Page 166 of Merciless Obsession
“Fuck!”
“Who told you to go after Ziora?” I asked.
He clenched his jaw tightly. His face was red and twisted with pain.
“I said, who sent you after Ziora?”
His eyes flickered open and closed. “Fuc-fuck o-off,” he struggled to get out through a raspy cough.
I grinned. “Tsk, tsk.” This time putting more force behind it, I slammed the same knee. Tommy’s agonizing yells filled The Barn.
Reaching for his face, I gripped it tightly. “I’m not in the fucking mood for smartasses. Who sent you after her?” My voice was low and my eyes narrowed. When he refused to speak, I laid Wilma down, nodded and pushed up.
“Are you guys gonna join in?” Ziora asked. I smiled, noting she had come.
“Nah, Ez needs this,” Nazai mentioned.
Turning to where the wall of tools were, I grabbed the cattle prod, rope, and shrew’s fiddle then walked back to Tommy. He watched me carefully, panting heavily.
“One more chance to answer me.”
Something flashed in Tommy’s eyes but he quickly tried to cover it up. “Do your worst.”
Laughing darkly, I slowly bobbed my head. Shocks sparked through my body when I tied the rope in a generic noose and pulled it over Tommy’s head. Pulling it, I strung it through the hook above and turned around.
“Bumblebee.” I nodded for her to come forward.
A shocked expression filled her face. She glanced at Nazai who nodded. “It’s okay, they can’t hurt you anymore,” I assured her.
She swallowed hard and slowly walked toward me.
“Don’t do anything that’ll burst her stitches or her wound is never gonna heal,” Lucas fussed.
“I got this.”
When Ziora got close enough, I smiled and leaned over, kissing the side of her face. “You feeling okay, baby?”
Her eyes locked on Tommy and she nodded slowly.
“Good. I hate to think of you being hurt.” I held the rope out. “Hold this.”
Hesitantly, she dropped her eyes. “It’s okay. Take it.”
Grabbing the rope from me, I felt my chest swell seeing it in her hands. “Now pull it.”
Her eyes widened but she didn’t protest. As she pulled the rope, we watched it tighten around Tommy’s neck. He sputtered and fought against the chains holding his hands behind his back.
“Ezra,” Ziora called out shakily.
I turned on the cattle prod and hit the button a couple times. Tommy’s eyes darted toward it, bulging out of his head. I shoved it forward and his body convulsed the moment it hit the center of his chest.
“Release the rope, Bumblebee.”
She did as I asked. Tommy gasped for air and his legs twitched.
“Still not talking?”
When he refused to speak, I shoved the prod into him again, this time in his neck. His body convulsed. The smell of his skin burning filled my nose. His groin grew dark and wet.
