Ezra reached down, caressed my cheek, and tilted my head up. He stroked it softly with a snide grin on his face.

A shiver rippled through me. Each word and compliment he spoke caused my heart to grow fuller until it left no space in my chest cavity.

Ezra sighed. “You submitting to me on your knees was the perfect way to start my favorite holiday.” His thumb brushed my bottom lip then forced its way inside my mouth. My stomach fluttered. I flicked the tip of his finger with my tongue. It felt like I was under a spell and only Ezra could break it.

The sound of his phone ringing brought me out the fog I had gotten lost in. I yanked back and fell back on my ass, looking around my room.

“Am I really needed?” Ezra said into the phone. “Can’t Lucas help instead?”

An annoyed look was plastered on his face. Swallowing hard, I pushed off the floor. I rubbed my throat, still feeling the abuse of his dick.

“Fine. I’ll meet you there.” His jaw ticked. “I said I’ll meet you there.” He hung up the phone.

“Well, Bumblebee, looks like duty calls.” His eyes ran down my body. “We’ll have to pick this back up later.”

Tonight was the Halloween party, so I knew later wouldn’t happen tonight. I said nothing though. It was like my brain and mouth couldn’t come together to form words.

Ezra stepped closer, circling his arm around my waist and yanking my body into him. “Don’t take those sleeping pills anymore. It upsets me when I call and you don’t answer. You don’t want me upset, right?”

My eyes narrowed. “I’m not obligated to answer your phone calls.”

He tittered. “You don’t want to see what I do next time you don’t. Make it easier on the both of us and keep yourself available.” My mouth turned upside down.

Ezra dipped his head and pressed a hard, sloppy kiss against my mouth. It felt like he was trying to devour me. Blood rushed through my head.

My hand went to his hip and my nails dug into his flesh.

“I can still taste me on your tongue,” he growled, nipping my bottom lip with his teeth.

His kiss left my lips tingling once he released me. “Answer my calls and no more pills.”

I narrowed my eyes at him as he leaned down to pull his briefs back up. He stepped around me and started collecting his clothes. Once he was dressed, he faced me again and cocked his head to the side.

Something I couldn’t make out passed over his face, but it was gone just as quickly as it appeared.

“So much temptation,” he mumbled, shaking his head. With a sigh he headed for the door of my bedroom.

My feet stayed planted where I stood while my mind processed what just happened. I was starting to become too comfortable around Ezra. My body didn’t even fight against him anymore. My thoughts shifted to my sister. She would never have the chance to find a guy and fall in love. Her life was cut away so early that it didn’t feel right for me to get close to a guy and build anything beyond sex. I needed to get a grip on my emotions and remember that the next time I was around Ezra.
