be seen. There’s no other horse either, no footprints in the sand. But he should be here, he should be with him. Finn feels panic constrict his chest. Jamie is in danger, he knows it.

He finds himself standing in front of a cave. The sea is roaring behind him, and the smell of salt and kelp is heavy in the chilly air. Finn feels the familiar weight of his sword by his side, but he knows better than to put his hand on the hilt. There’s someone lurking in the darkness of the cave. They’re near enough that Finn should be able to see them, but the darkness thickens around them like a cloak.

“Where is he?” Finn asks. They know who he’s talking about.

Bell-bright laughter answers him, and Finn feels his hackles rise. This isn’t a joke!

“Do you consider your debt paid?” he growls. Behaving discourteous towards the Hidden People is unwise, but Finn is too worried for Jamie to care. “If you won’t help me find him, why are you wasting my time?”

She steps into the light, then. A fair-haired woman wearing jeans and an outdoor-jacket. In Reykjavík, she would have easily passed for a local, but Finn can sense her ancient power nonetheless.

“Don’t worry, my child. He’s already chosen you, and you’ve chosen him. Don’t let him convince you otherwise.”

Finn jolts up from his sleep, panting. He hasn’t seen her in years, not even in a dream. But now she came to him to talk about Jamie.

He’s already chosen you. Don’t let him convince you otherwise.

The words still sit heavy behind his breastbone, full of promises and warnings of dangers to come. A fond smile tugs at Finn’s lips. He knew Jamie was trouble when he first saw him, all arrogant smiles and lofty pretenses. And some twisted fate wants to have it that this proud man loves to submit to Finn. He adores Jamie for it, admiring his bravery and treasuring the vulnerability he allows him to see. Finn touches the bed beside him where Jamie had fallen asleep after their session the other day. It’s empty.

“Jamie?”

Finn jumps out of the bed and treads on bare feet into the living room. It’s the early hours of morning and weak daylight falls into the room. He finds Jamie curled on the couch, staring at the screen of his mobile. He flinches as Finn enters.
