Licking her lips, I pulled up. “I’ll see you tonight, at my brother’s club.”

“Don’t you just want to celebrate with your brothers?” she breathed.

“Nah, why miss bringing my first birthday in with my future wife.” I kissed her again before she could respond.

“Mhm, I need to go,” she moaned.

Grinning, I pulled back and brushed her bottom lip with my thumb. “Don’t make me have to come find you tonight. We both know I will.”

Ziora rolled her eyes and her mouth curled into a small smile. I watched her gather her things and when she headed out the bedroom, I followed her.

We got to the front door just as Inaya started beeping her horn.

“Hurry up, Ziora! You two can get lovey dovey later!” she shouted once Ziora opened the front door.

I laughed while Ziora mumbled something I couldn’t make out.

“Bye.”

She went to leave but I stopped her and kissed her one last time. Her lashes fluttered and her cheeks were tinted red when I pulled back.

Finally, I let her go and watched as she walked down the sidewalk to where Inaya was parked in my driveway.

Once she was in the car and pulled out of the driveway, I shut and locked the door.

Unlocking my phone, I didn’t bother reading the rest of the messages before sending one.

Nazai, that number? I need this ring done ASAP!

I didn’t care if they thought it was too soon. As soon as I got the ring made, I would be placing it on Ziora’s finger and we were gonna plan a wedding. Maybe even elope so we didn’t have to wait any longer.

I started toward my stairs to get ready for the day. My barber was due to come over and cut my hair within the hour, then I needed to run by my firm briefly.
