Page 123 of Merciless Obsession
“This is seriously too much,” she mumbled before pulling the shirt over her head.
Grinning, my eyes dropped back to my phone.
River
You’ve only known her a few months and you’re already talking about proposing? Don’t you think you should slow down?
When you know you know. Ain’t that right, Nazai? You married sis after a month.
Nazai
I married her because I had to. If I had it my way, I would still be a bachelor.
I laughed and ran my hand down my mouth.
Better not let sis hear that, she’ll slice you up again.
Lucas
I’m not stitching anyone else up because you guys can’t control your women.
Nazai
My wife is under control and she’s already on my shit list so she knows not to play with me right now.
Haha, this is Cashlynn we’re talking about. There is no controlling that woman.
Nazai
Unless she wants me to tie her to the bed for the next four months. She’ll sit down and behave.
What she do that was so bad?
Nazai
She thought she’d prove a point and take a kill job while five months pregnant so she knows not to try me.
Again, I laughed. My brother would have his hands full with Cashlynn for the rest of his life. She wasn’t the one to just sit down and listen like some meek housewife. She was hell on wheels and never failed to show it.
“Inaya’s about to pull up,” Ziora said.
Lifting my eyes to her, I stepped over and wrapped an arm around her waist.
“I could have taken you home.”
She shook her head. “It’s fine. I got some things to handle and she’s gonna help me with it.”
My brows furrowed. “Like what?”
She smirked. “That’s for me to know and you not to.”
Licking my lips, I pulled her into me. “You know that doesn’t work for me.”
“You have control issues, Mr. Tavarez,” she said softly.
Dipping my head, I placed my forehead on hers. “Only when it comes to you.” Lowering my lips to hers, I captured her mouth and kissed her deeply. Moving my hand from her waist to her neck, I cuffed it and curled my fingers into her skin.
“My phone. I think she’s here,” Ziora mumbled against my lips.
