She laughed. “Nooo.”
“I told ye. The man is a right prick.”
“Are you saying you never sent a picture like that to a woman?”
I scoffed. “If I did, it was an exchange of pictures. I would never do it random like that.”
Lumi groaned and pressed her face into the pillow. “Why would he do that?”
“You want the truth?”
“No.” She groaned. “But tell me anyway.”
“The last guests left. He’s drunk, alone, and wishin’ ye were in his bed. Right now, he’s waxing his knob thinkin’ about ye. Here, give me yer phone.”
“No, why? Don’t answer him.”
“Oh, I’m gonna focking answer him.” I restrained her arms with my chained hand so she couldn’t take her phone from me, but Lumi quickly relaxed against me.
“Just ignore him.”
“No. The only appropriate answer to an unsolicited dick-pick is to return the favor.”
“Damian, stop it. You’re making me nervous.”
“There.” I handed her back her phone and smiled when she looked at the picture and giggled low.
“That’s grotesque. What is that thing?”
“A massive black dick.”
Lumi read my text to Logan aloud. “What the hell? Why would you send me a picture of your finger? I want a man who’s packing some real meat.” She laughed. “What if he thinks I sent that to him?”
I laughed with her and buried my head in her hair. “I hope he does. That picture will kill his buzz.”
When our laughter died down, Lumi’s eyes were hooded, but there was a smile on her mouth. “There was nothing wrong with Logan’s size. That black one scared me.”
“Ye’re not tellin’ him that.”
Lumi yawned. “Maybe he’ll apologize tomorrow when he’s sober. I’m sure he wouldn’t have sent that picture if he’d been sober.”
“Of course, he would’ve. I don’t trust him.”
Lumi didn’t answer, and from her breathing, I could tell she was drifting off.
“Are ye sleepin’?”
“Mhmm…”
“If I ask ye somethin’ personal, will ye answer me honestly?” I whispered.
“What is it?”
“Do ye regret it?”
“Regret what?”
I hesitated before I whispered. “The night we’re pretendin’ never happened.”
